Did not end up using adapter in my installation
As the title says, i did not end up using this adapter during my installation of my new head unit, which replaced my original, but having said that, have used it in the past on different car applications, and works prefectly by making male end female, and making female end male, enabling the connection to be made from car antenna to aftermarket without a problem.

Pretty straight forward. Plug this into the deck. Plug the antenna into the other end -- that's it. Bob's your uncle. Easy as falling down a well but not half as dangerous.

this antenna adapter is great it is very small and make install a breeze since there is no extra wire to find a place for, since in some vw/audis there is not a lot of room behind the radio.
