Nostril Vibration

I blew my Memphis MClass 12 running 300 watts at 4 ohms with an Alpine MVR500 ( great amp). This website had THE BEST price on this Pioneer sub after doing a week of homework. You will not find another sub within $200 of this one that as high a sensitivity (96 bd) & this much Xmax (13mm). I put this into my same sealed box (1.25 sq ft) & I bangs!! It's super clean but still makes your nostrils vibrate, which the Memphis never did. I'm running it @ 2 ohm @ 540 rms. Next I will be putting in a larger ported box. Nobody around here believes it's only 1 12 my RSX. I nearly bought a sundown audio 12, but after much homework comparing the specs, this was the sub for me & I'm beyond impressed!!! You won't be disappointed with this sub or with Sonicelectronix! They got it here in 2 days as promised.

Amazing subwoofers

I purchased two of these subs to replace my single pioneer ts-w3002d2 with hopes of having louder and clearer bass reproduction without having to upgrade electricals(my cars year makes it expensive to upgrade) and i was definately pleased. I have them both wired at 2 ohms to my pioneer amp pushing the 600 Rms to both and they hit hard, loud and clear. I would highly recommend these subs to anyone wanting inexpensive, high quality sound without needing a high powered amp.

Impressive for the money !

I bought two of these for my Ford ranger extra cab, and built a ported box five cubic feet net, not including port volume. Each sub has its own port tuned to 33hz and 16 sq in port area. I have a Massive Audio N4 loaded to 1 ohm, which is putting out 1444 watts at 13.5 volts, with box rise the subs won't get that much power. About a month of playing they are starting to sound better now that that dual spiders are breaking in. Needless to say the bass is incredible ! Flexing the back of the cab quite a bit. These pioneer subs "suspension" is in my opinion more durable than the new alpine type r sub which has a single spider. My last type r spider separated from the cone completely and then failed. Sorry alpine.

These are awesome!

I upgraded from 2 ts-w310d4s to a pair of these. The 310s are a great sub for getting loud with minimal power required. I A/B swapped the 310s to these with the same box/ amp. The 3003s obviously draw a little harder on electrical, but without being broke-in yet, they are as loud as the 310s that have over 150 hours on them. They move the windshield a bit more than the 310s already, after a very short 4-hour break-in. The build quality is literally "impressive". You would be hard-pressed to find build quality like this under $120-150. I have seen $200-plus subs that aren't built this nice. They sound smooth and have a nice curve with a moderate-sized enclosure.

These AND the 310s are excellent products for their price. I recommend these if you have over 500W of clamped, daily power per sub, but if you have under 500W a sub, def go with the 310s. Also go with the 310s if you have a puny electrical system, and don't see yourself upgrading it, as the 3003s will draw a considerable amount. The 310s will shine under 500W per sub.

Great sounding woofer

Set this woofer up at 2 ohms in a ported Belva box with an SSL 1500 watt mono amp. The woofer sounds amazing with very smooth and deep bass. Very efficient woofer as the amp's gain and bass boost are set at 1/4 . Definitely would recommend.

Great subs at an unbeatable price

When I got these, they were on sale for one heck of a value, so I figured I would buy them. To start, I have never dealt with audio before but my friends all had. When I told them I was going to buy some subs, put them together, and power them indoors with some server power supplies they laughed and tried to tell me all sorts of things. I'm powering these with a Hifonics Brutus BRX 1200.1 (great amp) and that's powered by two 750 watt server power supplies plugged into the wall. I live in an apartment complex and am scared to turn these all the way up, but they pound hard! All my friends are thoroughly impressed with the setup I have. I recommend these subs!

WOW

These subs hit hard, loud, and clear. One of the best subs I have owned. I had Clarions, Rockfords, Pyle, Planet Audios, JL W3 and many more. I do have to say they sound just as good if not better then all the subs I just mentioned but with a better price tag and higher wattage. TRUE STORY

great subs

Pros: great price, very good response, handles 600w rms, and very versital in different type and sized enclosures. Cons: none

I have three of these beasts in a ported enclosure each getting 500w rms and let me tell you they pound. Roof, windshield, and doors flex. Literally looks like my car's a chest and it's breathing. Lil tip is to get sound deadener

THESE SUBS HIT!!

After researching subs I put these on my wish list. Purchased these recently and I am 100% satisfied. I live in a cold climate and was worried about the effects to the equipment. No problems with the sound at all. A lot of bang for the buck!! Running them in a sealed box with a Hifonics 1200 watt amp and they take it and smile. Shipped on time and would definitely recommend this product. Thanks Sonic

Pioneer says it all !! Top quality sub , very efficient !!

I put this sub into a 1 sq. ft. belva sealed box . I only have room for 1 in my little Fiat 500 . I have it running on a Boss CXX 2705 5 channel amp with the gain set at about 45% at 2 ohms and it slams . I have had this sub for less then 48 hours so it is not even close to being broke in yet .. I can't wait until it is broke in so I can get its full potential . It already puts the boom into Sonic Boom !! The price is right and it out performs many high priced subs . It is well built and worth at least twice what I paid for it . Buy one you won't be dissapointed . I couldn't even imagine what two of these would sound like ? I think your ears would bleed !!

Sweet sub

I bought two of these subs to go with my 1200w rms hifonics amp, and what can I say other than that they are amazing for the price. They make my whole car shake and have not heard any distortion or problems with the subs. The only issue is that I received one of them damaged and had to send it back. But, I recommend anyone that does not want to spend $250 for a sub that has the same performance to get this sub because it is a high quality product.

UNDERRATED & UNDERESTIMATED!!!!!!!!!!!

