Awesome little sub

I wasn't expecting much from this sub/amp combo but it blew my mind once I got it installed. It hits really hard for what it is. Much better sounding than a bazooka tube. It's nice and small and fits perfectly in the trunk of my RX-8. The wired bass knob is also a nice touch.

This is the ONE

So it all started with my wife and her Sequoia. She just wanted more bass. Not 17 year old kid boom bass, but something significant without sacrificing her cargo/grocery room. The idea of a big enclosure was out of the question, and I wasn't crazy about the idea of wiring in an amp and finding a hiding place for it. So began the quest for a all-in-one bass box. I wasted my gas checking out the local stores listening to the anemic pyle, infinity, and a couple of others. Both 8" and 10" versions. The word anemic would be accurate. I can tell you from previous employment experience that the Infinity amps we saw weren't stellar in reliability. Then I heard the Rockford Fosgate amplified 10" at a local car show.
SWEET MUSCULAR JESUS !!!!!! A 10" woofer with the stiffness of a radial tire sidewall that vibrated my chest from 12 feet away!!!! I looked for some other "hidden" sub that this guy may have had, but none. All he told me was that it had a bulletproof 300 watt amp and this stiff sub, but lord did it pump. He paid $329 locally.
I WAS SOLD. I can only imagine what the larger 12" version could do!
After a quick internet search, as usual, sonic electronix was the cheapest. (I have order here before). $199 and free shipping.
And the part my wife loves is the dash mounted bass level knob. She can't take much past 5, but you feel it in your torso. Put it on 7, crank your head unit to 2/3, and you are getting dangerous sound pressures on your eardrums, at least in our Sequoia. I don't know what kind of rocket surgery the engineers did to get this much sound, but I now know not to even bother trying to build my own enclosure with all the voodoo guesswork for 4 times the price. Oh, and you still need an amp.

I bought this for my girlfriend and put it in her 2007 4runner with ease, sounds great for how small it is. Can't turn the gain all the way up it begins to distort. But its a ten it is not meant to be that high. sounds awesome even with the radio. one of the best buys i have gotten from here.

Great Product

I was a bit woozy on this but was shock once installed in my 03 mustang convertible. It has a lot of bass even with top down. This box shakes to be so small. Truly amazed.

Great value and sound!

I've put it in an Dodge mega cab, fit perfectly behind back seat and wiring in to factory radio was a breeze. Added great lows and love the remote bass controller. Best bundle/all in one package you can find for the value. 2 thumbs up!

Great buy on some great bass!

This sub has been installed in my 4runner for 4 months. Easy install, doesn't take up much space and sounds awsome! Have the gain on half and still have plenty of bass. I listen to everything from country to rock. I don't think it can be beat for the $. Would be nice if a grill was included. Still earns 5 stars!

Best all-in-one Sub/Amp Combo

If you need a compact, simple to install, relatively powerful subwoofer then look no further. This is hands down the best powered sub for your vehicle that I have found. Is sounds great, provides tight bass, and will fit almost anywhere. This sub doesn't get particularly loud, but should honestly be plenty for most systems, especially for people who are looking at powered subs in the first place. Build quality is outstanding and it looks great. Honestly at this price point I doubt you could do much better, especially with an all-in-one combo.

Very good amplified 10" subwoofer system

This subwoofer has plenty of power and sounds great in my BMW coupe. It can vibrate my rearview mirror and I can feel the bass through my seat like a massage :) The enclosure is well-made and nicely finished. The controls are great for fine tuning the sound to your music style and preferences. I would recommend this system to anyone looking to add some nice bass on a budget. Installation doesn't get any simpler.

Great sub combo

Excellent sub. Good sound and power. Best sub I think I have owned. Built in amp is a nice addition. I plan to make another box for the sub and amp to conceal it in my Tacoma. As of right now running a Pioneer DVD deck with Polk component 6.5 fronts and coaxial 6.5 rears on head unit power and this sub sounds great. Once I add an amp for my front and rears, this sub will complete my system. I don't like boomy bass and this sub provides more than enough kick for my rock music!

Great all in 1 sub

I would recommend this sub if you want to save trunk space, moreover this thing really thumps.The hookup was simple since I already had a amp installed with preouts. If you own a hatchback or truck, this sub will make your hair stand up! ..I use the remote and have never had to turn it up more than half way even when playing songs that don't have much base. I Don't know about durability, I've only owned it for 2 months....but so far...so good !
