Excellent product - very easy to install

Honestly - I was apprehensive about doing this; even after I'd reviewed the instructions... how could it be that simple - really. So one evening I booked off 3 hours from the family and went out to the garage to put this in.

To my surprise, I was done in about 15 minutes. This is simply a plug & play device that plugs into the CD changer cable (already a part of the MCS but usually not used) in the trunk area and it powers up the connection and has the iPod plug attached. Run the cables where you want them and you're done!

It doesn't display track names but I wasn't expecting that anyways. I do believe newer MC's have that functionality built in - if it's important to you then check it out.

For me - this was an inexpensive solution. Money well spent!

good enough

this is the 3rd unit I've had shipped. The 1st didn't allow for track skipping from the radio or steering wheel. The 2nd disabled my entire radio system. The 3rd and last is exactly like the 1st, but I've decided to sacrifice the track skipping since I'm tired of returning the units and have no faith that it will work on future units. I've mounted the iPod near the steering wheel so it shouldn't be a big deal, but it's disappointing that it doesn't function as it should.

Works well and easy install

I've had this kit installed in my X5 for almost 6 months now and it hasn't given me any issues. Works with my ipods and iphones, and allows me to control either with the steering wheel controls. The only issue I've had is that the readout on the factory radio will not provide song info, etc., so you will need to still keep your ipod or iphone handy if you need to look for something specific. Installation was simply plugging the factory system into the kit. The hardest part was bringing the cable from the trunk area to the driver's side, but that wasn't very difficult either, just pulling off panels and putting them back.

This product works exactly as advertised and is fairly simple and straightforward to install. The sound is perfect and I recommend it. The steering wheel controls work to change volume and song title. Excellent product. Thanks for making it. Price is right too.

This is a fantastic product! I looked all around for an interface to my iPhone4 which has high-quality audio, and give me control over the track functions from my steering wheel controls. It is a great value, and was easy to install in my BMW 330i. It has been working flawlessly for about 3 months, and was a great purchase. It does everything I need, I can't think of anything to improve the functionality or design.