Just recently posted a review about the TS-W3003D4 and let me tell U...... UNDERESTIMATED & UNDERRATED TO THE FULLEST EXENT. I had 3 TS-W310S4 in a sealed box ran off my Hifonics BRX1100.1.... Yesterday was experiment day..... I bought a 5 cubic feet box tuned to 34Hz from MobileSoundWorks.com last year and its just been sittin' there. Originally for 2 Sundown Audio ZV4s, I decided to test this monstrosity of a subwoofer enclosure out with just 2 of the 4 TS-W3003D4s I recently just purchased and my system sounds like it drunk some electrical tea or something because the bass did a 360. PORTS RULE THE WORLD & personally I think this box is tuned to 33.5Hz because any frequency between 36Hz & 28Hz is a $LAMMER!!!!! ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE A COUPLE OF THESE SUBS. My box is a cube too big and my subs are poundin' the f**KK out of this box with no problem. They dont over extend themselves or get real hot in this box either. U will loose the higher notes but, I LIKE LOW BASS SO, WHO GIVES ANY TYPE OF A F**KK!!!!!!! "IF IT DON'T SHAKE THE CAR OR MOVE AIR THEN, I DON'T WON'T 'EM!!!!" PIONEER FOR THE WIN, SONICELECTRONIX FOR THE VICTORY!!!!

This is an Amazing Product!

Just wow. Guys, take my advise, I've done hours of research on what to buy and I FINALLY decided to buy this one. I have it hooked it up to a HiFonics 1100 watt Super Class D amp (pushing it at 700 rms) and I cant be happier!!! I drive an 09 Chevy Impala LT and it rocks the house:) I've had it in for about one week as of Oct. 14-14 and I have had ZERO issues so far. Please, if your looking for the thump of your life, then BUY THIS SUB YOU WONT REGRET IT!

One more thing... THANK YOU SONIC AND PIONEER!

This sub is litterly breath taking .

When I first got this sub I wired at 2 ohms and with the volume at 24 out of 63 and the gain set at 45% the sound was amazing but the amp kept kicking out and got pretty hot . I checked the ohms and wired at 2 ohms ,it was actually reading 1.5 ohms and my amp was not 1 ohm stable . I rewired it to run at 8 ohms ( which was actually running at about 6.6 ohms ) and even though I am pushing about 450 watts to a 600 watt rms 12" sub I just set the gain at about 75% and played with my head unit settings and this Pioneer TS-3004D$ sub pumps out plenty of sound hitting he lows hard ,, distortion free and extremely loud !! If you get two of these subs and wire them at 2 ohms each , wired in parallel you will be able to run these at about 3ohms . I thought about sending this back and getting a dual 2 ohm sub but this one sounds so great I am just going to keep it and wait till it blows before I replace it . Sonic rocks and this is not a beginner sub , it is a high grade sub at a fantastic price ! I will buy from Sonic for all my car audio needs in the future .

roof flex

I bought three of these while they were on sale for 79.98 and I looked at every sub on this site reading reviews comparing numbers and prices and I couldn't be happier they look really clean and strong I bought a triple sealed box from sonic that was angled on the out side speakers and it was a gamble without depth dementions and sure enough they didn't fit so after having to stare at them for a week a three slot q bomb pro vented box came from carid and I was excited till my speakers didn't fit in because of the rino liner so after the jig saw fixed my holes they were in and wow I couldn't have smiled any harder they bang!!!! Plain and simple they flex my Durango's roof no problem bass level on head unit at one out of six and they bang when you get the speakers the come with all the cubic ft recommendations for every type of box my vented is 1.85 they say 1.5 for optimal sound and 2.0 for deep but yes I'm running 3 amps at 2000 max 8 ohm set up and they are intense some songs with out the windows cracked blow my ears for now till they get use to it but I promise you for the money you will not be disappointed at all I wish I could put a pic on here everyone says they look amazing and say just by looking that it has to be loud and it is

serious bang for your buck

I have always stuck to high end brands for car audio, so with me saying that I went out on a limb buying these. I was skeptical about the frequency response maxing out at 80hz, but don't worry about it. These pioneers will knock your head off and keep getting great reviews.
I couldn't be happier with these subs, and so would you. I hooked two of these up in a 2010 jeep wrangler unlimited. I used a hifonics brutus 1200 amp, wired everything to 1ohm, sealed box slightly smaller than maximum volume recommendations. When I tell you these things sound like some jl audio 12w7s, I mean just that.

Best 80 bucks I've spent..

I had a rockford fosgate p3 prior to this sub in a sealed box and that sub was really great until one of the voice coils went bad for the second time and my warranty is gone so I decided to try something different. I wanted the previous version cause I heard they were good but saw this one and took a chance with pioneer. This subwoofer sounds amazing it hit lows very well and gets loudddd sealed so I couldn't imagine ported in the correct box. I'd definitely get two if I was into dual sub setups but this gets the job done! Exceeds expectations better than the p3 in my opinion especially for the price.

Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D4

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I love Pioneer subs, i have owned many many Pioneer and Premier subs, iv also owned other brands as well.....Orion, Diamond audio, Kicker, MTX and RF. I keep coming back to Pioneer because i love their sound and design. I have a single Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D4 in a 1cuft sealed enclosure, being pushed by a Pioneer PRS-D1200M. the sub is rated at 1000 rms, i am only giving it 600 rms and it sounds amazing. I plan on buying another Pioneer PRS-D1200M and strap it to the one i have, cant wait to see what this thing can do on 1200 watts!

Anyhow, the sub hits very low, very clean and very hard, it keeps up with everything i play and can get loud too. I Listen to about 80% hard rock/metal, and the other 20% is comprised of hip hop, electronic/industrial and pop rock. This sub makes all my music collection sounds great. It is a very musical sub, with good SQ if you are a rock fan, The Deftones never sounded so good, lol. And for a sealed enclosure it can really hit hard for hip hop fans, but i hear that in a ported enclosure these things can make hip hop sound amazing. I would venture to say that this a SQL sub.

i Have a friend that has 2 Diamond Audio D6 15's, and needless to say they sounds AMAZING and get INSANELY loud. He is the guy you hate because he has the cash to buy an incredible and expensive system. But when ever he rides with me, he always says how impressed he is with how well my one sub sounds off 600 watts.

