The Backstopper CA-5010.II is a rear impact warning sensor system designed to aid the driver when backing up their vehicle. The system includes a color LED digital display with a four-sensor direction indicator mode and four ultra-sonic sensors with "quick disconnect" waterproof connectors.
The colorful LED digital display has a built-in buzzer for visual and audible warning. The display also has a four-sensor direction indicator which allows the driver to see which sensor is being set off the most. This allows you to know exactly where the obstruction is behind the vehicle. The design is a top-dash mount design which makes the display easy to mount in several locations such as the top of the dash board, inside a pocket or on top of the rear view mirror.
The CA-5010.II can be retrofitted with optional metal bumper sensors for any trucks that have metal or chrome plated bumpers. The optional sensors can help the unit to avoid false-alerting the driver on vehicle with metal bumpers.The CA-5010.II also has built-in intelligent warning and detection to allow the system to be compatible with vehicles that are equipped with tow-hitches, spare tire racks or other protrusions on the rear of the vehicle. The intelligent detection can be calibrated to learn where these protrusions are on the bumper and will not send false-alerts to the driver when the vehicle is in reverse.
The sensors wide detection angle will alert the driver of any small children, pedestrians, animals or small unseen objects such as bicycles or parking poles. This makes it very convenient for parking in a parking garage, a crowded lot or even in your own driveway.

I ordered and installed this product on a customers vehicle. Installation was easy and product worked exactly as it was described. I am considering promoting and selling this in my shop in Plant City, Florida. Customer was completely satisfied as well as me.

Worth the money.
Easy install, and works as described. The hardest part is running the cable into the cab for the monitor. Also, plastic bumper covers are a must. I can;t imagine installing the sensors on a chrome / metal bumper.

These units were purchased to provide backup sensors for company vehicles. This is a safety feature that works great and is easy to install. We are very pleased with the product and would recommend it to anyone.

Bumper sensors
These are a great product but I have some recommendations. In a vehicle such as an SUV or a minivan the length of the wires from the sensors does not allow the control box to be installed under the dashboard forcing it to a location under one of the front seats. Not always easy to attach it under a seat. The core drill is not sufficient to go through the metal on some bumpers.
The metal part of a bumper behind the plastic face has holes at intervals and for the best installation the plastic face should be taken off then it can be determined where the holes have to be drilled. Al alternative is to go to a scrap yard and look at a similar bumper and take dimensions which will allow the holes to be drilled.
A long thin stick or an "electricians wand" are very good at threading wire under the carpet. Should avoid trying to take the wire under the car. With my Dodge Grand Caravan it took two of us about two hours to install the system after which it worked perfectly. Well worth the work.

Well made and high quality system
Great performance for such low price. HIGH quality sensors with quick change connectors. Adjustable sensor sensitivity. 4 color display. Great product and easy installation.

Haven't install them yet but built quality looks good hopefully it works the way I need it to work well update again once install
