Great Sounding Amp

I recently purchased this amp and am very pleased with it's performance. i am running a pair of 600 watt speakers off of this amp in a ported box.

with the bass boost off, this amp pounds the subs, and pounds them with the utmost clarity. it takes a lot of effort to have this amp clip and distort. a very high quality amp, especially for the price. this is worth every penny.

this amp is also underrated, and will put out around the rated wattage(usually a little more). very enjoyable sound produced by this amp as well. did i mention that already? i just really enjoy this amp.

it is also very easy to tune and maintain. the 800.2 is built very sturdily and very rugged. it will take alot of abuse. the chassis is pretty heavy, yet efficient at dissipating heat. the only odd thing about the amp is that the fuse is not external. if something pops, you are going to need to open up the amp and replace the fuses from within.

but still, a very durable amp that will sound good and pound the subs without a problem.

Great Amp

This is one super clean amp with ton's of features for an amp. Not only does it perform well but it looks good doing it also. I highly recommend this amp, you can't go wrong with SoundStream, still the best in the industry.

Same as P800.2

I owned this amplifier and connected it in place of my rockford fosgate P 800.2 amplifier. Was there a difference? NO, the only difference was that the rockford 800.2 was very underated (about 35) watts per channel so each sub was getting 435 at 2 ohms with the rockford and with the Soundstream each sub was getting about 400 straight rms. Does that matter? NOT MUCH, the soundstream produced a clearer sound to the subs vs. the 800.2 seriously! I tried both of these amplifiers back to back on different settings, different music and different wire gauges. What is the outcome?
The Soundstream 800.2 will impress anyone in the industry and is just an excellent amplifier with unbelevable options to tune your bass to perfections. If you have never purchased a Soundstream amplifier, you are missing out on the best price to quality to wattage ever. Do not be fooled by the so called SoundStorm which try to act as a soundstream, and they are not. I have owned the VGA 800.2 and I was so impressed with it that I purchased the VGA1600.2! Unbelievable sound quality and wattage! The price is just to good to be true, but it's not!
