I bought these for an SQ 3 way setup for this years competition season. All I can say right now is that the build quality is far above what I expected. We will see this summer which is better active or passive crossovers.

my new favorite car audio company

I bought this set for a system I was building for someone else. I have used most of the major brands in different systems, and I have never heard clarity and power like this from anything in the same pricepoint. I actually bought a set for my personal vehicle, along with 2 vibe black death 6x9s and 2 black death 15s. Both subs are running black death amps and the interior speakers are running off of space series amps. The sound is ridiculous. I also hear things in my music that I never heard before. I would recommend vibe to anyone that wants amazing sound. The price is pretty awesome too.

worth every penny and more

This set of speakers is awsome ... I got an set and installed them in my 1990 750IL ... hands down the best $200 I have spent .... the woofer delivers rock solid mid bass. The tweeter is an ring radiator type [which can also be found on the polk rt $750.00 set] It delivers crisp clean true highs and the mid range can have the tweeter stacked on top and delivers an true 360 sound stage ... the whole set up is very well built. Do your self an favor buy them . These speakers will compete with systems costing $750 or more .. I only gave these an rating of 4 in ease of use due to the fact they r an 3way witch means two extra wires to be run and the fact you will have to cut out an hole for the mid range and tweeters but its whell worth the extra work . i got lucky and the mid/tweeters fit in to the stock dash mid locations in my 750il ..

These speakers sound absolutely amazing when i hooked them up with the recommended vibe blackdeath 4 ch amp... these speakers are def 5 out of 5.

Sound Pretty Good, but not perfect

First off, I expected more. I'm coming from the Kicker DS650, and while these are better, coming from $50 to $200 speakers, I wanted more. They sound a bit flat to me. The are, however, better than the Kickers when I compared them directly. They are less harsh and have a better bass response. They're a bit less harsh. They are also very solidly made. These are heavy speakers and well constructed. I do find the design a bit clumsy. The tweeter is too big and the midrange too small. It made for awkward mounting, which I'll probably have to fix with some bondo or something to cover the holes I had to drill. The look's a bit much too: machined and a rough sparkly gray material; it's weird. Overall, they are good speakers, but could be redesigned to be more functional and they need an aesthetic overall.

Excellent design and set-up. Takes some thinking on placement, but once figured sound killer!!

Why did I sell these

These were the most convenient set of 3 way components I have ever owned. And I sold them. Foolish
