Great High Quality Kit

I installed this in my 97 Buick Century to power an Alpine MRD-F752 4/1 Class-T amp. Just enough length to snake it down the center hump and through a hole in the firewall to the passenger side battery. Extremely flexible cable, pure OFC copper and the blue/white color scheme is very appealing. The only thing I would have liked would be a better grommet for the firewall. It's just two rubber rings with a lip. Not that big a deal as I had some better quality screw-in grommets left over from other builds, and at this price point I'm amazed there's any kind of grommet supplied. Overall, very pleased with this purchase and would recommend this kit for any 8-gauge needs.

Good Wires

The following review is for a previous version (SHK281).

Pros : Flexible, decent starter kit. Perfect for 500w RMS systems
Cons : No RCA cables, included terminals don't really work, but other than that, they are very decent wires.

Decent Kit

The following review is for a previous version (SHK281).

Good: Very flexible cable, accurate gauge. Quality finished terminals. Nice fuse holder.

Quibble: The black jacket at the beginning of the power run is not as practical as it might seem. It runs about 4-5' from battery side with a gap at 18" for the fuse. The jacket is braided nylon and held in place with shrink wrap, all good. But cutting jacket results in messy ends. In the end I removed it for my application.

Generally, learned 18 ft. of cable isn't enough to connect an amp located in the back on the passenger side of a station wagon.
