I purchased these at a "Big Box Store" 6 months ago. I was not expecting large bass from these speakers, but rather crisp clear sound. I hooked 4 of them up to a Sony Xplod 510 deck. While playing CD's, the clarity is unsurpassed. I initially found the low ranges to be dismal. However, it appeared that with time, the woofers actually "broke in" and deliver significantly more bass (enough to rattle the mirror in my van). Once the sound was balanced on the deck, these speakers completely filled the large interior space of my ride.
These speakers have definitely grown on me. Just be prepared to gently break them in for 15-20 hours to attain balanced bass and clarity. Great quality and performance for the price.

nice sound
One of my friends has a set of these in his car. They really thump for mids but have clean sound. At first i though they weren't gonna sound good because they're sony but man was i wrong. They're good speakers but his door panel things cover them up so you can't see how nice they look.
