i wanted a single point source driver for open baffle.
i liked the compact shallow design of the SP2.808.
i am using these with the the pro soundstream x-over
and a subwoofer. sub to mid x-over about 150hz +/-.
these speakers are very loud! they lack some midbass
impact but the sub takes care of that. my ears hear
a bit of midrange shout but that is easily EQ'd out.
overall sound quality is good, depending on source
and so far i like them in OB. hopefully more reviews
will start popping up

here's my update. i have these speakers on a small baffle (14 x 22 ) about 5ft apart and a foot out from the back wall. my listening position
is in a hydro exercise pool and i am 5 ft in front of the speakers and
they are aimed straight out. so far they sound amazing! clean. tight,
and very dynamic! very open and wide sound stage. the more i listen the more i like em! if you thought about it at all, you should try em.
very reasonably priced for their performance.
