From the braided to the thick true gauge OFC cable, this is a good amp kit, going to trust NVX after all this amazing kit.

Great Amp Kit

I have been buying and installing car audio for about 18 years and out of all those years I have to come across an amp kit like this. This is the best kit I have ever installed. The wire is true to gauge ofc. I installed it in my car without any problems. Very flexible easy to work with. If you want a good amp kit don't buy this one but if you want a great amp kit purchase this one.

Super Product

Very nice product. The quality of the power and ground 4 gauge wire was great. Already had one end prepped with a terminal and the power wire has a protective sleeve for about 4 feet. The only complaint I have is that the plastic cover that goes over the fuse holder doesn't snap very tight, easy to knock off and expose the fuse. I put electrical tape down both sides to help hold it on.

Great Product

This sound deadener is great the best I have ever used. It is very thick and sticks to anything. I used it on my rear speaker deck cover. I didn't know if it would stick do to the that the cover was made of fiberglass. It worked, stuck to the cover like glue. The only down side to the product is like any the black tar like substance if you get it on your hands or fingers have to use paint thinner to remove, other than that the product sticks to just about anything. The price is great too, dynamat for the same about cost about 3 times as much. The NVX is a much superior product than dynamat also not paying to fill chip foose back pocket.

Quality Kit

I bought this kit because it is high quality, uses true 4 gauge wire, and comes with 20ft. of power wire. It is working very well with my JAD1200.1 amp. I get about 0.5V of voltage drop at full power, 1 ohm impedance on test tones. I am very happy with the performance of this wire.

I'm addicted to NVX!

I used this in my 2008 Town & Country too! I purchased this kit to power my NVX JAD900.5 and could not be more pleased! Good quality, thick, durable, flexible... the list goes on! This made my install so easy! I can find only one problem... I don't have enough vehicles to do installs!! I can't get enough of NVX! I would be happy installing NVX on a daily basis! Everything NVX is fun and easy to use!! Thanks guys... you ROCK!

decent for the price

This RCA cable came with my 0 gauge wire kit, the power cable is good but the RCA cable is just ok. I didn't expect much of the RCA cable for the few more dollars, so its okay.

Nice product

I got this to go along with the XKIT44 so I could run 6 channels. The wire portion is nice. It has a nice look, flexibility, and is easy to route. The connecter part isn't the bast I have owned. They aren't gold plated and dont have that heavy feel like some RCAs, and they fit a little loose on the RCA inputs of my amp. I just pinched the ends of the jacks a little, and that made them fit onto my amp's input a bit tighter. Im not getting any kind of interference, dropped signal, or noise caused by the wires, so I would say they work perfectly. This will definitely get the job done and look nice.

Cable is flexible easy to work with & route around. The connection cap Could have been a bit more sturdy or tuffer, its made out of light plastic. Overall its a great product, price is good & signal is great.

Powerful, Affordable, High Quality Amplifier

Great amp.. Small footprint. I have it pushing two NVX VSW104s and it is more than enough. TONS of power. I actually have the gain at less than 50%. The bass knob doesn't function like it should, so I installed a LC-1 and it's perfect! No complaints here. Tons of power and never runs hot. Actually pushes around 1500 watts if turned all the way up.

Great product

The kit is great true 4 gauge power and ground wire. The pre installed ring connectors makes it so much faster and easier to install. Handles the power of my two amps well no overheating or anything. Great product and price.

NVX is Good

I needed this so I could connect my sub. I already had the NVX 4 Channel XKIT44 and this set was the perfect complement to complete my sound system.

Great buy

First time buying NVX product, very good overall quality. The wire itself was very flexible and seemed to be true to the gauge listed. It had more than enough to hook up everything I needed. I actually had extra parts. Keep in mind, this particular kit does not include RCA's, I did not need them for my install as I already had some. The only thing I had an issue with was the top of the fuse holder for the fuse box seems to fit a little loosely once the fuse box was bolted in. It has not come off as of yet, but I've only had it installed for a few days. Overall, compared to some of the other big name brands, I can't see why you'd pay more for their product when this one is very high quality at a great price. Thanks Sonic!

Small amp...huge power!

This amp is tiny, has big power wire terminals, and one ohm mono stable, producing well over 1200 rms all the time.
Doesn't even get hot. NVX is clean and a great value, very low price for big power. Amp is all metal, that speaks for itself regarding quality.

