Valor installed in 2000 s80 volvo.

This is an excellent unit, my installation is only a couple of weeks old but
so far it is working well and I love it. I have had only one problem, on a very hot day everything seem to freeze, but work ok after a few mins, will see if it does it again. Love it.

You'll be surprized.

Ok. I've owned this product for about a week now. I created this review because quite frankly there aren't any about this product.
Although I haven't had it long; I've spent long hours with the unit blitzing it with every sort of test and situational recreations I could think of. My first impressions I will say completely surprized me. I was looking for a low cost double din unit for my 02 Maxima and didn't want to spend a lot of money and didn't want to sacrifice on features either. I believe this product gave me exactly what I was looking for and more.

Pros:

Device will play every kind of audio format and video format available just about. I've played everything from burned cds in .wma format to burned movies in .avi format and the video and audio was crisp and clear.

Video was extremely vivid and not a hitch or hiccup in play back.

SD card play back was flawless and it (to my surprize) even displayed the picture files I had stored on the card in a slideshow style.

SD card navigation was easy and it will display music folders for easy sorting - *no folder creation or file transferring from the SD menu however - a slight CON.. but livable. Also only a 2GB max memory card compatibility. Will support playlists if you create them from your pc and save them on the card.

Navigation was smooth and TeleAtlas was extremely accurate.

DVD playback and Audio playback during Navigation was smooth and accurate.

Power on the device was great. Low noise level during high volume playback.

Install was a breeze.

USB input work like a charm.

Rear back up cam available..

Cons:

you have to purchase a bluetooth module separate. (wasn't really big deal with me though)

Unit arrived with one of the the preamp outputs defective. I'm not running extra amps so this didn't affect me and didn't want to go through the hassle of during an RMA so I just used the front output to supply all speakers...my bose factory amp pushes the speakers well and it was flawless even though I've lost my fade ability with only one output functioning..

Load time from startup I clocked at about 30 secs. Doesn't seem like long but becomes a little bit of an annoyance over time.

2GB Max SD card size limit. (common guys..seriously 2GBs?)

Navigation system failed to start - popping out SD card which contains the Navi software and popping it back in corrected this.. very minor but worth mentioning.

Internal cooling fan a little loud - not much, but can be heard when you're sitting in park with the car engine cut and acc turned on -small issue though


Summary.

This Head Unit is powerful and packed with features. Unit looks good when installed and playback and power exceeds that of more expensive units. Video is drop dead gorgeous... excellent...far exceeded my expectations. Plays all audio and video formats - more than most expensive units will.. (compare: Pioneer Avic 900BT). I recommend the extended warranty however.. again my rear output was DOA. If you're looking for the best bang for buck this is it.. I recommend this device highly. *with extended warranty
