great overall
I have heard some good things of soundgate so I went with this adapter and split the signal to my amp. I liked the 2 mounting holes. he website says it boosts the signal a bit, no adjustable gain (I hate those). Well I was worried about the signal being modified and possible noise. I kept the power wires away and tapped the rear speakers. Excellent sound, no distortion. I have yet to adjust the gains but I blasted the music and then turned it off, NO humming or distortion to speak of when I press the gas. Great overall, would buy again.

great overall
very straightforward, easy to use. No gain adjustments (thank God! as I didn;t want to have to deal with tweaking those as well). Sound quality is great. Per the instructions I kept it close to the amp away from any power or remote wire and no distortion whatsoever. I owned a cheapo LOC in my old car and the amp noise whined when I reved the engine. With the soundgate I have no issues. I tapped the rear speakers and ran this to the amp for a sub and two speaker installation as I wanted to keep the factory deck. I split the signal to the amp. No issues whatsoever. would buy again and recommend. Oh, it comes with two holes on either end for mounting which I used to mount next to the speaker under them in the truck. Holding up well.
