Great protection!
I have a shallow mounted RF Punch P3D4-12 sub in a truck box which sits under the seat of my GMC Sierra Crew Cab.
The seat sits right on top of the speaker so to protect it from damage and to allow for some room between the speaker and the seat, I got this grille.
The grille sits snug on the speaker and does just what it's designed to do.