Looks, in my opinion the Pioneer TS-W3002D4 is a sexy looking sub in and out of an enclosure, but still manages to look mean. The sub is built like a tank, and is heavy as hell. The pictures do not do it justice. i love the contrast of the black mat finish of the cone against the shiny black high gloss of the dust cap. Just plain sexy!

I dont care if people can hear me from two blocks away or if i set off alarms. i just want a sub that hits hard, clean, accurate and gets loud. The Pioneer TS-W3002D4 does that and does it well. Its not the best subwoofer in the world, and its not the most efficient, it requires a lot of power to really preform. But if you put it in the right enclosure, and give it the right amount of power, you will be surprised at what this $140 sub can do. I dont thing you will find a better preforming sub in this price range, and it can hang with the big boys like JL, Alpine, and Diamond. Well worth the money!

Great budget subs, they lack on midbass, and do NOT hold true 600 watts rms

I started out with the old Premier Champ subs back in 2007, and since then I have talked up Pioneer subs. These really are good subs for shaking your vehicle, and they produce some very good lows in a proper box. They do not, however handle power that well. I originally had them (2) wired 4-ohms to a 600watt rms amp, so they were probably sharing 400 watts. No issues whatsoever, but they could have been louder (scored 137.4Db in a sealed box) so I bought a 1500 watt RMS 1ohm amp and wired them 1 ohm and holy jesus they were crazy loud, but only for a few seconds before things started to smell. I never clipped these subs, I now have them wired 4-ohm to the 1.5k amp so they should be getting 600 watts, but even then they start to smell after a good 15 minutes of hard use. Even pioneer recommends using an amp lower than the subs RMS rating. But still, 137.4 Db is nothing to be ashamed of when you are talking about $80 subwoofers. Great product. Great durability (my old premiers lasted 6 years of hard abuse on my 600 watt amp before 1 popped a VC feed wire. Now I use them for my out-door tower speakers.) I definitely recommend these for someone who want good quality low bass on a budget.

Pioneer does it right!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

Very powerful, heavy, and beautiful subwoofer as soon as I unboxed it. I used to have this in a premade ~ .75 cubic ft sealed box and I felt that it could do more. I made a custom box ~ 1.35 cu ft and it destroys my trunk even with 2 layers of peel n seal. Probably gonna need second skin or dynamat now. Pushed by an SPL GRLA5500/1D amplifier, 0 gauge all around.

Read all the great reviews and bit the bullet on a single sub in sealed enclosure (wanted fast/accurate bass). First one I received blew the whole spider assembly within minutes. Was played at very low volumes and was just checking the box for any leaks when it popped. At that point I almost gave up on this cheap sub and was about to go with a JL but it was a free exchange and decided to give it one more shot. Couldn't be more glad that I didn't give up on it! Running an Alpine PDX-V9 running 523 watts RMS (per the test card) and at just half gain this thing hits hard and is exactly what I was looking for. Has been running strong now for the past ~3 months. My goal was SQ inside the car, not annoying (to me) rattles which can be heard miles away and this fit the bill. Two of these in a proper spec'd ported box with good power should be more than enough for all but the most extreme bass heads.

When value exceeds price..That's a deal.

I've had many woofers over the years from entry level to competition. I wanted some punch in my camry, read the reviews and thought this woofer would give me just enough bass to feel the sound. paired this with the sony ZZR3301 pushing 600 rms in a ported belva box that i got all from this site, and holy SH*T! way more bass than i could have ever expected! my rear window flexes!!! all i hear is crisp clean hard hitting bass! my buddy who installed it said the sub can even handle more than the 600 rms but this system is perfect beats down the block! I am more than happy with the product and fast shipping from sonic! HIGHLY recommend this woofer especially for the price, hits harder than my old W3 fro a fraction of the price!! AMAZING woofer

More bang for your buck!!!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I bought a pair of these just to see if the revivews and vids on YouTube were true. YUP ALL TRUE! Have mine in 2 individual sealed boxes @ 1.2 cf each. With 1000 watts feeding each sub in my 1986 SS Monte Carlo and it sounds AWESOME!! Clean, pounding and responsive bass!!!

Have had them for about a week

I've only had these subs for about a week but I'm loving the quality of the sound. Remember, they are 4 ohms per voice coil so you can either do a parallel setup for 2 ohms, series for 8 ohms or a mixture of both for 4 ohms which is what I did. Installation was straight forward but the box became super heavy once the subs were installed because of the huge magnets but thats a good thing! Will update if they fail or anything.

over 1 year of abuse durability review

Ok after about a year I've upgraded from running 3 of theses subs at 500w rms to after break in of these subs to 700w rms each of clean power and they handle every bit of it but I wouldn't apply any more power in concerns of blowing them but I would definitely say they do handle the 100w rms extra to each sub as long as it's clean

EarthQuaking

These are very nice subs, I've waited over a year to post a review just to make sure they were`nt a joke. Well a year later they a still strong! I got them when they were $79.99 with only about ten reviews. I've had them hooked up to a SPL1-3400D @ 1 ohm. To be realistic that's about 750 RMS watts each, any other subs would have blown, they are in a ported box with 2.0 cu.ft. each sub. These shake my hair, nostrils, and vocal cords INVOLUNTARILY! My father-inlaw got beside me one day at a red light and got pissed! (Enough said!)

Great Sub for a great price.

Really enjoy this subwoofer. It hits notes really well. I have it in a vented enclosure (which I got from Sonics as well). Only pushing maybe 400 watts to the sub wired @ 2ohms, but it gets loud and sounds clean.

