In 1968, Infinity Systems was founded as an official manufacturer of loudspeakers. In 1983, that successful loudspeaker company joined the Harman International Industries group to further enhance their loudspeaker technology and bring affordable, yet great sounding, to those seeking the finest speakers. Today, Infinity has grown to be a popular and trusted name in both car audio and home audio. When a product is branded with that Infinity logo, it can be trusted to produce only the finest quality of professional grade sound. The company has grown from manufacturing only loudspeakers, to designing and engineering car speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers, marine speakers, as well as home speakers and subwoofers. Infinity technology is a leader in the car audio industry and the proof of this is found in their speakers, subwoofers, and amplifiers. Most notable for Infinity is their line of Kappa speakers, Kappa amplifiers, Basslink enclosed subwoofer systems, and Perfect series subwoofers. Subwoofer technologies, such as the SSI (Selectable Smart Impedance) and removable pole-pieces have separated them from the rest of the industry. They offer an audiophile solution to enhancing the sound in any car, truck, SUV, boat, or home. Sonic Electronix, one of the leaders in car audio, recently visited Harman, the premium global audio and infotainment group, at their research and development locations in Northridge, California and Detroit, Michigan. The purpose of these visits was to utilize and combine the powerful brand of Harman and the industry leading knowledge behind Sonic Electronix to begin working together on developing future car audio projects.
