This unit uses DC Offset to trigger the Blue wire. Ensure the LOC has a solid 12V (Red) and Ground (Black) connection. If it won't wake the amp, turn the radio to 25% volume to ensure the LOC "senses" the turn-on signal.
The XMICROLOC4 features a 6:1 step-down with individual gain dials. Start with the dials at 25%. Slowly increase until the audio is loud and clear. If you hear distortion, back the dials off to keep the signal within your amp’s safe input range.
Yes, but avoid mounting it directly beside the ECU or large power cables. These can create electromagnetic interference (EMI) that may introduce noise into the audio signal. Mount it away from high-current wiring when possible.