Great for rock/metal

I purchased 2 of these from Sonic to replace 2 Sundown SA 12 Subwoofers. The sundowns just werent SQ enuff for me, so I ordered the Pioneers for everyday listening. After breaking them in, I used a JL Audio 1000/1 on the pair in a 1.75 cubes after displacement per sub tuned to 35hz. The amp seemed to be to much for the pair so I replaced with a JL 500/1 and put the pair in a 4 cube enclosure tuned to 32hz and they sound great. Great value for 160 bucks and shipping was super fast. Im very happy with them. Ive only had them a month so im hoping they are durable like the subs they replaced..

This subwoofer wangs like no other. I have it in the back of my Ranger and it has knocked my rearview mirror OFF and i have it running on just 500 watts!! By far the one of the best subwoofers out there. My friend has 2 alpine type r's and this thing is just as loud. Definitely buy this sub!!!!!

Great for rock/metal

I purchased 2 of these from sonic to replace 2 sundown sa12 subwoofers. I wanted something more musical and better SQ then the Sundowns and read the review on these. They came really fast after ordering. I tried these in both sealed and ported, both with rec enclosures on a JL Audio 1000/1 and they had a hard time taking the power from the 1000/1 even though they are rated at 600rms each. SO I ended up throwing them in a 4cube enclosure tuned to 32hz and replaced the 1000/1 with a 500/1 JL amp and they sound great for rock and metal. Not so much on rap and low freq, but im happy with them for the money. Good bang for the buck. I honestly would of prefered a couple Alpine type S but they jacked up the price on them. If your not looking to spend alot, try a pair of these..

Sounds very clean, WOW!! Love them💋💁🏻

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I would totally recommend these. Installation was a breeze AFTER my boyfriend and I found a good (bridged) wiring diagram to run with---courtesy of Sonic Electronix. My original MA Audio setup (600watt RMS amp + 2x 12" 300watt RMS subs) lasted us +10 years and then finally fell apart like nobody's business (:::ahem::: from water damage from his Civic---and then further abused for maybe 5 months in my Accord) 😂😂😂. So... I went with a full Pioneer conversion; and got 2x of these bad boys paired with a Pioneer GM-9601 amp.

I was nervous about straining my OEM battery + alternator, so I upgraded to an XS Power D3400 (which I also bought from Sonic Electronix). NOTE: the (+/-) terminals must be purchased separately---as they don't come with them! I didn't do the "Big 3 Upgrade," because I had a good 4G wire from the Battery to Chassis. I will probably eventually do it as a couple's weekend project. Interestingly enough, I never experienced any dimming or anything even with the stock battery + MA Audio sound system 👀

Between the new battery and the new subs, I've added +100lbs to my car from just these mods. However, I have no regrets. 👏🏼👐🏼💁🏻

BANG FOR THE BUCKS ...NOT PATHETIC!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3001D4).

I have 1 in a 2'sq vented box with actually a 1600watt redline amp powering it(set at 1/4 power running 8ohm) and that sub rocks for the whole ride to work and back home. Amp never gets hot, sub sounds clear the entire time which is great no overheating distortion. For $125 this sub is actually a decent sub yes not the greatest but it is also not over $150. I would recommend this sub for those who are looking for clarity not setting off car alarms as you drive by. (and if you like that stuff then spend the money and get what you pay for) P>S> been installing systems for the past 17 yrs heard LOTS of speakers...........

Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D4

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I really wanted to save up and go big for my first sub, i already had 4 aftermarket alpine type r speakers in there on an alpine amp and a stock alpine 50(im pretty sure) rms 10" in da back. Kenwood headunit. I originally dreamed of an L7 kicker or my fav RE audio xxx, but for less than half the price i can get a whole setup vs just a sub. Got this cuz of a budget of 400$ with spare cash to go up in quality if needed naturally. Was skeptical about the air suspension just seems like it would work differently, i was wrong. I thought I got a crappy product because one day the sound just clipped then started making strange gurgling noises, (ended up being an electrical issue, but sonic sent me a brand new sub back:)) and sent it back a month and a half after purchasing it with a mb quart amp and some belvo wires. Got this rewired at a place downtown now it bumps so clean and hard at any volume. Have it in a sonic 1 cu ft box, want to go ported tho! Need good dimensions cuz i want it to go down to the freq bottom 20 Hz... oh well ill shut up now. Would recommend product for sure. Slaps in my honda pilot so it shakes and turns a few heads and a few flip offs. Good for thumpy bass as well as handling the long slow bass beats. Pioneer stands behind their products.

good subs questionable durability

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I have 4 of these in about 1.5 cubic feet per chamber ported box and powered by 2 sundown audio 2500d amps strapped together for 5000 watts rms @ 2ohms. It shakes everything in my blazer and im hitting in the 150's db range on term lab and db drag race with my amp at about little over half gain.
I wasnt sure of these subs at first since alot of people I know hate them and wont use them but for the price they are worth every penny.
I have owned jl w7,fosgate t2,alpine type x,orion hcca, kicker solo x and these will hang with all except the orion hcca and the solox and those other subs cost at least double the price and the pioneer's have decent sound quality but their durability is a issue and it has been for a long time since they first made the championship series I wish they would bring back the old school pioneer premiers i love those subs.

Big Sound

I have two of these in my car man do they hit if you sit in the back seat you can actually get a massage. It sounds really good I have them in a mediocre box right now but it doesn't hesitate to shake the house. I park down the street and I can still hear the bass shaking my house I feel bad for my neighbors for keeping me up with their music at night now it's my turn! But really these do not need much room to make themselves heard they are loud i like how they are made air suspended but these cannot handle more than one thousand rms for sure they will start smokin and eventually burn so keep it exact or less than 1000rms.

