The IE 60 is part of the Sennheiser In-Ear Monitor Series, that also includes the notorious, and reputable Sennheiser IE 80 (IE80). The Sennheiser IE 60 and IE 80 are topic of many conversations within the audiophile community, primarily because of their incredible performance. While many features and dollars separate the two, one thing is consistent. Delivery! The performance is breathtaking. The ability to achieve so much sound out of so little speaker is impressive. More specifically, the bass. Its hard to believe that small in-ear monitor can replicate such powerful, deep bass, but you might just have to hear it for yourself to believe it!

Simply the Best
I tried every set of in earbuds CNET claimed limited outside noise and they all failed miserably. I wondered if they conducted their tests in a library after it was closed. The IE 60 delivers remarkably clear sound (better than the 3 driver Westone). Even walking on a busy city street IE 60 blocked enough noise to enjoy the music, but still allowed enough through for safety. I wondered about the passive loop over the ear system, but it works without the supplied rigid over the ear forms provided. Only complaint is the carrying case is too structured. But the case Beyerdynamics provided with their earbuds (another product which did not live up to its CNET review) works perfectly.
