Great Product

The amp meter I purchased was an great buy for very little cost. I have it hooked up to my stereo system and the blue led light on it is awesome for show. It works good and gets the job done. I would recommend it to all and will use more in the future.

Good value for the money

I bought two of these meters to monitor the voltage on my boat batteries. While they do flicker a little especially when the charger is on they work very well. They are also quite bright. They act as our night light. I do plan to put them on a switch eventually but see no need right now.

Great to Monitor Solar Voltage at Controller

I bought this Voltage Meter to monitor Solar voltage after the controller. Works perfectly. I know at a glance what the controller is doing.

Great product, great price

Just finished putting together my electrical in my '01 Corolla, the last part being this meter since my car doesn't come with one in the gauge cluster. This is an awesome little meter, very small footprint so it can be placed literally anywhere. No drilling, no screwing, simply snaps into place (though modifications may be needed to place in the actual dash). Installation took literally all of about 5 minutes and was VERY easy. Splice the red wire into switched +12V power, splice the ground into... Well, a common ground. Mine is wired to my head unit.

There is only one downside. It fluctuates a lot, but only when other electronics are being used and drawing AC current. If left alone, it will find a resting point. One of the other reviews said it has an auto turn-off in which it does, but the positive wire MUST be wired into a source of switched +12V power. Otherwise it will remain on. My guess as to the fluctuation problem would be to extend the wires and run it directly off the battery, it sat at a stable 12.6V for as long as I held it on there.

All in all, it does exactly what I needed it to do, and looks good doing it. Very affordable! Sonic has always hooked me up and you can bet I will come back for all my audio needs. Thanks Sonic!

i just installed in my 96 Caprice and part of the last number does not work, not very happy about that, maybe the one i got was just a defect, but other then that it is a nice looking volt meter, i will try the stinger brand next time.

Nice meter for price but All features don't work

Nice meter. Looks great and is very accurate. However it says its supposed to have an auto turn off, and it does not turn off. So it stays on all the time. Aside from that it's nice.

Not that solid

I bought this to monitor my voltage on a 3000 watt system I put in my jeep along with extra batteries. This meter is accurate but flashy ex. between 14.2-14.3 it'll flicker between the two. It gives a good idea but not something I would show off such as an SMD meter

I ordered 3 of these..

I ordered 3 of these, and when I got them I hooked them up right away using them to keep an eye on my voltage for all my amplifiers. I was impressed with the accuracy, as it changed rapidly example 13.8, 13.9, 13.8.

Although within a few weeks the plastic plexi-cover on all 3 of mine have gotten warped and fallen off.

Pros: Accurate, Bright, and Looks great!
Cons: Within time the plexi-cover may become warped and fall off. Also these will always be on unless you run it through a switch as it is just a positive and negative wire, no remote wire to have it turn on\off.

could be better..

Works just fine, like it should, looks great, the ONLY downside is that it didnt last through its first summer, which is what i expected for it being made of all plastic. The heat just warped the front cover off, and the casing warped horribly. LEDs still worked and flat, but took it out anyways. ill be looking to find a better one or fabricate a way.

i would definitely recommend this product to a friend,..i just hooked it up in my 97 s10 blazer. ive got two 15s with a 1600.2 amp. the amp is running off of a battery cap which has a voltage meter on the top of it,..however its located in the back by the subs. does me no good for being able to see what it reads,..so i connected this xscorpion dvm23bb voltage meter to it and installed it in my center console,...works just the way its suppose to! not a single complaint here, thats for sure!

Fair for the price

I installed this to run to my dash and my voltage would always read 14.x, even if the system was not even playing. It would just flicker and jitter.

I figured that perhaps the length of wire I added to run this meter was causing it to go bonkers, so I hooked it up right next to the battery to have the same results.

It will read your voltage accurately, but it can't stay stable at 14.1-7 for one second. I find that very annoying and actually distracting when driving, just because the rate that the number changes. For something more stable, I would go with the Stinger one.

I't does what it's supposed to do. Though it does a poor job of smoothing the reading out. It constantly jittlers back and fourth between two values which is kind of annoying and distracting. But overall it's decent.

works good for my application. comes on with ignition but I wired it to a switch cause it's bright as hell at night and it might last longer if it's not on all the time my cars on. so all pros no cons

Awesome Volt meter

I had a big audio system installed in my Monte Carlo SS. I have blue LEDs in the gauge cluster and I flushed this gauge in the dash and it matched perfectly. Looks good at night and the gauge did a good job

Works so far!

I see a lot of people say they've had problems, and my voltage reading has cut out at times but that's only if the power is spammed on and off, once it goes out I let it sit on for a few seconds, then turn it off, and back on slowly, and the voltage comes right back.
