This Kicker 10CVR82 8" woofer is the perfect solution when looking to add just a little bass to your car audio system. With 200 watts RMS you will get enough bass to bring out the best in your music but not so much that it will begin to hurt your ears. Even at 200W RMS this woofer will produce tight, precise, high quality bass that will make you question why you went so long with out the rich deep sound of a Kicker CompVR woofer.
Have you ever heard the saying " If it is not broken don't fix it"? Well this doesn't mean you can't improve it and nothing could be more true for the new 2010 CompVR subwoofer series from Kicker. This day in age it seems that the color black symbolizes elegance, sleekness, and quality. Kicker took the new trend of today into account when they upgraded their already popular CVR series subwoofers. Their new black, injection molded SoloKon woofer cone not only sounds better than the previous model but looks clean and elegant and will fit with any vehicle interior. Another major upgrade for this years model is the re-designed basket structure. With a new basket structure the woofer will have better stability and linear motion control, making the woofer much more efficient and thus produce higher quality sound. The new 2010 Kicker CompVR woofers were built with a lot of the same technologies used on Kicker's Solo-Baric L7 woofer which means you are getting high quality sound at a fraction of the cost. With a double stitched surround and T-cut top plate, for better bass response, and many other features that have made the CompVR a solid woofer for years and years, it is time to get out with the old and in with the new.

Great little sub!
I had one of those subs in my hatchback and I was running it only from a 70 rms (150 peak) watt amp. It sounded great and would hit hard at a low frequency, as if it was a 10" sub. But to realize it's full potential I needed a bigger amp. I had it for about a year and then it got stolen!
So I bought one from 2007 model (this is 2005 model, same sub in a different box) and I bought a stronger amp to go with it (power acoustik, 180 rms, 420 peak watts) and it sounds AMAZING! It hits hard for its size and I dont even need to turn the amp all way up. Right now I am pushing about 120-140 rms watts to it and it shakes everything inside the car.
Just one of these is more than plenty, I dont even need a pair (as I was originally planning)

These things Have RANGE
I would have to say that the price of these subwoofers and the size of them makes them great, I now have four of them in a 1994 Honda Accord in a 4cubic feet sealed box hooked up to a Rockford Fosgate P2000.2 amplifier and when I turn the volume to 2/3 of the way I cant hear anything , The only downfall is that they don't hit the deep Bass notes the best but they do have plenty of range
