Excellent Speaker

I bought these along with the 528's as re-placements for my MTC...Because they are 2 OHM they effectively double the power of my head unit which is stock....( and cannot be re-placed )....I have gone to full volume with these without them distorting , which I find amazing.

Exceeding my expectations

I dropped four of these into my 2009 328i - couldn't believe how bad the stock speakers were. Amazingly bad.

I have always been impressed with JBL speakers and thought at this
price, I would give them a try. Best $100 I have spent in a long time. I can even play the system at the maximum volume w/o any distortion. That is more a function of the head unit / amp, but either way I am sure the speakers will last a long time because of this compatibility.

I did have to get a little creative with mounting, but nothing I wouldn't do again.

JBL GTO Speakers

I own a 2010 BMW E90, great car but the BMW Professional sound system is awful, especially the rear deck 4 inch factory woofers (BMW bean counters took out all the tweeters and the amp on this car in 2010). One of my factory rears was crackling, and degrading the sound to the point where I couldn't stand listening. Rather than have BMW (under warranty) replace the poor factory speakers with new poor factory speakers, I selected the JBL's because they are 2 ohm (like my OE), and coaxial. They arrived fast, looked very well made, and installed easily (when I took out the OE, both sides had the magnet and voice coil separating from the plastic cage). The JBL's sound great, clear high's and mids (even though the head unit sends high pass signal only to rear). The whole car sounds "acceptable" now thanks to the rears being better. Cant wait to work on the fronts speakers next, but this fix gives me time to do it right.

Great speakers louder than others bench tested, including MTX and BOSS.

No hardware...screws or clips...spent 3 days trying to find some...good thing is the speakers are excellent...Grilles are overstated...

Working Great

I got these because I needed some 2 ohm speakers to replace some broken bose speakers. They are working great. Sound better than the $440 bose replacements the audi dealer wanted me to buy. It would have been nice if they had made another 4 attachment tabs around the edges to better match my asymmetric audi door mounts but that's not realistic.

First JBL product I've personally used I was very satisfied with the clarity from such a small 4 inch speaker I would suggest buying these if your in the market for such a speaker
