The Pioneer CD-IB100II iPod adapter allows for direct control and playback of iPod through any of the compatible iPod ready head units. Compatible head units can be connected with an iPod via this adapter and using the touch panel or soft keys, listeners can play iPod-recorded songs. To make life just a little bit easier, you will be able to scroll through playlists and pick out the tracks you want to listen to.
- Song/album titles, artist names, and track length — memorized by connected iPod — are conveniently displayed on the receiver's display. This capability also permits multiple “search” functions, making it a breeze to find a song to play back.

- Everybody's favorite option for shaking things up, Shuffle Songs randomly plays the songs in your iPod music library. Every song is a nice surprise, and the more files that are stored in the iPod, the greater the surprise.

I read some other reviews that say this doesn't work with iPhones! Well, they're wrong!! Works on the iPhone 3, 4, 4s; warning sign comes up on phone but just hit cancel!! And it still charges!!!!!! Sometimes you have to unplug and re plug to sync the phone!!!! If you turn the system on and off, big deal!!! Now, it wont play videos; it was never designed for that! Just get and run an A/V plug to Z's A/V input and you can watch movies and videos from your phone!!!!!! It perfect!!!!!!

It worked great with my older head unit. Allowed me to operate my iPod on screen. It is worth it if you have an obselete unit like I had for the low. I would just buy a newer deck if I had to do it all over again.
