Good, but I question the default OPAMP

As far as CMoys go, this one is a pretty good design with good components. I'm not a fan of any bass boost (I prefer neutral) but it has a switch, so I just leave it off and it's no big deal. It's still a great CMoy design regardless. I do question the use of the OPA2227 as the OPAMP that it comes with (I've always felt like it had a pretty bad sound and, ironically, not so great at bass either) but it has a socket so you can put in whatever you want (and I was going to change it anyway since I love the AD8620 the most of all personally.) I think it would be better if it came with the more well-rounded OPA2132 (which is more or less accepted as the "default" OPAMP for CMoys normally) but in my case it's no big deal -- just not everyone necessarily knows about OPAMP rolling and might not think to change it.

The pricetag definitely hurts, but it does seem to be using a good design and quality components and there aren't many better sounding designs you can find for cheaper (in fact, the alternative I was using has disappeared from the market everywhere.) There's even some sort of bipolar transistor (or something which certainly looks like one) which I'm wondering if maybe is there to help protect from reversed polarities (the bane of my existence I swear) but I don't really know enough about them to know for certain and I'm definitely not about to test. (Most CMoy designs fry more or less every component if you accidentally reverse polarity even for just a moment, so I'm not going to test, lol.)

The item is of great value! It has a powerful bass that is great for watching movie. It produce great sound with Beats Solo headphone.
