I really love my viper 2 way remote start alarm. All my friends want one now and my mom and dad had to get one for their cars.

Good peace of mind.

Great alarm. Easy to use. Simple install. Good distance on the remote. But the battery dies kinda fast. Every 6mo or so. Not a big deal like 5 bucks at autozone. Worth the piece of mind. I feel a lot safer now with this thing installed on my 95 Honda Civic. Installed it myself wasn't hard at all, if you can do a radio then I would say you can do this. Thanks sonic for the great deal and fast shipping! I love making purchases through this site!

Viper remote start!!

Sooo sickk! I use it everyday and it draws a lot of attention especially because my flowmaster is way loud so when it starts remotely it sounds sick from the outside..oh and the flashing blue light for when its locked definitely keeps thefts away!

Good product with a good price

The Viper 5701 is a very great product but not really easy to install and program. It's the perfect product if you're looking for a Viper car alarm and remote start, it has all advantages and conveniences and more than you can want for your car.

NOT SO GREAT

I got this alarm today and i have bought quite a few refurbished things and never had anything look quite as bad as the remotes do,the symbols on the remote were rubbed half way off and the remotes were all chipped up!!

Good value

Install took the better part of a day, not bad at all with a basic understanding of electronics and a bit of research. Product works very well, the remote battery life is only a few months however.

viper alarm

Product was at best alright. The remote hardely works anymorr. About 50% of the time even after new batteries. When it does work the remote doesnt make noise like it should. For the price of all this it should work much better

Good Buy

The Viper 5701 remote start system works great. The only thing that I did not like was that the controller has no locking feature which gives it the ability to lock or unlock, start or kill your vehicle and so on. That is the only problem I have had with it. I have it installed in a 1999 Ford Econoline and there are many functions that I did not use because of the simplicity of that vehicle.

Good Buy

Bought this to replace my Viper 5900 alarm.

Pros.. Two remotes. Better remote battery. Almost a direct swap with the 5900 wiring harness. Good range. Lots of functions on the remote. Lots of Aux functions.

Cons. No LCD remote. (I can never tell why the alarm is going off now. I just see a bunch of flashing lights on the remote) Remote has too many key combinations to remember.

Viper 5701

I basically bought this alarm for the remote start feature, and I have had no problems. I had a Viper alarm on my previous car, and am somewhat partial to Viper alarms due to their ease of use and features. This product was just as I expected and worked as advertised.......

i recommand this Viper alarm cause its more bang for your buck$!! cant go wrong with saving money in this days of economy... and arming you vehicle with all these crazy thieves wanting to steal everything you've spent all your hard earned money on... not bad for refurb!!!! Viper has never let me down.

think about it

Viper alarms are awesome and have many features and functions. Not for somebody that don't have the brain capacity to understand, install correctly and use properly. You must have the knowledge as to where all the wires connect. A vehicle specific wiring diagram/schematic is a must! I love it but, I had to get all the info gathered up from several different places first. Which was not easy or fast.

viper 5701 is a great unit,,,

great starter/alarm with more functions most would use...remotes seem to go thru batteries a little fast...buttons can be difficult to press when dark as they are indented into the remotes...

Great product at an excellent price

The alarm arrived very quick after ordering. I used the CHALL module for my 2010 Ram and was able to get everything installed and programmed in a little over an hour. I would highly recommend to anyone. The only thing worth noting is that you don't get the original box or the Viper stickers with the refurb unit, but those wouldn't have gone on the truck anyways.

viper car alarm

The product worked fine for 4 months, then as i was driving down the road the siren wigged out and would not turn off. I had to disconnect the siren and all i have now is just a keyless entry. The remote start also was a fail. Never worked and still does not work.