Very Happy so Far

I purchased the JAD800.4 along with a JAD1200.1 to power my Infinity Kappa speakers and MB Quart subs. My first choice was the Infinity Kappa Five amp, but I had problems with two of them and was given a store credit. Second time around I decided to go with two amps (4/1channel) hoping for better performance / reliability.
I read a lot of mixed reviews on Class D amplifiers. Many people think that A/B has better sound quality, while others prefer the small footprint, high power / low heat output of Class D. Being an engineer I reviewed the specs and was very impressed with the signal to noise as well as the THD compared to Class A/B.
NVX is a relatively new brand so I turned to Google and found several good reviews. I was looking at the Polk amps and NVX seems to be very similar, with the controls panels and specs being almost identical (and NVX was in stock).
Out of the box the amps had a solid feel and clean look. They have a soft-start feature that powers them up a few seconds after they get power. This gives you time to start your engine without drawing any current. Very nice.
The sound quality is excellent - better than other A/B amps I had in the past. More than enough power - I haven't even cranked them all the way up yet and don't think I'll ever have to.
I have a second MB Quart 10 RLP on back order because with one sub I was getting distortion before I could feel the bass. It turns out that the Infinity Kappa Five amp was the weak link. The JAD 1200.1 pushes one sub very well.
The only negative I have to say about these amps is that the adjustment dials take a philips screwdriver, and they do not have an arrow or line showing you what it is set to. This made it a little inconvenient to tweak the crossover points.

I will never buy another brand. NVX is the real deal and affordable also. I would recommend anyone to NVX and SONIC ELECTRONIX.

Good clean amp, solid deal for the price.

I have had car audio as a hobby for 15 years now and am thoroughly satisfied with these amps and everything else I've acquired from NVX

Pros: Small size (seriously 1/4 the size of a lot of amps,) doesn't get very hot running @ 1 ohm pushing hard, it's quite efficient and not power hungry, good clean power!!!

Cons: The X-over and gain controls are meant to be turned about 2 full revolutions instead of 1/2 revolution. This wasn't a real problem but did catch me quite off guard. The power mounts are standard at 8 ga with an adapter for up to 1/0 ga. I happen to us 1/0 ga and found this to be a little troublesome and silly. Finally, the screw holes and all the speaker and power mounts adjustments must be made through holes in their handle design requiring you to use a rather slender screwdriver, which you may just not have handy at all.

I feel that for the price the pro's of this unit certainly outweigh it's slight drawbacks. I have 2 NVX VCW 12's being pushed by 2 of these amps. I am very pleased with this set as the speakers can hit a wide frequency range while, be pretty loud, and be very clean at the same time. I definitely recommend this amp. The quality isn't far from Sundown or Memphis but the price sure is!

This amp is amazing...POWERFUL.
I would recommend this amp to any one...i have it running 2 JL audio 15's and it hits so hard it blurs my vision while driving. ..its a bad ass amp, and sonic electronic is awesome

Great buy

The NVX 1200.1 does rated or above I have it running 2 sundown SA 8 d4 at 1ohm and it gives them all they want with plenty of head space. The amp gets warm but haven't had it shut down yet and I play it hard. I also have a NVX 800.4 running my highs and it also has very clean sound and so much more power than I'm using I would suggest these amps to anyone not wanting to spend alot but have good clean power.

Very good amp for the money

I have had this amp now for 6 months and it is an extremely clean and powerful amp. I have owned amps that I've paid double the price for, that were no where near the quality of this amp. Does not get very hot and hits my 12" Cerwin Vega Hard and Clean. Only issue is the connectors to the speaker are a little difficult to access.

NVX power

I purchased a 4g NVX power cable. I would highly reccomend this to anyone looking for car audio wiring. The fuse and fuse holder look great and even with the power cable being so thick it's super flexible. I really like how the terminals came pre crimped also

Quality wires

I bought this kit based on the many positive reviews I had read as well as the manufacturer's specs - and I'm glad I did. This kit contains quality wires - true-to-size gauges with durable and flexible insulation. The power wire has the protective loom pre-installed at just about the right spot as well as a sturdy lug. The fuse holder works well with both ANL and mini-ANL fuses. The speaker wire is great and that little extra length is a bonus not found in many kits at this price point.

Because the “NVX” brand is relatively unknown to me (I am sure some have had more experience with the brand and their products) my expectations were low, however, for the price, this is a great kit. Wire is true-gauge, very flexible, high strand count OFC wire. If you’re looking for a 4ga single-amp kit, this is a great option… amazing bang for the buck value. If this is representative of the product NVX is putting out, the rest of their product line deserves a closer look…

Great Kit

As good or better than my Rockford fosgate wiring kit was. I especially like the heat shield for the wire that will be in the engine. The fuse and fuse holder seem well made also. Highly recommend this kit!

Great amp fit for the money.

