Maybe I got a bad one?
This thing blew within 2 hours of install. It was being pushed by a Kicker ZX500.1 sub amp rated at 250 watts RMS, well within this subs 350 watt RMS rating. This sub claims to be CEA 2006 compliant, so there is no reason for it to have blown. The gain on the amp was set to 1/3, the bass boost at 1/2, and crossover freq set to 80 Hz. The volume on the stereo was never turned up past 20 either, about 1/3 of the available volume.
Took a chance on a brand I had never used with very few reviews. It sounded great right up until it blew though.
