Awesome design and quality! REF2.370

I am of the old-school amp crowd and preference. But after carefully examining the circuit board of the new Reference amp 2.370, even I have to admit that the new-school design is better...and of higher overall quality. Better board design, caps, power supply...its all there, and all better than ""back in the day". I also suspect that the newer components will last longer...but only time will tell that. Bottom line is, I'm sold on the new reference amps.

Love Soundstream Reference Series

This is my second Reference amp. I have a REF2.640 powering my subwoofer.
These amps are for the people out there looking for a good Sound Quality install. Tons of adjustments to be made...which means this amp is not for the novice installer. If you don't understand the knobs, take it to a professional.
These amps do rated power and do it very cleanly. I really like the understated design as well. Not too gaudy like other amps are these days.
Very happy that Soundstream brought these amps back. Highly recommend if it suits your needs.

Reference Series

The reason why I purchase this soundstream Reference Series is that way back in old days around in 90's here in the Philippines this brand of amplifier was to much expensive. The different between old Reference Series and in new Reference Series was the outer aluminum case has a name on it SoundStream. Second the old amp has the build in fuse but in the new ones external fuse is needed and the last is the circuit board or PCB board in old v.s the new ones board has a similarity but the new has more component in it. Hope that this new models of Reference Series has better life span than the older ones and hope is not made in China like my sub woofer amplifier Power Coustik ZR 1500D it's made in Korea, Korea better than China

Clean Amp

Very clean amp, I also bought the REF 500x1 and came with the bass nob and it did no good what's so ever, I rather have a Preamp EQ for sure, it didn't make no different with one 10in woofer maybe with 2 of them with the bass nob, but I like the smoother bass for better choice of music but the 2x370 is a clean amp for separates for sure.

Just what I needed!

I am old school. I bought this amp because I needed a concert sound in my truck. I bridged it on 2 Kicker CVRs (4 ohm ran in series) and I have the volume being controlled through my head unit so I can adjust the base accordingly. It puts out exactly what I need. He can pump inside without bothering anyone else or turn it up and beat the block. I highly recommend. It did get hot once so I put a fan on it and had no problems since. Thinking about buying another one to run the speakers and tweeters inside the doors. Great clean power for very little money.

Soundstream Reference Series

Why i purchase this amp i am and old school guy a 37 yrs old. This brand Soundstream here in the Philippines around in 90's was to much expensive. The different between the old model in reference series. 1. The aluminum case the new one has a name on it attach in the aluminum which the older has only appear in the upper left side on the amp. 2. The bulid in fuse on the older model in the newer model all Reference Series amps has to be an external fuse. 3. The PCB board look similar on the older one but the newer has more electronic component in it. Which i belive that the newer Reference Series model has a advantage in power tuning. I hope to that the new model is not made in China. I have a class d Power Acoustik RZ1500D was made un Korea which is better than China.
