Eh..

My friend bought two of these hooked to a Kenwood 1800 watt amp. These subs are not even close to hitting 1200 watt. Maybe they hit 400, but they dont sound like it. My two Kicker comps hit harder than these with a 600 watt amp. 6 months later the Kenwood sub spider ripped off of the cone. Good sub, for a while, they don't bump.

Ok well I didn't order this sub I ordered the previous model and got this one so i got it half off I guess? idk ? but dude this sub hits pretty good I herd it in B*** B** and in my car and its amazing. this is my first sub i only have 1 in my car cuz i drive a 96 jetta gls, kinda small but this sub is good, i recomend this subwoofer to anyone who wants to bump.

Very Satisfying

I bought two of these subs and put them in a sealed box built to the specs given with the subs. I ran a RFL600D to these subs producing 600 RMS at 2 ohms to these subs. They HIT hard. Unfortunately one of the subs "fried". It was hard to explain but a month after install one of the subs started sounding funny so I unhooked the speakers then hooked them back up and one of the subs was permanently altered. The sub sounds OKAY in a box by itself but once i wire it up with another one..it sounds horrible. Good buy though and great performance

I have one of these in my basement. I connected it to a Lanzar Max 224 (1000w) amp and it Pounds!! if you think a cheep amp like Lanzar is not good quality, IT IS!! I couldn"t ask for a better amp for the price! If your wondering how to power a car amp in your house its REALLY EASY!!.. You need to get a PC power suply ($5) and search on Youtube: how to hook up car amp in home. theres tons of videos.

I love these subs and for the price you cant beat it, I have 2 of these hooked up to an Autotek AT1000 and wow do they bang hard for rly underpowering them but overall great subwoofer and clean deep bass as well.

I've got this baby wired to two 10" Kicker CompVR (800W RMS and 1600W MAX combined!). They're wired at 2-ohms in bridge and let me tell you, this amp can push them!

This sub is awesome, I purchased for $65 back when it was available for that price, but either way this sub bumps, I has great sound, gets nice and low, it hits a lot of different notes. I have it hooked up to my 1000Watt kenwood amp, and its a great combination. I would Highly recommend this sub to anyone!

KENWOOD KFC-W3012

I bought this sub awhile back to uprgrade from a 12" Sony explode. It's a decent sub, especially for the price you can't go wrong. Don't expect too much bump out of it. If your just looking for a good, clean , tight bass, this is a good starter sub for you. I didnt keep it very long, so im not sure on the durability of the sub, but as with any cheaper sub, dont try to over power it and you should be happy with your purchase. I would personally recommend always getting a dual voice coil sub opposed to the single just for my wiring options.

Great subs.

These subs hit very hard for the price. I have them running off of a Kole Audio amp. These have a great sound quality and I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for added bass on a budget. They have been very good with no problems in over a month of use. They don't seem to be very much quieter than a more expensive sub to me.

Good quality

I have one kenwood KFC-W3012 in a ported box in a Ranger single cab. I have a 1,200 watt amp and it hits really hard, vibrates all mirrors and me lol. It doesn't really register the low bass as well but besides that its worth the money.

Very nice sub

First off i must say that shipping took forever. As far as the amp goes its really good. Have it pushing two 12" kicker comps and they're really slamming. I heard bad things about Sony car audio stuff so i took a risk with getting this amp. It was well worth it, gives my subs some clean, rich, deep bass. I would definitely recommended this product!

i just bought two of these and put them in ported box with matchin amp and once i turned them on i was so happy. these things slap so hard and clean. they dont get that low in a ported box, but still get low none the less. buy them if u want to have a loud clean system.

Lasted only 1 year

I had this sub hooked up to 400 watt rms (1200w max) amp and it sounded amazing. its been a over a year now and couple days ago amp suddenly went to protect on low volume. At first my thoughts were on amp, but it works perfectly with a different sub. Upon test I found that this sub dropped to 0.7 ohm impedance. I don't know what caused this type of failure, but until it failed I enjoyed every minute of what this sub was producing. Sad though that it lived as long as the warranty.

This I would like to say is a very good sub i have 4 of them and to the guy who put 1800w kenwood that amp is 900rms that would be 450 to each sub if the amp is not turned right so ignore his comment and buy the great subs!

Best Speaker Ever

For those who haven't used this speaker before I can sum it up in one word "Wow" I installed it in my sons 58 vw so let me tell you this speaker rocks.

12" kenwood sub

This sub hits hard. And is better than the 3011 because it has a thicker coat so it doesn't crack.

Loud!

