The eXcelon KDC-X695 features built-in Bluetooth by industry leader in wireless technology Parrot. In addition to promoting a safer driving experience, the built-in Bluetooth feature of the KDC-X695 provides the added convenience of sending and receiving calls from the car stereo, as well as access to your phones address book on the display. An added benefit is the Bluetooth button on the front of the receiver that pairs your phone with the receiver at the touch of a button. Other great features of the KDC-X695 are iPod and iPhone direct control via the front USB port. Making it easy to connect, search, select and enjoy music from your iPod or iPhone. In addition the receiver features a front auxiliary input that easily accepts the headphone output of a portable music player or smart-phone. Adding a full range and subwoofer amplifier is possible through the three two and a half-volt preamp outputs the unit is equipped with. I love the sound. It takes time and some reading (manual isn't the best) to get it set up. My only real problem is that my smartphone (Motorola Blur) doesn't work well with it. The Bluetooth works fine but my phonebook is in a continuous download mode. It downloads fine and 20-30 seconds later it starts downloading again and again etc. The download screen is annoying and I really need the clock.
It drove me back to my old phone which is not a good thing. Anyone else having this problem?

Nice stereo
Overall a great product. Not the easiest to use but once you get used to it, it's not bad. Bluetooth capability works great except when doing voice text. Maybe cause I have a convertible.

nice stereo but...
So I figured that buying this headunit would completely eliminate the need for any cords since I have music on my phone. WRONG. The built in Bluetooth on this piece does not support media streaming. Had I known, I would have went with a cheapo Kenwood and bought the $125 Bluetooth adapter that DOES stream music via Bluetooth.
Other than that, as usual, its a really nice head unit. Love all of the other features and I would highly suggest someone buying this if they only want to use the Bluetooth for phone conversations.