This Amp kit is great I used exclusive NVX for my system this go round and I am VERY pleased with the quality to value ratio. My only complaint is that the AMP power wire could be a bit longer. now I think it is important to point out that I got this kit because the AMP Power wire is longer in this than most other kits 20ft compared to 17ft. But I think in a kit like this they should give you at least 25ft to cut depending on your needs. Other than that everything was perfect the gauge is true not 'mostly' insulation, the wire is strong and the speaker cable is well made. I did not use the included ring terminals or zip ties I used my own heavy duty ones.

High quality

This kit is great it has tru 4 gauge size and the envyflex wire that stuff is awesome its super easy to work with and bends with ease also they give u more than what most companies will give u in wire. I've got so much extra power wire I have to find a place to tuck it. Awesome stuff nvx always goes beyond what others won't.

great amp

I bought this amp because I liked the specs and it matched the 4 channel amp that I had previously bought. I installed this amp and wow, it puts out some serious power.

JAD 1200.1 in a boat

I bought the 1200.1 to match the other 4 NVX amps in my boat. I bought 2 800.4s to run on my compression horns and have been very impressed with the power out put, the low power consumption and the JAD lines compact dimensions.

Upon install I noticed the same quality that my other JAD amps have, I paired it up with two 10" L7s in a ported box. I hoped that the amp would run well @1 ohm into the ported box. I am under the impression it's underpowering them slightly which is what I feared. I still have to fully tune everything out and woofers arnt broken in as of yet.

For the cost chassis size and power consumption this amp is more than anyone could ask for..

I remain very happy with the quality and performance of the JAD amps in a marine environment. Like others have stated the bass knob does not work as it should.

All will be solved when I add my wet sounds eq

Would and have reccomended this product to others.

great setup for a great price

As this would be my first car audio install, I trusted SonicElectronix to provide me with what I needed quickly and cost-effectively. Sonic did not disappoint.
This NVX amp kit was the perfect choice to get my install going. Had to pull that 4 gage through many twists and turns before getting to the trunk...had to pull quite hard at times. No abrasions or tares, came out the other end like a champ!
The NVX XAPK4 was recommended by SonicElectronix and I'm glad I listened...thanks Sonic!

I got this kit to power a Boss 2600 watt amp. The terminals fit the amp perfectly and the wire is very good quality. They are very flexible and can be easily routed. I would recommend any gauge NVX amp kits and they will be the only ones I ever put in my own vehicles.

Beware of Bass Knob

I love the amplifier, I have it wired down to 1ohm for it's full 1,200 watts to power two Alpine SWR-12d4. I was surprised to see how small it really is and how good it looks compared to my old Brutus 1200.1D. I love how is made of metal all around not plastic, and that it is CEA-2006 compliant.

However, I can't say the same for the bass knob. The bass knob is made of plastic all around and seems cheap, to make things worst just like previous reviews, indeed the bass knob doesn't seem to work properly. I have worked with two of this amps, originally I bought one and the bass knob didn't work. It dove me crazy so I had it exchanged thinking it was broken, however, the replacement wasn't much different.
The first one I had the bass knob didn't do anything from volume 0-50% and anything from 50-100% of the volume was exactly the same (no difference in volume)...The second one, the current one I use, the bass knob doesn't play anything from volume 0-25% and anything from volume 25-100% is the same volume, just like the last amp there is no difference in volume sound. It feels more like a ON and OFF knob if anything. That was a huge turn off in my eyes almost made me return it back

Pros: CEA-2006 Complaint, looks good, sounds great, full metal.
Cons: Bass knob is garbage. (Huge turn off!!!)

Nvx jad1200.1

This little amp was a surprise. It performs very well. Doesnt over hit and im using it on 2 12's st 1ohm load to handle 600watts a piece. Outstanding buy

Not Powerful Enough

I bought this amp with a package deal including a 12 inch alpine sub. While the sub sounds amazing, this little amp was not powerful enough to push my one sub. Whenever I turn the radio up the bass would cut in and out, and the bass nob is pretty much useless, it only turns the bass on, but there is no difference in sound when turning the knob, I end up buying a Brutus 1100 watt amp, and the difference is like night and day. I do not recommend this product if you can spend a couple extra $100s you will be able to get a much better amp and I think it would be worth the investment.
pros: its small and pretty much fits anywhere in the car.
cons: not enough power, and bass knob is trash.
I did not have a good experience with this product and now I will stay away from this brand.

TRUE RMS

I have just completed installation of this amp. So far, the power is surprising. I did not realize the amp was so small when i purchased it. In fact, I was very doubtful that it would perform well after seeing the size after unboxing. I use it to power two 12s. It delivers a very satisfying thump. I am genuinely amazed by the power. I also use a nvx capacitor. I am fast becoming a nvx fan. Great products in my experience.