Solid sub for price, Decent sound, But doesn't justify tech specs

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I would only recommend this sub for people who want a small upgrade from their factory system. It does not perform like a 1000 watt RMS should. To put it into perspective a 500 watt JL audio 3w3 will outperform it by quite a bit. I Used a Phoenix gold amp that was pushing at least 900 watts. When I turned it up the amp was too powerful and the sub couldn't keep up. I would highly recommend this product for those who do not want a loud subwoofer as it is a perfect application for that use.

Awesome sub!!!!!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I bought one of these massive subs to go in the back of my 91 bronco. And got a 1cubic foot sealed box like pioneer recommends but didn't like the way it sounded ( muffled ) .. Powering with a pioneer 2400 watt mono block amp wired at two ohms .. After reading reviews I built a ported box modeled after lab slap box with 1.6 cubic feet and tuned to 34 hz. And with the amp turned 3\4 up and set at 100 hz. And head unit sub control set at 100hz also this thing is amazingly clear no matter what I listen to . I listen to a wide range of music including classic rock , metal , rap , r&b , and country and no matter the genre it sounds amazing so I would highly recommend this sub to anybody that wants to really rock out on a tight budget !!!!! I have a 2005 Honda Civic with 2 of these in a ported box. I have owned a few Premier series subwoofers in the past but never anything like this. THESE SUBS ARE HUGE! 28 lbs a piece. The pictures of these subs in no way give you any idea about the power you will need to push them. The stiffness of the cone gives the impression you could stand on them. I have 2 Bazooka mono 700 watt amps on these and they barely move, but the bass is impressive to say the least. I live outside the city limits and can be heard almost a mile away.

A great SQL sub

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

Amazing sub it has a great balance of sq and spl. I had 2 of these in a sealed box that I bought at a pawn shop and wasn't fully satisfied, so I built a custom enclosure for each one and what a difference, my entire car rattles, my teeth chatter, ear drums pop, and my chair gives me a massage that beats with the music.

Besides performing well it looks really nice (even bought the grille with it) and is very durable I am probably sending around 2.5k for both the subs and they haven't gave up on me yet. This is a great mid-level sub and the price has been dropping since I bought it so now is a wonderful time to buy one.

Overall great subs, of course being the bass head I am I want moar!

The price for this kind, make, and power of this sub is unbelievable! I'm actually saving for a car now so I can get two of these monsters in the trunk. I own a regular cab truck now and dont think they will fit anywhere other than the bed. By the looks and the rest of the reviews this sub is offer no one can refuse.

Great Speakers,Low Bass

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I own two of these subs. They drop so low and hit so hard that it's ignorant. Clear clean bass. I've had them for a couple of months. I've owned at least fifty other pairs of subs, and these are my favorite of all time.

I got 2 of these subs in a fifth order box that is ported through the rear deck in my deville and man do these things pound!!! Alot of people are hesitant when I tell them I have pioneers for subs but there jaws drop when I let them here the music get down! I will say that you have to but the better quality pioneers when purchasing subs cause if you think your going to go to walmart to get this quality then forget it.

WHAT! I CANT HEAR YOU!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I have 2 of these which I built a custom ported enclosure at Pioneers recommended size of 1.2 cubic feet apiece tuned at 38 hertz and the sound is freaking amazing. They are being fed a clean 1000 watts RMS each and when I crank it up .... I dont have the words to describe it.

Dubstep shakes my mirrors shake so much as to render them useless. Old school 2pac and biggie makes everything bounce. What more can I say?

Perfect subwoofer!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I bought this from sonic almost 2 years ago. This thing still hits as hard and as clear as the day I installed it! I have had Sony subs, premier sub, Kenwood subs and just about the whole lot... But this one has outlasted and outperformed all my previous subs. If you are hesitant to buy this, don't be! You will be glad you did. I am only pushing about 400rms to it at this time and it shakes my whole car! You WON'T be disappointed!

POWER AND ENCLOSE THEM PROPERLY recommend 0/2 gauge wire.

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

At first i went ahead and bought this sub along with an 580 RMS @ 2ohm amp thinking that i wouldnt need too much power to run these subs, on top of that I got a ported prefab box tuned to 38hz. Needless to say It sounded horrible. I listen to rock, metal, electro and dubstep. It hits decently on the long low notes but it could not keep up with the double bass pedals of drums(sounded like a ret@rded gorilla slaming something ret@rdedly. It had no high bass or midbass which left a lot of songs lacking. This was on 8 gauge wiring.

I was not satisfied at all so i went out on a limb and bought a hifonics bxi1600 amp which is 1050 rms @ 2 ohms along with an MDF sealed enclosure ALONG with the BIG 3 wiring upgrade to 2 gauge wire. BASS WAS effing amazing. It kept up with all the fast notes, played enough mid and high bass so songs didnt sound empty anymore, and it was tight clean and slamming hard. If i sat in the back with certain songs playing, (ones with tight rolling frequencies going high and low) boy it pierces through my lungs and makes it hard to breathe. With just one woofer, you can hear me comming from faaar away. Remember, its better to have a fully powered woofer than two underpowered if your planning on getting these. Bottomline, get a good amp(2000rms) and electrical system before thinking of getting 2 these.

Pioneer TS-W300D4 subwoofer benifits being kin to world class TAD brand

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

Being into HI-end home I am a fan of Pioneers TAD product line, which has set quite a few heads turning to Pioneer's TAD Reference One home audio loudspeaker $60,000.00 (this is not a misprint.)

Having built a few subs for my home and auto systems over the years, I am under the opinion that a good driver is a good driver in any environment, and in my trials, this has often been true. With this experience, I decided to try the TS-W300D4 for a home theater system I was designing for a budget restricted friend.

