The Soundstream MPQ-4US replaced my Clarion EQS746 that quit working after four years of dependable service. I switched units because of the digital features the Soundstream model offered. Installation was as simple as unplugging the RCA connections from my old unit and plugging them into the new one. I took this opportunity to ground my Kenwood head unit independently to bare metal under the foot well and ground the MPQ-4US to the head unit casing using a small screw used for securing peripherals to my desktop computer. This eliminated the engine whine that came through my speakers from using the OEM ground. The MPQ-4US works like a dream. Sounds great! The SD card slot (primary) plays mp3 tunes and the USB (secondary) reads mp3 music from my Scandisk cruzer. It will not power or play my iPod Touch. The SD/USB controls work well (it fades to the next song) and the EQ control knobs are the perfect size. The only thing that I would change is the font used on the unit to Arial.