NVX JAD1200.1

I have this amp pushing two 12' dual 2 ohm RockFord Fosgate P2s, and sounds great! Only problem I have is that it heats up pretty quick. Most likely bad wiring on my part. Besides that it's a great amp.

Fantastic amplifier

Fantastic amplifier for the price, true to it's specs, I run it at 1 ohm all day long and it doesn't over heat, I would highly recommend it.

I bought this cause my sub needed a more powerful amp. It made a huge difference in the sound. I recommended this amp to a few friends and they bought one too. The cons is that it is very power hungry and the remote knob is usless. Other than that it is a great amp, great power for the price. I would buy it again and again!

NVX Amp 1200 watt

Don't know much about amps, but this one sure does the job! Amp volume control works but don't see much difference when put past half way up to max volume.

Big Power less space

have this running one sxx10d2 in a 34hz box and it pushes hard. Gets slightly warm but not too hot and hasnt cut out after hours of using. great amp solid build and small. what more to ask for

GET IT!!!!!!!

NVX is my new favorite company their products are very well built at a fantastic price. This amp is as clean as can be and has every feature needed it is simple as that. I have it with the NVX VCW122 at 1Ohm and it gets maybe lukewarm LOVE IT!! I do have one complaint however I hate how a 1200 Watt amp comes with 8 AWG pawer and ground, and while they do include an adapter for 0 AWG the screws on mine were drilled wrong or something, but i just re drilled the threads and they worked fine. I would really like to see the next gen not need an adapter for 0 AWG or 4 AWG

Jad1200.1 best in class

pros: small form factor, produces loud clean bass, 24db/oct crossovers (hpf lpf) comes with 3 replacement fuses, speaker terminals and power ground remote inputs are all Philips screws. includes adapter to work with 1/0 gauge wire. gets warm but not hot. 111db s/n ratio.

Great amp

I got this amp a while back with 2 of the new 12" type-R and it beats them hard. Have it wired down to 2 ohm and everything in my car shakes. I'll be getting another one soon so I can run 1 to each sub for some crazy bass. Good amp never overheats wen after hours of torture (:

I bought the nvx sound deadner,AWESOME! Ive heard nvx amps arent too bad and are a huge "sleeper" for their price. I want to see nvx products bench tested because im very interested in this brand now. Everything ive seen from this company is well priced and performed my expectations just because of price. I think nvx will do good in the future we will see? I cant say anything about durability though but il giver a 5 because people i know havent complained yet so thats a good thing!

WOW!!

Buy this. Worth every penny. I don't give anything 5 stars, but this kit is fantastic. Flexible cable, quality insulation, great fuse holder, quality components all the way around. The ONLY complaint is I had to use electrical tape to insure that the fuse holder housing stayed together under the hood. Honestly, a pretty minor issue.

Awesome little amp!!!

I have gone through 4 different amps trying to find the right one to power my 2 Kicker 10" L-7's. They were in my other car on a JL 1000/1, but I upgraded to a DD sub for the JL, and moved the L-7's to my daily driver. The most recent amp that I had hooked up to them was an MB Quart ONX1.1500D, which was a good amp for the money, but after getting used to the JL, I pushed the MB Quart too hard and fried it (thank GOD for Square trade warranties--they really do pay off). I ordered a Hifonics BRZ1200.1D, and while I was waiting on that, The guys at Sonic suggested that I try out this new little amp they were now selling. They said that it was a much better amp than the MUCH bigger Hifonics, and I must admit, I was very skeptical. But, they were right!! It's going on 2 months now and this thing is making my L-7's POUND, while the amp barely gets warm !!! It's not a JL 1000/1, but for 1/4 the price and 1/3 the size, it beats the hell out of darn near anything in it's price range!! Supposedly, this amp is even better than the Rockford Fosgate Prime Series, which I also considered. Sonic's customer service is great and their employees know their products and will give it to you straight about what's what, even if it goes against your core beliefs. Keep up the good work!!

I have this running two rockford fosgate p3sd4s at 2 ohms in my 4door 2500 hd silverado and they might not flex the windows but they sound great and hit hard when you want them too very nice amp looks good good clean bass got a good deal on it too ill never buy any where elts sonic is the best any body wondering just buy it you won't regret it

The Best, Pound for Pound!