I built 2 boxes from 11/8' thick solid pine a little over 1 cu.ft. each. Well, we could not take any measurements, but we are used to listening to Dynaudio, REL, Focal, JL, B&W subs. It's hard to compare, because these were all in different systems, rooms, etc.

All I can say is the people that judged are used to some great systems. All agreed that for a cash outlet of $600.00 drivers and cabinets, the results are well worth money and effort. I should add this is a system designed for movies and movies in a 20 x 30 foot room.

The mains are Klipschorns; the subs are driven by a Crown K2. I think this puts out 1000 watts per side in stereo. I am sure this system would work with a 300w amp.

My bottom line FAST.

Loud and clear

So I was excited to switch to a sealed set up from a ported alpine type r. I figured that the 200 watt difference between 2 pioneers and a type r would make up for the ported to sealed switch. These subs are great and sound awesome... but only around 50-60hz did it pound it's to is full potential. Anything at 40hz or below was still there but much quieter. Still sounded amazing but I was really let down by the lack of lows.

Best sub for the price!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I have two of these, in a 4.6cu. ft. QBomb xl Probox. I recommend a larger box than Pioneer does, but it must be a ported box, bass sounds deeper and hits HARDER. I have a Brutus BEX2500w amp and extra battery in the trunk( Kinetic HC1200 ) These subs and amp are very power hungry! Extra battery is a must, no bass capacitors, they suck. I want 2 more and another Brutus, just because! BassheadRodney

Great.. for deep bass

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I expected the sub to perform mediocre when it came to higher bass notes (I listen to hiphop and EDM), but it was to the point where some of the bass notes were non-existent. The sub had no problems hitting the low frequencies with ease. For $119.99, it's still a great bargain. I have my sub mounted in a 2.25 cuft box tuned to high 30's. It's powered by a JL JX250/1 (for now).

GREAT LOWS bad highs!

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I have 2 of these and they're definitly the most powerfull subs i've ever owned. It shakes everything in my car. People hear me from blocks away. It hits the lows like you would not believe!

However, the highs are absolutely pitiful compared to the lows with this sub. I dont mind it because my front 4 kickers supply enough high bass it evens out. Plus i listen to alot of rap and techno/dubstep so deep low bass is my main concern.

I did buy the MX-3 BASS CONTROLLER and boosted all frequencies past 70 hz. That helped out A LOT still lacks a little on the high end. But makes up for it on the BRAIN SHATTERING DEEP LOW BASS.

For 100 bucks this thing is well worth the money! BUY IT

Incredible subs when coupled with the GM-D9601 Pioneer amp

I have 2 of these on the Pioneer GM-D9601 in an Atrend E12DSV BBOX ( tuned to 39 Hertz and filtered at 40 Hertz by the amp, perfect ) and they play loud and clean. Easily does 135 DB and as a daily setup is perfect. Loud and clear bass, and when setup properly, no distortion. It was just above $400 to buy all online, high quality sound and a ton of power ( 1,200 Watts @ 1 Ohm driving these subs! ) from the amp at an incredible price. Highly recommend theses subs, they literally have no competition when doing a price comparison with other equipment in the same rms class. What comes close to these in price ( I will not brand bash so do your research ) will be less efficient- lower sensitivity when compared to the 96 DB sensitivity rating for the TS-W3003D4 ) with the given rms power which means that the sub/subs that can compete would require more power to be just as loud in the same enclosure. Absolutely phenomenal subs as I’ve found out by researching and ultimately owning. Get yours today!!!

Heavy JL W3

I had a JLw3 but it fried due too my amp bass boost being set to high and my warranty expired. The pioneer championship sub is by far the best sub for value, quality in bass and sound. My amp only powers it for 500w rms though, but it sounds just as good. Too be honest this sub hits the low hz bass notes a lot better than the JL. In my opinion the bass is just as clean too. If it was on 600w rms im sure this sub would sound even better. Not bad at all for pioneer. I was'nt expecting it to sound this good.

Best BANG for the buck and three times the buck!

Hahahahaha WOW!!! I hate to be like one of these kids saying "These things SLAM" but... these things SLAMMM!!!

Four years ago I was running a Type R 12 in a custom ported box, I don't know how much wattage I was giving it, I estimated 300-400 but I could be way off since I had no way to measure, I just turned up the gain til it was loud but I knew I could give it a good bit more. Back then I thought that was the real deal.

Fast forward to now, I was researching setting up a new system but I don't want the new gen Type R, and I wanted to save money, and I couldn't find any used 2010 model Type Rs locally... and then I stumbled across this little beast.

Everything they say about sensitivity rating is so true. I just bought a multimeter to use the Ohms law way of setting gain using voltage reading, and at first I discovered that I wasn't even giving it 100 watts. What? Yeah. I am now giving it approximately 200 watts with a little bass boost and it HURTS. After breaking it in for a week or two I will go for 300 watts and I am scared of what will happen.

I have this sub in a pre-fab Atrend Bbox, the one that is 1.7 cu ft and tuned at 33Hz. I think that is pretty much perfect for this sub when you want it to really dig into those low lows. If you want it to do a little better at higher frequencies, you can go for the one that's a bit smaller and tuned to 39Hz, and apparently this sub still rattles teeth in sealed enclosures. I love how versatile it is.

This sub is musical, accurate, clear, and LOUD. DO NOT HESITATE. Also, RIP Type R.

very surprised!!!

I've had all kinds of subs, JLw3 12s, JLw6s 12s, soundstream t-3 15, soundstream t-5 12s, soundstream splx12s, kicker 15s solobaric l5s, Kove audio Armageddon 12 which was one of the loudest subs from the early 2000s and all of these subs are more on the high end side and for a fraction of the price, these subs are very comparable as far as how loud they get due do the 96db efficiency. I bought these because I saw great reviews but I was leery because I wasn't sure how credible the reviewers are, like maybe they don't know what loud can really be as far as shaking the sunroof screws loose or your taillights loose. but these subs POUND!!!! got a hifonics 1600brx amp pushing these bad boys and all together I spent only $600 for these two subs, the atrend box recommended from Sonic, the amp, amp kit and installation. in the past I've spent $2500 to have bass pumpin this loud. If you get these subs with a nice box and amp I promise you won't be disappointed at all.

