i recently purchased these speakers with a matching amp, the amp didnt work so i dug up an old amp with the same ratings and plugged it in. these speaker sound nice when amplified, but not very durable. the woofer is partially blown on the right side, which is kind of disappointing. not a bad speaker for starters though!!!

I would recommend the 652x to anyone that\'s looking to upgrade the stock speaker and doesn\'t want to go all out on money for bigger brands...but when i purchased and heard these components WOW...i was shocked and amazed....finally not too long ago just blew one of the speakers but other than that its been 4 years since i had these components and i\'m looking forward to upgrade my system completely..not cause the speaker blew...i have three still going on strong and hard not to mention i don\'t even have a amplifier connect to them yet so image what i could really be doing...but I give 5 stars and thumbs up to direct electronics for coming up with these components....don\'t believe me check them out for yourself and prove me wrong...oh i gave look/design a 4 the new covers are ugly my was all black screen..but i never used them.
