not bad

My first thought after opening the box is WOW.... They just seem really well made. Speakers have some weight to them, the magnet is a nice size. The supplied wire is flat and OFC. However the design for the crossover seriously needs to be rethought. It is just a pain to install in a door panel. this is do mainly to the fact that the cover over the terminals and everything is pretty tricky to get back on. They sound great, pretty loud and I do think the tweets are pretty bright. I have them running at -3 dbs but I do agree with a previous review that with a tuning will take care of that. The mid bass response is pretty impressive. Overall I think it's a great speaker for a good value. Just plan it and play with those crossovers for a while.

very well built

My only problem with them is the tweeters seem to shut down when played loudly. As soon as you turn the volume down, they seem to fade back in to playing again. Anyone know why?

Good speaker for the price.

Not bad of a deal for the good sound quality. The crossover design could be refined- a little smaller.

Not the best far as loudness. But the quality is amazing none the less. The speakers were put in my 4x4in rig and they can handle being totally submerged in water. Cause that is exactly what happened. I drove into a lake and the water was above my speakers and on my lap. Speakers worked and still are working. Amazing.

Excellent Quality for the Price

these 5 1/4" components sound great and handle the rms power. well worth the cost an compare to others that cost twice as much. I have had these for like 8 months now an they still sound great. wish I can still find more vibe speakers ; (

Quality Product and under valued in the States

With proper tuning the vibe audio components will please even the discerning SQ listener. I belong to one of the foremost spl teams on the West coast and vibe is one of those hidden secrets we run. One of the previous reviewers commented as to the brightness of the tweets which is far from the truth. With proper adjustment of the cross over and the deck settings these will come alive and sound good doing it. I own 4 sets of these comps, and another teammate runs 3 sets in his doors alone. Not to mention yet another who is running a single set in his doors.