Performing well and durable sub

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I'm still owning this single sub since 2011 I was posted my review here.

Before I had two pioneer champion series TS-W308d4 in 2.5 cubic feet ported box its performing well and loud but it takes to much space inside may trunk and more load weight for my car. So i decided to go for one sub can performed SQ and SPL. By chance i saw this sub champion pro here in our place at pioneer showroom. The way it's built it looks like monster sub for me so i tried to ask the sales man about it specs.. I was amaze the handling power and built then I try to lift it by my hand and wow its too heavy for one sub. so i decided to purchase it and put in 2.0 cubic feet in L ported box tuned @ 37 hertz running on soundstream amp 1100rms @ 2 ohms. I was satisfied with power but its lacking of high bass note.. I read again the reviews here and I found some one set his LPF on amp @ 100 hertz and as well on his head unit LPF @ 100 hertz. After my own adjustment some changes i heard its hitting now high bass notes not like before.

Until now still using this sub and no problem at all even hardly used sometimes.

this thing is a beast, ive always been a pioneer fan ever since i had 2 of their 5x7 2 ways in the back of a dokata put 400 watts to EACH one and they never smoked just kept on playing and it was off of a orion xtr 800.4 so it wont a junk 400 watts. I ve got 2 450 watt kenwoods on the TS-W3002D4 and it sounds great im ready to get a ported box but limited funs has me waiting. I recommend it to any serious sound craver. But You MUST have power for it if not ya might as well go a series down. I use to have 2 audiobahn alum12s in the same truck as mentioned above with a memphis 1000.1d on each in spec boxes and this sub sounds just as good and its not in a spec box. Im soooo ready to hear it in a ported spec box esp after reading the reviews. If you are looking to slam and slam rite then pick up one of these you ll be more than happy .

great sub

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I had 1 of these on a jbl bp1200.1 at 2ohm and it locked up after 30 minutes, so i got a replacment and a second 1, i am running them at 4 ohm cause my electrical cant handle the 1ohm load right now, but they bang at 600 watt rms. I have a custom built box tuned to 40hz and it is coming apart, definitely hear me before ya see me, but i will say they cant handle the full power from my amp. IN MY CURRENT BOX, they bottom out on the low notes, but at 300 rms each they hit the lows fine, i will try a smaller box and see if they can take it then.

good sub great price

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

This is a nice sub has good sq to it, as with any sub you don't just want to throw it in a off the shelf i had it in a sealed box hit lows nice, got a ported box for it and lost some lows but was definitely louder. but if you get a box specifically tuned to your taste this sub is great.

Not good

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I do not understand all of the great reviews on here about this sub. I had one in a 1 cu. ft. sealed box as recommended with a Kenwood X1200m sending 1200 watts RMS to it and it sounded like crap. Even with an optional bass boost knob, all i heard was distortion. I even put it in a bigger box hoping to get louder better bass but it only sounded good at low volumes. At anything past half volume, this sub has a very pok pok type of distorted sound. It was not up to my expectations so i upgraded to the Orion HCCA 12.4. Much better. Also much more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Honestly an awesome sub for an even more awesome price.

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I have a Sony 650 HU, Kicker KS600 Coax's, MB Quart 4x60 amp, Kicker 1200.1 (600 RMS @ 2 ohm) and this bad muhfuka right here of a sub, in a minimum rec. Ported box. I'm still adjusting the filters and gain levels, but off rip, the sub really gives an accurate, LOW bass. I am very pleased with this Pioneer sub. Ive had Kicker, JBL, JL, Alpine, and MTX subs in the past and this sub blows most of these brands out the water. No lie. Its no W7 or W6 but if you have the right settings, the right amp; and right box for this sub you will be able to enjoy deep, rich, accurate bass for a rather entertaining price. I really love the robust design, and the appearance of this sub also. If your looking for the type of bass that ppl hear down the street in the neighborhood, of the type that rattles the windows in the house when your still down the street, then get 2 12's, in a nice size ported box, with a good Kicker or JL class d amp, with at least 1000 watts and you'll have that and more with these subs, but if your like me and just want nice, low , clean bass, then a small box, 500-600watts RMS is all you need. If you don't have W6 or W7 money, buy this.

Quality Subwoofer

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I purchased this subwoofer a couple of months ago after reading several positive reviews. Previous to this sub, I owned a Kicker L5 sub/box combo manufactured by Kicker. The combo was excellent but the box was entirely too big for my SUV (due to third row seats). I was looking for a replacement woofer that could be installed in a smaller enclosurer but, at the same time, still providing me with that deep bass I was accustomed to getting from the L5. This woofer gave me all I was looking for a then some. The low notes is where this subwoofer really excels. As with any subwoofer, you must match it with the proper enclosure. I have mine installed in a 1.60 cubic feet ported enclosure (before displacement) tuned to 34 Hz. I get amazing SQ as well as decent SPL. This woofer provides the best of both worlds. I have installed many different brands of subwoofers in my vehicles so I do have a wide variety of experience and knowledge. With that said, dollar for dollar, this is one of the better subwoofers that's out there. Are there better subwoofers out there on the market??? Absolutely!! However, the performance you get from this woofer in comparison to it's price is quite remarkable. I paid $430 for my Kicker L5 sub/enclosure compared to $220 for my Pioneer W3002D4 sub/enclosure - I net the same, if not better results from the new woofer. Don't be apprehensive by the affordable price when considering to buy this sub. They rank right up there with the best of them. Do a google search and research the various reviews on them...the average reviews are mostly positive. All in all, excellent subwoofer. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Forgotten SPL

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3001D4).

