As vehicles have evolved over time with more aerodynamic styling and increased demand for more interior comfort, there has been less room to accommodate high performance speakers. The technology of the Fringe-Field magnet structure permits Overdrive speakers to be considerably thinner than comparably performing conventional speakers, so they can be mounted virtually anywhere in a vehicle. This allows unlimited installation possibilities for in-car audio & video systems. Speakers can be placed in many more locations, and the Fringe-Field design eliminates stray magnetic fields so speakers can be placed nearer to the vehicle occupants without interference to dashboard instrumentation.

Great for small spaces

I found these when i finally figured out i needed a slim speaker to fit into my car doors...wish i found these before i spent 100 bucks on another pair that didnt even fit cuz they were too deep...well anyway fer bein so slim these put out a nice sound and wit an amp sound even better...
