Well built!
This truck box suits me well. On my 2005 Chevy Silverado single cab, I put in on the passenger side and had to move the seat forward one click, but no big deal, I rarely carry passengers and when I do, I get rid of them ASAP because I don't like people. It has a pretty big internal volume and is very well-built. The speaker terminal cup is fairly heavy duty. It has enough depth for most 8 inch subs without having to resort to a shallow mount. I used a Cadence S1W8D2.v2 sub and an 1100w Boss amp. Great combo and hits hard!

this Atrend box I purchased for my 85 worked for what I was doing for a sub enclosure.

Not Bad
Bought this to replace a factory sub in my 99' Expedition. It does the job, sub was blown before I got the truck so I can't compare the sound but for the money I'm not complaining.

Pleasantly surprised
I installed this sub in a 2000 Suburban to replace the worn-out factory subwoofer. The original sub was 2 ohm, so I wasn't sure how much output I would get with the SS8 and the factory amp. I was pleasantly surprised by both the volume and quality of the sound. It was just the right amount to round out the low end and add some thump.

Nice Surprise!
First, I ran these from the factory Dodge head unit radio, in parallel from back door speakers. Surprised they worked with enough power from the factory radio & sounded decent. Then I hooked them up to a 40w, 2-channel amp. Man, these little subs light up! I listen to rock, country, electronica, jazz (not so much hip-hop). Had to turn down the low freq cross-over setting on the amp, so they didn't get too much of a muddy sound. Worth the $15-20 bucks , if you can find them. Great sound, Highly Recommend.

Good cheap sub
Bought this because it was the cheapest 8" sub on the site. Honestly just planned on using it as a test sub for a Dayton plate amplifier I bought. Built a 0.9 cubic foot box for it and was very surprised. Of course it doesn't really hit the lows but mid and high bass is pretty good, great for what you pay. Running 70 watts from the amp to it and it's now under my desk providing bass for my PC system. Would recommend for a cheap easy sub.