These subs are loud! My friend has 2 of these in a ported box hooked up to a kicker zx 400.1 amp. Thats only 200 rms a piece. They grab at my throat. I also owned the older versions of these and they were great. This is a really good price for the quality you get. If you dont wanna spend a lot and just want to be loud, get these. If you are a sound quality type of person, you may wanna look for boston, alpine, or JL.

Not a bad amp if you're on a budget.

I bought this amp in May 2009. I mainly got it to power a 10" Kenwood KFC-2511 300W RMS 4-ohm Subwoofer and it overpowered it quite easily in bridged mode. I blew the first one within 24 hours, but I didn't know how to properly tune the amp and went back and exchanged it for a new subwoofer. It then powered two Kenwood KFC-2506's wired in 8-ohms and this this pounds. I'm buying a new amp and subs, so this will go into my other car. Great amp if you're on a budget.

Great!

I own 2 12" KFC powered by a 2000.1 crunch amp. and these woofers pound in a custom ported box under the back seat of a Silverado I lifted 4".. I have to Dynamat everything.. I recommend these subs if ur looking for a good bang for your buck.. soon I am upgrading to Alpine TypeX but these subs held up everything i wished for at the time!

Amazing for the price

Before i got my new car i had two of these in a sealed enclosure hooked up to a kenwood 1800 watt amp... i first got them because they were cheap but i was soon surprised that they sounded better than my 2 ohm kenwood eXcelon... They hit hard and i mean hard... i cant wait until i upgrade the electrical system in new car so i can put these back in... And i abused them i ran them hard for hours at a time and they held up great!

its ok

i bought this amp somewhere else and i have 2 12" pioneer ts-w302r subs at 2 ohms and this amp pushes them very well, but the down fall is that it gets hot very quickly and it shuts off after playing for 20 minutes and the amp is only turned half way up, so this amp will be ok if you play it for a couple minutes but i would not recommend this amp to anyone.

BA Subs!!

These subs are F'ing hardcore. I have them running on a Nitro BMW-482 Amp and they hit extremely hard. I can hear the bass from one end of my property to the other side (5.5 acres btw) really well. If you get these subs you won't be disappointed. There cheap and the best for the price no doubt. Great for anyone who is starting to get into car audio.

Thumpers

I just installed these into my accord with a sealed box and an 1800 watt kenwood amp...these bump HARD. kenwood makes some of the best subs, and these subs are a perfect example of that. Very strong, and durable.

Great product

I used this kit for one Alpine Type R 12 with an MRP-M500 amp and it works perfectly! I don't know if it's true 8 gauge, but I'm sure it's not more than 10 gauge. Been using it for a month and haven't had any problems.

hold ALOT OF BASS

I have 2 of these hooked up in a old school grand marquis wit a 1800 watt kenwood kac-9104D amp with a ported box and they hit HARD. I have pushed these subs 2 d max an haven't had any trouble wit them at all they can hold a lot of bass, if u kno wat u r doing u wont have any trouble wit these at all, unless if u put dem in a sealed box den u would (I've blown 1 b4) an it even hit harder den i have expected. i would recommend anyone 2 buy this sub at this value u cant beat it.

i would recommend this sub. these things hit pretty good for the price, blew them because i put waaaayyyy to much power to em, but they took the abuse like a champ for awhile

Clean bass, great price

Very nice bass, good build quality, and decent thump. Great sub woofer for an entry level sound system. Not for SPL but, nice all around bass. I like it but I will soon be upgrading to Kenwood Excelon 12" woofer. Best bang for your buck

i bought four of these with a boss 2000 watt class d mono and let me tell you, i put them in my accord and holy s*** they POUND! i would recommend this set up to anyone who wants a system that cracks windshields.... literally i'm on my second cracked windshield! no joke!

This box came as part of a package deal I bought and I was really impressed with the quality. It produces great sound from such a small box. I have a Kenwood 400 RMS 1200 Peak 12" sub in it and it sounds superb. It hits clean with no distortion.

Best Woofer ever Bought

This the least amount of money I've ever spent on a woofer.....6 months later I can say this the best woofer I've ever had.....hands down. And if I recal Sonic had it here fast too. Overall......all good.

SLAMS!

I love this sub. I've had this puppy in my car for a year now and it still blows my mind! With a custom built ported enclosure (by yours truly) and a smart tuner, this thing will move mirrors. People say it blows, but that's because when you first get it it takes about a week to break in, and people don't know how to PROPERLY break in a new sub. But definitely a great sub for price! Looking to add more power though, my amp is a little engine that could and it just doesn't have that UMPHH. Other than that, great choice!

