These Head phones!

The head phones were good at first, then they broke randomly about two weeks of use. I then ordered two more pairs, and the same thing happened to both, i was very unhappy with these head phones.

Great earbuds

I use these for my notebook and even fall a sleep and they keep on working. before this I used headphones and they were very uncomfortable. With the JVC's I can lay on my side and don't even feel them in.

A Good Buy

Normally I own a product for a year or more before reviewing it, but I wanted to put my initial impressions out there and I can edit my review for long term quality later if needed. I've used JVC HA-FX34 ear buds for years because of the comfort and sound quality, but they start to fall out all the time when I run and drip sweat. I bought the JVC HA-EBX5 ear buds because they were the only ear buds I could find that are over the ear so they stay put while running and that have soft, in-ear pieces rather than hard plastic speakers. Well, they are the only ones with those features that cost less than $30. I just can't bring myself to spend more on ear buds than I paid for my full-size headphones.

The sound quality of these ear buds isn't stellar - they're not even as good as the old JVCs I'm used to - but they're not bad. I've definitely heard worse. And it doesn't matter much with the sound of the treadmill and heavy foot falls mixed in. That is the only reason I rate them 4 out of 5. I can't really comment on the durability as I've only owned them for a few weeks, but the website is making me choose a rating, so I'm neutral.

In sum, these are great for running, sit ups or any other exercise where you might sweat and move around. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The sound quality is decent. I plan to buy a second pair as backup.