In the same ballpark as this little guy, nothing touches it. The AD-1 Test run is legit! I'm running this at 2ohms, and I am AT LEAST grtti getting the 800w at 14v. Compared to amps of the past, this thing is a bit unimpressive out of the box because of its tiny footprint. Once plugged up it leaves Little Doubt of its performance! It gets warm, but my hand doesn't get an NVX logo branded if I touch it. Between the beating I'm giving it and the 95+ degree summer we're having, this guy is a Trooper! I chose this over the Rockford Fosgate R1200, and I dont regret it one bit. Only complaint is the bass knob, it's not as sensitive as I'd like, but once you find the sweet spot it works as advertised. It may just be dummy proof, which is why there's no "bass boost" knob - A Good Thing!

I've only had the amp hooked up for a day so far.but it seems to be built pretty sturdy.set on low setting right now till speakers are broken in good.comes with power cable gauge adapters to allow 1/0 power hookups.bass knob included which is great.amp splits internally to drop youre ohm,makes hooking multiple speakers simple.for durability im going to give it a five bc i havent really had a chance to work it hard yet but even at low settings hooked to two vcw104 it sounds great

Excellent Sub Amp

This replaced my stolen Soundstream Reference 1000sx from the late 90s. So far its been good, I also purchased a RE Audio SEX12D2 and it sounds great. Dont know why people say the new re subs are no good. I've had a system in all my cars since 1997. Used all the top brands and i gotta say this amp is great. 1000 watt amps in the late 90s were usually in the $1000 range. Great deal too, in 15 years of being amazed at car stereo ive had from the beginning a 50 sanyo amp. upgraded to a hitron whitney, upgraded to LA Sound Malibu, then soundstream reference 200, Lanzar opti50. then US Amps usa150. then US Amps usa200, Kicker Si200, ppi art series300, ppi pc275, mtx 2150x rockford 500m.1,soundstream reference 1000sx and now this. its far the most powerful amp Ive had to date. Ive stopped purchasing car audio in 2002 since i had everything, but in the past 10 years prices have sure dropped a lot. Redid my entire system with current gear and the passion still lives on.

Great actual thickness of Cable + Wire. Power, and Ground cables are pre-terminated on one end. Several feet on the positive Cable are sheathed for protection in your engine bay.
Has everything for an amp install, except RCAs, but I like picking up the NVX RCAs separately, because everybody's length will be different, and you can get the higher end NVX RCAs for just $10-$20.

Totally recommend to get this series rca from nvx, before this, i only use cheap rca and after upgradging, some notes from same songs i hear everyday comes out clearly that only i realized it was there before. Great stuff here.

Great Buy!

I bought one of these because I saw they made/ exceeded their power rating. I was more than pleased with it, so I bought another. Now I have two of these on two NVX 15's and I am very satisfied. The only issues I have with them is that they are not strappable and the bass knob only works about half way down. Other than that it is a great buy!

I am very happy with the amp powering 2 Alpine Type r 12". The amp pushes them enough to be clear and thump. Super simple to wire, love the remote amp level. Use it all the time, when I have people that don't like big bass. It is simple to just turn it down.

Great lower cost wiring kit.

Purchased this paticular kit because I didn't need RCA patch cables as I was wiring in a LOC for someone wanting to add a subwoofer.
It's not the top tier OFC kit but will work for many years, wiring and insulation are nice and soft/flexible.
I'd buy it again for sure, good little fuse holder design as well, although it didn't come with the fuses, was able to locate one locally.

I've had this amp for about a year now and have it wired to 1 ohms to an Alpine SWR-12D2. This amp is pretty small, but it definitely puts out at least 1200 watts RMS. This amp has never went into protect, clipped, or done anything wrong. It's dependable, affordable, and puts out some serious power for it's size. It is also CEA-2006 compliant which means it's been proven to put out at least what it says. The only thing is that this amp gets pretty hot. I've never played it for hours on end, but regardless the sides and top get pretty warm. It has never went into protect though, so I wouldn't worry about it. My cars also an oven during the summer. Also, the bass remote doesn't work the greatest. It is more like an on/off switch. But I don't really care because I can tune it through my headunit. Overall I am very pleased with this amp as with all NVX products. They're one of my favorite brands. I only wish they would make a huge monoblock, like 2400 watts RMS. Now that would be awesome!

I ordered this kit because the power wire is 20', instead of the usual 17', and I think I'll be able to use the extra for at least part of a big-3 upgrade, since my car is pretty tiny. This may also be an attractive feature if you drive a whale. It also looks great, has a very nice fuse-holder, and nice thick eyelet. The price was also great for 20' of OFC. The included speaker wire is also heavy with thick coating.

ONE PROBLEM: the fuse was missing. This is an NVX mistake, but SonicElectronix sent me out a replacement pack of fuses with no hassle.

