Dislike no navigation but other then that works great and sounds even better

Great Value - Gets the Job Done

I was really hesitant to pull the trigger on this stereo after my 10 year old after market stereo of $1000 died. I was thinking to myself, OK this stereo is less than half the price of the the broken one Im replacing but right now money is tight so I'll get it and see how it goes. I've never heard of or dealt with Sound Storm Labs devices before. I'm actually extremely pleased with this SSL DD988ACP! This thing sounds good, was easy to hook up and hooks up to my phone without issue. I can now charge my phone while using it to pull maps and music through the stereo. I like everything about this stereo except for one thing.... I've had to press the pinhole "reset" button 3 different times now. I've only had it installed about a full week now. Not sure if maybe its the heat or maybe the CPU is weak but every once in awhile the screen will freeze. It's not a deal breaker for me though. I Simply press the reset button and it comes back to life. Would I buy this specific stereo again? Nope. I wouldn't. I would however buy this brand again. If I could do it all over again, I'd probably buy the next stereo up (for higher output wattage and hopefully it wouldn't freeze like this one does).
