BUY THIS SUB

I have 2 of these powered by a Sundown SAE-1500d and I'm doing like a 145-150 from the trunk. Forget every other wonder you've looked at, these subs are wayyyy under rated. You could put 1500 to one daily. Search these on YouTube and wherever else. I'll never own any other brand, ever. I plan on upgrading to sundown x12's in the near future. If you buy anything Sundown you won't be disappointed I promise.

Unbelievable !!!

These newest version of Sundowns SA series subs are one of the the absolute best subwoofer on the market in the $200 range. I'm not sure why Sonic doesn't keep them in stock more often. I bought these to replace an old pair of Pioneer Champion Pro Premiers. I loved those old Pioneer Premiers, they were beasts!! But it was time for a change and the Sundown SA series really had some great reviews so I had to hear what all the rave was about. When I first got them, I did a direct replacement into the box that was built for my Pioneers. Immediately I noticed an increase in volume and clarity. I was shocked since they were in the wrong box and not broken in yet. After a couple weeks of break in, they just continued to get louder and lower. I just kept getting happier and happier. Finally I got a box that is almost right at Sundown specs, 2.5 cu ft per sub, tuned to 36 HZ. I am blown away every day that I turn on my stereo. They are everything I read about them and more.
As with all Sundown subs, they are well underrated. I have mine on 1200 watts RMS each. As long as the signal doesnt get clipped, they can take it all day long. Even after a 45 minute drive to work at high volume, they barely even get warm. But what I like most about them is how good they sound at high volume. They are a very musical sub. Even during the loudest bass note, you can still hear the kick drum. It thumps hard enough to stop your heart. They also perform very well in the SPL lanes if competitions are your thing. Sundown has perfected the 2.5" voice coil so that it performs better and dissipates heat better than other brands 3" coils. Put a pair of these in a ported box that's close to specs and power them with at least 1KW RMS each, and you'll be the envy of all your friends.
