Capacitors are rated in farads, and at times microfarads or millionths of a farad. The more farads the capacitor is rated at, the more electrical charge (and wattage) the capacitor will hold. Capacitance is defined as the property of storing an electrical charge between two separate conductors.

For example, a 4 gauge wire is thicker than an 8 gauge wire and thus has higher current carrying capacity. Always do your best to get this size wire to reduce the risk of damage to your components.
Maximum Output Gauge Size
This number refers to the maximum size of wire that will fit into the output connector(s) of the capacitor, battery terminal, or any other connector with an wire output.
