2013 RAV4 XLE without JBL
After figuring out that some of the items included in the package are not needed for my XLE without and having to cut off the RCAs for two channels I discovered that my early build 2013 RAV4 has a 16-pin connector for the OEM Toyota backup camera and this harness comes with a 20-pin.
I spoke with an iDatalink tech support rep who was very nice amd helpful. I found out that I would need to splice wires to get it to work which I did not want to do it as nothing showed or said anything about needing to splice wires for 2013 which is why I wanted to get the iDatalink setup. So, I returned it and I'm going a different route with a different head unit than a normal double DIN.
iDatalink's main issue is their documentation, it's kind of lazy how they've provided it. The site looks interesting but it's like they ran out of time for the logical part of the site. Also, you need a PC with 32bit Internet Explorer 11 running on it to flash the firmware on the Maesteo RR device to even use it. I tried on two Windows 10 PCs and the plug-in wouldn't install, kept saying I needed at least .NET 2.0 installed. I was able to use an old laptop with Windows 7 on it to work.