I am by no means an electrical engineer to know the exact amounts of current loss from length of wire and/or type of wire, but what I can tell you is this kit is Great!! I'm sure that there are people out there who know what the exact specifications of this kit are compared to all the other kits available. Just got this to power 2 Kicker L7 10" and I'm very happy with the bass. Amp is really small and it came in handy as I saved some space compared to previous one since I put it under my seat. I got 25% off too so I can't complain. Small complaint is the LED is a little bright for my taste.

This is my go to 4 gauge amp kit because the wire is top notch OFC quality and the fuse holder is nice. I like the NVX fuse holder better than the Crutchfield kit.

Came fast and the copper wire was thick, of good quality and nicely flexible. The one thing this kit did not have was a fuse...that would hav been good. Overall, a good deal and a good kit. This kit is being used to send current to a 500 RMS Watt Infinity Kappa sub and is doing a great job.

This amp is hooked to two nvx vcw dual 4s in a 1998 dodge ram ext cab fox acoustic box and the sound quality of the amp n box is already noticeably better n louder than my Soundqubed Q750.1 obviously less power. My box has alot to do with SQ as well chambers r .74 cu ft stuffed with 3/4 lb of pillfill and I siliconed around the subwoofer gasket to the box and there is NO leaks. Tuned at 35hz. The amp is small just bigger than a license plate n puts out big power on only 4awg soundqubed wire. Wht I love is how efficient it is. gives off great bass n sound while my lights NEVER dim only have big 3 on stock alt. I recommend this amp over most otheres for the price. the technology and underrated power is worth every penny and I dont plan on parting with it because it took me 3 yrs to finally buy this system. The amp is decent. To tune it your pretty much guessing. Looks good and sounds clear though. It gets a little warm but I have it pushing to digital design woofers which like power. I went from a hifonics 1200 to this and the difference was night and day. The nvx seems to almost double the power output. For the price I'd recommend it. Caint say its the best. But if you want a strong reliable little amp this is the one to get!

Very powerful, but bass knob sucks.

The amp is very small but very powerful. 1200 watts rms is definitely an understatement. The only concern is the bass knob. It shows to be adjustable, but its more like 0%, 15%, and 100%. I've tried a few different bass knobs on this amp and they all do the same thing so i assume its something with the amp. I would recommend this amp but i'd also highly recommend getting a good in-line bass knob for it.

Pretty kickass amp, little size...huge power

I like the output power pf this amp. I have it pushing two NVX vcw104's. I seem to have plenty of power and room for advancement. Although I'm not entirely satisfied with the craftsmanship of this thing. I can manage to "fiddle around with" the knobs, all except the Subsonic filter. it turns and turns and turns. Although It seems to be set right and not be pushing out any super LOOOOWS I'm just entirely happy w something on here not working. and the fact that it would be a 2 week or more turn around for me to get a replacement I am just sucking it up and keeping it. I have a 2 year warranty so if it truly becomes an issue I expect full return access, as I purchased this with the wiring kit for THAT exact reason. And everyone is complaining about the bass knob but to be honest I could care less of that.

Love this amp, puts out all the power is says it does and more. The only thing i would like better is if it had the LPF and Subsonic Filter knobs labled better with numbers so you knew exactly where they were set.

Almost unbeatable for the price point.

Uses the same circuit board as the Precision P1000.1 and other amps around the same price, if you compare the internals though you will see that NVX uses beefier/higher quality components.
You can see videos of people testing amps with an "amp dyno" to see if they put out the watts they claim, this amp has been shown to put out up to 1350 WATTS! (If your battery/alternator can keep up.)

I have this amp running at 1ohm on 2 12s and it f**king bangs, only small complaint is that because of its small size it can get pretty hot running at full tilt for a while. Never had it go into protect or get to hot to touch though.

Very impressed.

After taking a day to pre-wire my car with the 1/0 Guage kit I finally got everything where it needed to be. I had a left over 1 farad cap that went into the install as well.(gonna have to up grade my alternator) I did have issues running such a big wire through my car but it was recommended and worth it.
The big amp is really about the size of a license plate. connects are ok but they work. btw, you gotta punch a pretty big hole to ground 1/0 gauge. Ok onto the real sh*t..my car actually breathes now. The lows are strong and focused, can't see through any of the mirrors and my sunroof is gonna crack soon. In other words...major bump. I'm a Rockford Fosgate fan but with a kid in college now, my budget on this project was limited. Punch has some competition now though. The amp does get hot after an hour beating the sh*t out of my 3 10's wired to 1.3 ohms. It did go into thermal protection mode but after a few minutes it woke up. Also, due to tight spaces it's right next to its brother the 800.4 so I'll be adding fans really soon. After a bit more tuning, adjustments and tweaking I hv found a sound that will rival many high end systems. Sq and spl I'm very impressed and satisfied.
cons...nothing that wouldn't raise the price like cooling fans,bass booster. The led for power is really bright. It and the logo being lit is unnecessary. Not into aesthetics for something that's tucked behind my rear seat. but for the price and the sound is can deal with it. I'm old school and I believe in value. Just buy it you won't regret it. I did a lot of research before I made my purchase and actually I was so impressed with the quality of the nvx amp kit I received I just had to try an amp. I had it professionally installed and the installers never heard of this brand but they were blown away. I have this pushing a Sundown audio sa 8v3 and it sounds great, it has tons of power and it's clean power. Sonic electronix has been great. I had to return a couple items and the return process was quick and easy. I'll definitely use them again.