You Cant Beat It

These subs are great for the money, I installed 2 of these in my 02 Altima with a 1100 watt Sony D Class amp running about 250 watts rms (each) in a sealed box and they THUMP HARD!!!! i have the amp set half way and they are crystal clear no distortion at all. I have the pioneer-pdvd3200bt with the 8 curve eq which makes it easy to tune your system.. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!!

These subs are great! My brother bought one at b*** b** for around $140 and you can get one here for $65! They can't be beat for their price either. I can't say anything bad about these subs.

Great Amp For me

I have used this amp for over three years, I had it pushing two Rockford Fosgate P2s, pushed them verrryy nice, did shut off like twice, After those 12s were stolen :/, I had it pushing a 12" Rockford P3, which is worked soo good, never shut off, or overheated. Now I have it, yes a 800 watt amp, pushing three 12" kicker comps. Pushed very well. It does get hot, but hasn't cut off. Great amp for the price.

Good for the price!!!

I have had these subs for about a year now. and man do they pound..i have 2 of them but only running off of a kenwood kac-8104d which feeds them 500 rms(250 a piece) so i am under powering them but they still beat very hard. I'm waiting for a new line of subs from kenwood, but i am getting a hifonics 1610d amp to push these babies at 1100 rms. im gonna see what they can handle!!

Nice low-priced amp

Surprisingly good sound and power quality for a Sony. Bought this amplifier in a hurry before one of my car shows installed it to run my interior speakers that was over a year ago I never had ANY issues with it at all

KFC-W3012

I put three of these in a Ford Ranger, sealed box and a Power Acoustik BAMF 2000/1 and these hit so nice in the truck. You cant see straight when you get in. These slam.

Slaps

this sub when paired with another hits hard, i have a convertible mustang GT and when the top drops you can still feel the bass. The only thing that i would advise is to have only 100watts max over the rms. thanks sonic electronix

Good Value on a well made box

This box has a very sturdy feel to it. I have just one gripe, I suspect that two of the side panels are not actually of a 3/4th thickness. Not a huge deal for such an inexpensive box though.

Wow...what a wiring kit!

Included in a bundle, you'd expect it to be crap quality. Everything, from the fuse to the wires to the rca's, very nicely done. No complaints at all. Provides clean power to the amp without issue!

good replacement sub box

I purchased this sub box to fit in the trunk of my suby. The box is made sturdy and has decent acoustics for the it size. One suggestion: make sure to reseal the inside of the box, so that there is no air escaping in unnecessary places.

Awesome Subs for a perfect system

I have 2 of these paired with an SPL Gorilla 2200 watt 2 channel amp ported in my jeep. these subs hit hard! i have the loudest subs at my school and among my other audiophile friends. I would highly recommend these subs for any audio enthusiast. The bass is clean and extremely loud when i want it to be.

Kenwood Sub

This is an extremely good sub. The sound quality, especially on a middle bass setting on a stereo with a middle boost setting on the amp gives the sub a very smooth sound. Cranking this sub to the max is not a good idea because the sound becomes very distorted and gross, but that is to be expected from any sub. After owning this sub for 6 months, the sound quality is still as good as the first time I heard it.

Blown

I have had these subwoofers for a few months ago and about a month ago i noticed a rattling sound coming from one of the subs. i took it to my local audio store and it is blown. the voice coils overheat very easily and are not for long time playage. i would recommend a dual voice coil even if it costs more. you will get more play time from them

Great bass

great subs especially 4 da price! i got these 4 my 1991 thunder and it shakes my mirrors like a muthaF@$%A i recommend them i've been having them 4 about 4 months and i have had no problems at all.

Great subs for the price. Got each of them on 300 watts rms in a 2.5 cubic ft. ported box. Hit pretty hard kinda hard to drive when its shaking your eyes lol. You can hear from about 2-3 blocks away if your outside your car.

Awesome Subs

These are awesome subs i just hooked up a pair of them with 900rms and they hit hard even with that much wattage they are very accurate and very loud for the price you can't beat them definitely my favorite subs i've ever owned

fairly good subs

when i bought these i was a little worried about how these subs would sound considering they were only $60... car audio has been a hobbie of mine for some time and have gone through sever pairs of speakers trying to find ones that sounded good and fit my needs i found most cheap speakers to be utter junk but i just installed two of these in a vehicular specific sealed box using the 1800 watt kenwood amp wired for a 2 ohm load they are getting about 450 rms which they are only rated at 400 but i have had no problems at all... i also found that the frequency rating is a bit off i found they were able to produce 30hz- roughly 400 hz with out distortion... i have the amps gains set and the bass boost off and the decks sub volume set to 0 and they still shake my entire car easily... the only flaw i have found is they are not able to keep up with super fast bass as in some techno songs but its a small flaw and most wouldn't notice... overall if you want to shake windows and set off car alarms these subs might not work for you but they sure add decent bass to your system for pretty cheap

Good amp for money

This was my first amplifier back in December. I have used it in many applications, from a Dual SBP10 that it killed, to two Alpine S-10's in various enclosures, and now high-passed and running my cabin speakers on an 8-ohm load. This amp is a good starter amp; not very good for loud bass though. It takes a ton of abuse though. I have never had it cut off or anything, even when it got hot enough to burn my hand (running slightly dirty signal at 2 ohms per channel back in my clueless days.) I would recommend this amp to anyone looking for a cheap amp for a small sub, or to power your cabin speakers.

