Good Value & exceptional sound

These were replacement speakers for some older Sony speakers. They have excellent sound and fit perfectly in the existing cutouts for the old ones.

sound really great and for the price can't complain, plays great for rock and pop, very good bass, would absolutely buy again. sounds like i have an amp pushing them!

Right size and bolt pattern

I used these speakers to replace my 4 year old Sony 1610's that called it quits. I thought about switching to JBL, but I didn't feel like drilling new mounting holes. Also, the Sony speakers come with caps to cover the mounting holes. I'm not sure why JBL and other brands don't have them b/c it's definitely a cleaner look. They fit the existing holes and sound good. The real test will be how long they last. I was not impressed with the life expectancy of my past Sony speakers, so I hope these are an improvement.

Good setup

After hooking these to a marine 4ch amp I was very impressed. They have a good weight to them (big magnets) and clear highs and even put out a lot more bass than I'd have guessed. You should use an amp to drive these a headunit alone will work, but it's night and day. They put my 1990 OEM speakers to shame. Well worth the cost. I also like the white cone and cover, as most boats are white.

My boat came with only two speakers mounted aft, now the bow has a pair. These are very nice looking and they sound great

Excellent Speakers

Very good quality. Boat use in AZ, and the heat kills the cones on normal ones. These look like they should last a lot longer. Sound great. Got a package with amplifier that was almost $100 cheaper than anyone else.
Cons....the holes didn't line up, and needed a little customization. Could be the boat's fault. You would think they would all be standard size, with same holes. All in all a great value!

Good speakers for a stock 25W head unit

My boat had a set of older Sony speakers and after 7 years needed replaced. I upgraded to these co-axial speakers and they proved to be a good investment. Bass is pretty good and the mids and highs are crisp. Mounted to the same holes, all 4 speakers mounted and working in 20 minutes.
