This item is great!
Honestly when I first saw this thing I wasnt sure it would work for me, but I hooked it up and it surprised me how well it actually worked. since I purchased it I have made over 300 podcasts with it and I have a good response from listeners saying It sounds great. I tell them all the time how small my "setup" is and they reply with incredible praise. anyone who is into podcasts and wants to make their own should get this. Also if setup properly it can be used for live DJing of music at parties and events, I have done that a few times too. It was well worth it to get this thing!

Technical Pro becomes Technical Fail.
I read the only review on this item and was sold, after seeing the review I was quite sure I would get more bang for my buck.. well when I received it I plugged everything in, installed everything.. started up my mp3 player to test and what did I hear? nothing because the headphones did not work, which I tried on several different devices just to make sure it was't the device itself. Then while using the usb audio source as a mic on my computer I noticed a humming on the line, and once I turned on the microphone the humming was about 20db louder, I made sure to check and see if any boosters were enabled which they were not. Anyways I could have just gotten a defective item but I guess I'll never know.. until I get mine replaced.

good for the money
good for the money.. like the portability feature with the 9v... plan on upgrading your input cable as it is a cheapo. if you plan on the pm-22, you can buy 2 pm-21's and have a spare mixer, as i plan on doing!

Eh, not bad for what it is.
The mic sounds pretty dull. Not sure where the high frequency roll off is, but yeah. I gave the headphones to my girlfriend's 3-year-old, since I already had much higher-end ones. The mixer seems alright, but I haven't bothered using it since I always mix digitally in my DAW. Audacity is great, for a free DAW, but you don't need to buy this pack to get it. You can simply Google it and find it for download on their site.
Honestly, the most impressive part of this pack is the setup guide. It shows you step-by-step how to get a podcast up and running, right down to registration with a free podcasting website. Despite my not using any of the components, I am thankful to have been directed to that site, since it's been where I've hosted my podcast for the past 6 months.
Frankly, podcasting doesn't require outstanding quality components. For what it is, it's a nice little pack. I just prefer to produce my podcast with better components than those offered here because I'm a trained audio engineer, though I'd probably recommend this to anyone as a great entry-level kit.