This amp is AMAZING and worth every penny! The power output of this amp is tremendous and the size is small enough to almost fit anywhere! I keep talking about the price of NVX products compared to how much value they actually have, but it's true. This amp should be worth $400 or more. The only thing NVX I didn't like was the EQ. Bought this to replace my 1 year old Type S. My daily driver is a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country (Hey I got kids and they haul crap). I just wanted a little more than what the S was giving me. Got way more than I had hoped for. I thought I would get about double the sound. Nope its way more than double. I have this matched to a Pioneer GM D8601. Puts out (True) 800RMS @ 1ohm. Installed it today and got it set up. I dont do the break in ritual some people live by but I do take it easy for the first hour. Then retune and go all out. I must say for 1 12 in a 1.5cuft slot port in the back of a minivan sounds like I got way more than what I do have. Got a buddy at work work running 2 12' JL W3s and I cant wait to run the db meter with him to see how this compares. I know vehicle makes a difference and box but hes got those in a Tahoe in slot ports and they dont hit as hard. So heres my Pros and Cons....

Only 1 The included jumper wires.
I run 8ga speaker wire. Why? Mostly because I can, but I do notice a difference in responsiveness and also amp runs way cooler. But that being said the included jumpers have cheap banana ends on them. When I put the 8ga into the push terminals it makes the banana only go half way in. Was a little worried about them popping out so ended up using the set that I had from my type S that seemed a bit sturdier. Plan to rework inside the box and just make my own jumpers to eliminate the potential problem.

Great amp! Crappy bass knob.

I bought this amp a month ago and it sounds great! I would place it as an intermediate amplifier. Not the best, but not the worst. I also own an old Directed D1200 class D monoblock (2005 model - 11 year old amp) that makes this amp sound weak. The amp has a really nice punch to it for hard hitting songs. It can also sustain notes very well, but not in the lower frequencies. Subsonic only goes to 20Hz, but doesnt seem to hit 30Hz and below very easily. It doesn't get very warm at all. Played it for an hour straight, set the gains with a DMM using the math, turned up just below the clipping point, and it felt warmish, BUT definitely not hot! The only complaint I have, THE BASS KNOB....... The bass knob sucks. I installed the amp, 16 gauge signal wire, 4 gauge power and ground cables, grounded to the frame, Krystal RCAs, Kicker 10 gauge speaker wires, gold plated speaker twist lock terminals, and yet i have about 1/16th of adjustment out of the knob. I ordered another bass knob, same type from here made for this amp, and the same problem. The new bass knob even came with another set of wires for it. I tried every combo with the old and the new knob... no luck. Lost a star because of that. Great quality amp, crappy quality bass knob.

I love this little amp. I am replacing a Rockford BD1000 that I had for 10 years. Not really into car stereo like I used to so I was looking for a budget amp. There is nothing cheap about this amp except the price. I have it pushing a pair of 10's at 600rms each wired at 1 ohm and this thing is a beast. First NVX purchase but I will definitely consider this brand for other equipment in the future. Like everyone else said the bass knob is a little hard to get used to but I have a 4 year old so I like being able to turn it all the way down and have no sub output.

These amps deadly! Small footprint, build solid, more then 1200 watts rms at 1 ohm. Love that it comes with the 1/0 gauge adapter, very helpful for running larger gauge wire. Only negative would be the bass remote, seems very 'cheap' compared to the amp. I don't use it so it doesn't bother me.

The first one I order was actually defective (LPF dial just kept spinning, had no stopping point, LPF did work though) I was just going to deal with it, as I'm in Canada and shipping it back and forth would be expensive for me. I did call NVX and let them know about the issue and instead of them saying "okay" or "What do you want us to do about it" they were extremely helpful. They worked with Sonicelectronix and were able to ship me a new amp that day! They also covered the cost to ship back the defective amp. I absolutely love the NVX products. Highly recommend any of their products.

