Excellent sound, solid construction, and good looking.

I've tried a plethora of subwoofers before these. 10s and 12s, ground pounders and high bass head poppers, expensive and cheap. I had one of these and it really did it all so I got another.

These have excellent frequency response. They start dropping off around 30hz in a tight sealed box and they easily play up towards 120-150hz. They have a sort of sound that can make any music sound good. I've been trying a long time to find something that just sounds good all the time. The closest thing I can think of to one of these would be a 12" alpine type R (2012 gen.) that I owned. Many of the other subwoofers I've tried are just too deep bass for me, like vibrating your butt more than hearing sound. I like bass I can HEAR. I've also felt the other end of the spectrum, where a subwoofer has lots of punch and kick to it but lacks deep bass you can feel.

This is, in my opinion, the best subwoofer out there. I'm sure that's not true. I'm certain there's something better, but I'm satisfied with 2 of these. They blend perfectly with my mids and highs without any obvious lacking frequencies all the way down to around ~30hz. They will play with everything from christian to 70s to rap to techno to jazz to world music to rock to classical. Whilst being so perfect I can still turn things up to 11 and vibrate my side view mirrors running only 500 WATTS RMS. (Clean) I have just ordered a soundstream rub1.1600D and that will give these subs a run for their money. I cannot wait to update this review when I install the new amplifier and finish tuning.

Awesome subwoofer

This subwoofer is a really amazing subwoofer especially for the price, took no time to break it in. Sounds just as good as my Memphis 12 for half the price just deeper bass.

These are great

These are good subs, but whoever said they can compete with type r’s were severely under powering their type r’s. I hooked one of these up to 500rms and could barely turn the gain on my amp up without clipping. I hooked the same amp to a type r, and could turn the gain up all the way without clipping. These can’t handle half as as much power as type r’s but they do sound good for all music. That’s why I’m running two of these on 500rms and two type r’s on 1500rms