Pioneer premier needs to come back. Up until a day like today. I bought these subs in 2009 and today 2021 still has them going strong. Just the rubber that has been dried out but still plays like a champion Pro. My reason is I haven't found a sub that plays like it in its league. Frequency response 18-700 Hz. Now that's some good lows to offer. Guess they forgot they had fans like me that were waiting for a comeback.
Always wanted to know why the discontinue of that golden product. Can you imagine with a sub like that? Champion series pro fans can tell when they hear one play. The bass is so unique that in quality it separates itself from the others to stand alone like a Champion PRO. And I never say that I made the wrong decision the time I bought the Pioneer Premier.TS-W3001D4. 12 years going...Great built ????????????????

Still love Pioneer subs

I've been buying Pioneer IMPP subs back when I was in high school in the early 90s. I've tried other brands, some much more expensive. I always ended up being unhappy with them and going back to the IMPP. These subs are great. They hit hard, the bass is really good, but don't hit the lows like the older ones did. It's still plenty though. They are so loud that I had to turn them down a lot because it made my ears hurt. I was going to try ported but they are already plenty loud enough for me.

More than enough bottom at reasonable listening levels.

I have this sub in a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure powered by a MTX thunder 500.1 at 2 ohms. This replaced a MTX thunder 8000 series 12 that a mean NOLA pothole ended up shorting. Compared to the MTX, the Pioneer sounds a little tinny. Did the MTX sound more natural? Yes, but it was also at a much higher price point. I listen to mostly electronic, R&B, and hip hop. This Pioneer sub can push enough air for you to feel your clothes shaking. I just wanted some solid low bottom to my music that rear deck speakers can't produce. I'll probably pick up another one of these this spring, for another system.

Teeth rattling LOUD

I've had this sub for about a year now. I've had it in 3 different boxes and 2 different amps. First amp was a GM-D8601. Wired at 2 ohms to get 500 watts RMS. The first box I used was a 1.5 cu ft sealed box. I used this during the break in period. I had loud and very smooth bass. The frequency response was flat and sounded tight for all music genres. After a good break in period, I put in a 1.5 cu ft ported box tuned at 36 hz. Wow did it ever come alive. I set the LPF crossover on my amp to 80Hz and it sounded amazing. Very clear and very loud. Absolutely no distortion with this sub. Eventually I upgraded to a GM-D9601 amp and put the sub in a 2 cu ft ported box tuned to 36 Hz. It really added that deep bass. And with the extra power, it was incredibly loud too. At first I was worried that it might sound a little sloppy in the larger box. But I raised the LPF crossover to 100 Hz to keep that tight kick drum thump. Every drum kick feels like it could stop your heart. With this set-up, it can keep up with the fastest rock songs with sounding muddy. And can also hit the lowest notes in any rap song. And it plays the lower frequencies very loud.
I never expected such quality out of a $90 sub. Nobody believes me when I tell them it's only one 12". If you put this in the right box with the right amount of power, you will be amazed. If you want a better sub, you will be paying at least double the price as this sub.

Amazing

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I bought two of these subs along with a hifonics zeus 1800.1 wired to 1 ohm and it's insanely loud. The seats give me a massage from vibrating so much. My rear view mirror falls down from shaking. It also hits extremely low. When I drive by people that have their windows down, they roll them up just to try to lessen the bass that they hear. My girlfriend says that she knows when I'm coming down her street. And it's completely affordable! My friend paid nearly double the amount that I've paid and my setup is louder than his. I have a stock battery and stock alternator and it eats up so much power that my lights dim during the night. It's almost like comparing the high output headlights with the low output headlights because it dims my lights so much. I recommend these subs to anyone that wants teeth chattering bass that will blow your mind.

Surprisingly Loud

I've read here that you really don't need more then one of these speakers unless you only want to listen to bass notes all day but I went ahead and bought two and slammed them into a T-line with two 600 watt rms class d dual amps. I'm flexing windows, and disturbing neighbors... According to my boss at work (exaggeration I'm sure) he claims he can feel the concrete vibrate when I turn up the volume a block down the street... Any which way you won't regret the purchase... Great bass at a great price....

I have them hooked up to the infamous JL Audio Slash v2 1000/1v2 and rolling down the road I attract a lot to attention. These speakers hit very hard and the bass is thunderous. Most importantly these subs can be used with the most powerful amps and will not blow. Excellent subs

Only buy from here

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I bought this sub after looking around for a sub with bang for the buck. A lot of the brands on the lower price end I had either never heard of or knew they couldnt't handle the RMS they claimed to. After spotting this sub knowing that Pioneer does make quality products along with the greatly reduced price tag to other top websites (C********, Pioneer) I had to order it and check it out. I have had this sub for 6 months now in a ported box which by the way does not need much air space at all to perform well and it has surpassed my expectations for what I payed for it, I would definently recommend this product for someone wanting a good 12" sub that performs well above the price tag.

Sounded great while it lasted

The following review is for a previous version (TS-W3002D4).

I purchased this and put it in a 1.5cuft sealed box and ran it off of a hifonics brutus amp, the sound quality was amazing as was the range. I was running it at 900Watts RMS, unfortunately a month after owning this sub, one of my voice coils decided to vaporize. I have heard from some commercial resellers that Pioneer subs sound great but often fail. I have since replaced it with an MTX TR-5510-04 at 350 watts RMS in a 3cuft dual ported box obcom box, minus the lacking bottom end, waaay louder and cleaner than this Pioneer had to offer, while ported! And it is still pounding strong a year later, unlike this pioneer. If you are thinking of being just a little cheaper on subwoofers and buying this one, don't, you will only end forking out way more after you learn your lesson the hard way.