So yeah i had this amp for about 5 months before it randomly started going into protect on me every single time i turned my car on... I returned it, and am currently waiting for my new one to come in. Before this all happened, it was a DECENTLY loud LITTLE amp, very small footprint and light weight. Its running my 2 sundown sa 12s, subs stay very cool while the amp does as well unless im slamming her for about an hour and a half then shed get warm. I really cant complain about the performance and sound for the price. If you want louder it would take probably double the cost even triple the cost, to in fact be louder. Hopefully my new one doesnt randomly stop playing on me like this one did...

This amp is an amazing piece of equipment!!! NVX has hit a slam dunk with their jad series amps especially the jad1200.1 this amp is amazing and for the power it puts out the footprint is awesome for small spaces I've had amps that only did a few hundred rms as big as this 1 amd this little powerhouse puts out every bit of rated power and then some. I run min at 1ohm and it slams my nvx vxw152 sub hard and with the gain maybe only at maybe 70%. It will get a little warm at 1ohm but never hot what so ever. It's probably 1 of the most efficient amps in its class and the price is very fair...I'm so convinced I'm about to place an order for another to push a 2nd vcw. I have absolutely 0 regrets buying this amp and any other nvx product for that matter. Not to mention sonics customer service is on point. If your having trouble pulling the trigger just do it I can promise there will be no regret or buyers remorse on this 1. My only con I can find is the bass knob that comes with it didn't really work me and just turned it on amd off but I had spares so not a big deal but the amp itself is grade A stuff and will give u every bit of 1200rms at 1ohm probably closer to 1400 to be honest it's a serious amp everything on it is top notch and no cheap little parts like the cheap amps it's all aluminum and no plastic and when u hold it u can tell it's very well built unlike alot of others out there!!! I was pushing 2 re audio 10's (600W each) with a cheap 2000W amp and they sounded like crap and had lots of distortion. I bought this 1200.1 NVX amp and they hit twice as hard and there is no distortion. All around clean sounding bass. It's a small simple amp that works very well compared to spending $500-$1000 for a big name brand.

I purchased this amp because I needed a 1 ohm stable amp. I plan on going from 2 woofers to 4. During my out of box inspection noticed all fuses blown. I replaced them with the ones that came with the amp. It still seems to work but output seem very low from my previous amp. My other amp was a kicker amp that puts out 1000rms at 2 ohms. This amp puts out 800 @ 2 ohms. I understand its a 200 watt difference, but the kicker amp output was twice as loud of the NVX. My other subs should be installed in a few days so I'll see what the output is like @ 1 ohm. If its still poor...... refund!

Tip my hat to this amp

I give this amp an outstanding 5 stars. I came from a hifonics brx 2200 to this and wow what a difference in quality and real power and sound. This amp does put out very clean signal and no distortion with plenty of head room. I have this to a cvx 15 and man I never thought a kicker can hit very hard and clean this amps provides that and what's a big plus is that it's able to accept a 0 awg wire with the included adapter. Just incredible.

I have had these subs for over a year now and they still bump! I am running 2 12WD4 in a custom ported box running 1800W RMS to both of them at 1ohm with 1G oxygen-free wire and a big 3 upgrade. With this set up my windshield flexes like crazy and the truck sounds like it wants to fall off when I push them to their full potential. You tune them right and they will go off! Def hard hitting and extremely well built

I have owned two of the type s series years back and good grief they were loud, or so I thought, they cracked the glass on the hatch of the 89 mustang they were in. Fast forward to now and I currently have two 2ohm type R. Pushed by a rockford fosgate t-1000bdcp amp. They shake my seats, the roof of my car flexes. With the amps constant power technology at 2 ohm I'm feeding both speakers just a hair under their rated rms. They get as low as the box and amp will let them and when the highs come in (100ish hz)
It sounds like there's a really pissed beast trying to rip its way out of my trunk. They're FANTASTIC subs. I beat on them every single day for at least an hr of full rms pounding. To the point that get a bit smelly. Yet every day they sound amazing. I paid $350 each so seeing them for so cheap here makes me think about adding a couple more to the mix. You will not be disapointed with this sub. I can promise you that. They're built for abuse....

Alpine R series is one of the best ever made

I'll be honest and say that I don't have this current model, I have the one from ten years ago called the 1223D and it's been put through years of abuse and is still going strong. It only has 600w rms compared to this new one but I currently have it wired down to 1ohm hooked up to a Pioneer GM-8701 thrown into a ported box in the cab of my Ranger. It pounds just as hard as the day I got it in 2010. I want to upgrade to this new one since it has 150w rms more and my amp has 800w rms at 1ohm but this old type r won't die! If you want something that has deep bass and longevity all for a great price? This is the one.
