Great product.. Used to change 6 x 9 opening to a 6.5 coax rear fill. More importantly, Sonic support is awesome. Very polite and helpful guys, I would recommend this company or their products to anyone.

Works

These worked great for using 6.5" in place of 6 x 9's. I haven't had any issues with them flexing.

Good quality material

I ordered a set of these adapter plates to convert front door 6X9 speakers in a 2010 Dodge Caliber to 5 1/4 components. The plates were of good quality material and fit with very little trimming around a couple of edges. They worked for me.

I needed to fit a shallow speaker into a factory cutout for a 6x9....a very shallow 6x9. I couldn't find a decent 6x9 shallower enough so i decided to Getty a pair of these adapters and use really good 6.5" speakers instead. I chose these adapters because the main hole forfor the speaker is perfectly centered. I wasn't installing component speakers so this fit the bill.

Nice quality just will not fit my Rockford Fosgate T2s no matter what I try. Will be returning but this set is great quality, very study.

Gets the job done

Pretty good product. Does what it's supposed to do. Thick so it's a little hard to break which is good.

I used these in my Mazda 3 (2011) and only had to do minor trim work. I replaced the factory speakers with 5 1/14" in the front and back and was very happy with this product. They are very well built.

I purchased these brackets to install a Pair of old school MB Quart 6.5" QM 218.61 Q Series component speakers into the front doors of my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and they did not work. The quote "6.5 inch" opening for the aftermarket speaker fit wasn't event close to the actual diameter of my speakers. I ended up trashing these and building custom mounts.

Look at the specs.

I bought these to install component speakers in my doors. The adapter fit nicely on the door. Looked sturdy & easy install. Problem was that the speaker didn't fit. I thought buying a 6.5" speaker would fit a 6x8 to 6.5" adapter. I was wrong, apparently the cut out is a certain size. Your speakers spider needs to be the same size to slip in. Mine was t, I needed up making my own. I didn't bother calling sonic for a refund since it's easier for me to throw them away & make my own.

Cheap and did the job!

Not the perfect fit I was looking for for my f150. Had to dremmel the living heck out of them to get them to fit. For the price, ($7 a pair), I can't complain. Just wish they made a set of adapters that just fit right on without having to casturize them!!

Didn't fit exactly

I had to use an angle grinder to allow my 6.5" woofer's spiders to clear. The material itself is pretty heavy duty plastic though so that's good. IMO, it would be better to make your own custom adapters from MDF - this will improve sound quality. If you just want to adapt from 6x9 to 6.5" and aren't too worried about sound quality, this will work depending on speaker.

Use at your own risk of needing to grind.

Well built but too small

I wouldnt recommend this adaptor for use with Rockford Fosgate Prime 6.5" speakers. The opening on the adapter was too small for the basket to fit through. Completely useless product to me. I bought them to save time by not cutting rings but I will have to modify them anyway.
