It works well for the price. Manual is a bit light, but it is not hard to figure out and install. Would recommend this unit if you don't want to pay for the name

just right for the price

Bought one for my wifes truck (2014 Ram 1500) Sound is great (louder than factory) - Picks up stations very well (becare not to hook up to Satellite wire) - Love the Multiple band Equalizer - GPS works very well - OK now for the Not So Great = Clock setting is weird, instead of picking time zone, you have to pick how many hours you from GMT?... and the clock display is small - Time is very important to most folks - and is kinda hard to see when Sun is bright (it has display ajustment) BUT for the Price I really like it... so much so that I got another onr for our RV !!!

Great price

Great radio and lot of features that the more name brand radios don't have

Good unit for the price.

I bought this as a replacement for a stock Dodge Ram double din about a month ago. Installation was relatively straight-forward on this unit. Fair warning though- the instructions aren't exactly clear for either install or operation. I have to remove the unit and change the wiring to get the video to operate, as it currently registers that I'm on the move, even though I'm not and I can't play video.

Sound is good, operation is fairly easy. I've paired it with my phone, and calls are clear. I enjoy having the FM tuner, and being able to use a micro SD loaded with music files. The files, however, cannot be arranged in any useful folder/genre arrangement, as no matter how I store them on the card or tag the files, they don't sort.

Navigation is decent as well; but will not start while the micro SD is installed. That card must be removed, navigation started, and then SD reinstalled. After that, it all works good until the next key cycle. Some have noted that the sound changes with function changes, and I've found that true. When NAV is running, the volume appears to be separately controlled for each screen. Not a big deal for me.

The touch screen seems to work well, and although the FM works, the reception is not as good as a stock head.

Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, especially for the price. It has glitches, as describe above; but I feel it's a good value for the price. If you want better functionality without adjusting for operational hiccups, spend more money.

soundstream VRN-64HB

Purchased to replace asomewhat cheaper Chinese version which quit after a week. This one has good sound, decent Navi system and looks great. Only problem so far is inability to get backup camera working. For the money, well received

Great Unit

Stereo, GPS, and BU camera work great! Installation was fairly easy. Instructions need to be more detailed. I had to figure out that the metal tools included were for removing the face plate and metal sleeve before installing a vehicle specific bracket. Email support was very helpful. I will always look here first for my electronic needs!!!

Soundstream Stereo with back up camera VRN-64-HB

I bought this as a replacement for my 2007 Sierra 1500 in June 2017. Installation was suppose to be straight forward & easy...Not at all. The instructions are neither complete or easy to understand. I had the stereo installed, but never has worked from 1st installment. I just recently had it re-installed and stereo NO GOOD.

Sound is okay, operation of stereo is completely complicated to set or control any of the options it comes with. Video doesn't work, Bluetooth won't pair up to my phone, GPS will not let you change states, CD player doesn't read or save any music or sort properly without SD. It was suppose to be a replacement...it's a nightmare.

I wouldn't recommend this stereo or the manufacturer to anyone.

I am writing this review on the Soundstream VRN-64-HB and the Barcam 221.
I ordered this stereo for a trip I was going on so I ordered it June 25, they shipped it June 27th because it was 2 day shipping, but like everything else it showed up June 31 the night I was leaving for vacation, so behold to my surprise no stereo on my trip. Company don't deliver on Saturdays which Sonic Electronics when I ordered it forgot to tell me this, how convenient.

I tried contacting Soundstream...no results. Tried contacting Sonic Electronics...no results. Tried contacting Walmart...no results. Pretty sad that no one can help or respond to my issues.

Definitely need a full working stereo not some piece of junk. Just trying to get a new working complete stereo that I ordered.

I can't see why only 60 day warranty on return item especially if it doesn't inform you of that when ordering.

1 month old and Some features stopped working

The Navigation screen and maps stopped working - The item no longer accepts mirroring from android phones - which is why I purchased the item. Dissapointing!!!

Double Din Delight

An absolute great buy. Easy to use touch screen controls for radio, cd's, dvd's and gps. GPS system is clear and accurate and the video used with the back up camera I purchased is fantastic, especially at night. USB is in the front, which just makes this an even better product. Save your money

I ordered and installed this radio to find out that the navigation was not an option without the factory SD card that I didn't receive with this receiver. Also the radio doesn't keep time. I have to reset it daily.

Love this

Bought this for our daughters Jetta, my husband was able to install this himself and it works great in her car. She loves it and we loved the price.
Plan on buying more for our other vehicles.

Great value

So far the only complaint I have is that I have not been able to get cd's that I burned on my computer to play on the cd player. I have not had a chance to see if maybe I set up the player wrong or burned the cd's wrong. The backup camera is great the phone volume comes in low I can hardly hear the other person and have to turn up the radio to hear them. This may also be a setup issue. all in all it is working great. Other radios with these features at B******* etc were all around 4 to $500.

A great radio but did not receive everything to do the install as promised

This radio is a great upgrade over my stock stereo. I really like the way that it mirrors the screen of my phone . Sound quality is pretty good and it has more than enough outputs so that I can add a subwoofer such in the future. When ordering you are told that you will receive all of the items needed to complete the install however an antenna adapter is not included and I had to purchase one from Walmart in order to install the radio. Other than that, I am pleased with my purchase

Good Deal for the price

I installed this in my 2010 f150, works great and looks awesome. Its nice it has all the features you would want for a low cost. navi, bluetooth work great. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