(For the record, this amp is now pushing one MB Quart EKA-113 and one Alpine SPS-690A per channel, wired to an 8-ohm load. My guesstimate of current RMS power is 70wX2, giving each speaker 35 watts. It sounds nice and clear, although the high-pass filter doesn't have a steep enough slope for my liking [the speakers still move like mad on the low notes] but no problems thus far.)

Purchased these about a week ago and got them installed two days ago. have them in a ported box W36 x H14.5 x D16 with the port being 1.5 inches wide for each sub. Even though they arent broken in yet they are still sounding great. So far have outlasted my previous kenwoods (kfc-w3011) that blew after a day with my current amp. Overall these are great subs, can hit the low notes but has nice tight punchy bass even in a ported box.

Amazing

This amp has a lot of power to be Sony. i have it bridged, with a MMATS p3.0 in a bandpass box and my system bangs. It hits hard and deep, strongly recommended when looking for an amp for a low price.

The price was nice an affordable holds my 12''s nice no air leak no complaints. Was kind of skeptical at frist but now glad I brought them

Decent entry level

For an entry level setup, not a bad wiring set. I did have a few problems with the solderless terminals provided and ended up using some I purchased separately and just recently one of the RCA ends has come apart requiring some fine work to remove the bit from the amplifier.

Wrong Box

I can't comment on the Absolute box because Sonic sent me their generic version of it that didn't have the polyfill on the insides or the absolute sticker on it. The sonic one worked just fine other than one terminal showing up broken. Luckily I was wiring up at 4 ohms so only needed one input. Overall, decently constructed for the price and of course free shipping.

Not enough

Why is it that amp wiring kits never come with enough ground wire? Besides that I would not recommend this kit. The wire is good quality but if your like me and want a stable supply of power to your amp then I would get a thicker gauge wire. This came with a package deal I bought and the amp is only 400 watt. This is not enough to keep up with the power requirements of the amp. I've done the big 3 upgrade and cleaned up all my connections between the alt, battery and amplifier and am running a 100 amp alternator and still have issues with my amp. The only thing I have not done yet is replaced the amp power cable with a 4 gauge and I am positive that this will correct the power consumption issue.

I have two of these in my f150 and the slam. I have them powered at about 300 rms. 6 months later and there good as new. about to ad a 3rd maybe a 4th. good buy for the price. cant be beat.

6 months ago I purchased several items from Sonic including a KFC-W3012 Kenwood sub. I couldn't be happier with the system or the vendor. My only regret is that I didn't purchase two of them. In the future I would prefer to buy from Sonic whenever possible.

Connect the sub to an amp KAC-7204 and you have a good combination for a clear and relatively powerful!

i have one of these hooked up at only 200w rms and it still sounds great! adds great needed bass to all your songs and just fills that void. also gets pretty loud and has some nice excursion. has some trouble with the low notes due to higher freq response but still sounds great everywhere else. very nice subwoofer. i would recommend them to anyone.

Yeah i owned this amp for like 5 months its good for 2 12s only anything else its going to over heat but its a lot of power like the other but if you trying to get 3 12s i dont think this amp is for you.

good subs for the price

I owned 2 of the previous model 12's and 2 of the 10's and they were a pretty decent buy. I was running about 300 watts to each of the 4 subs and they hit pretty well. They never set off any car alarms but 2 of each in a sealed box if you have the room is a good way to go for nice clear punchy bass.

this is a great sub for the money. hits very hard to. i have one of these in a 2002 explorer hooked up to a 300 watt amp and it still hits really hard. my friend also has 2 of these subs hooked up to a 1000watt sony amp in a 2001 acura rl and you can hear these comin down the street and when your sittin in the car it just blows your mind

NASTINESS!!!

ive heard the older models the kfc-w011 hit and damn did they slam..yah they were in a suv so in a normal car it wont hit just as hard but still..def impressive for the money..i just ordered two 3012's for myself and set up the trunk...just waiting for that deeeep bass too get here...def recommend them tooo anyone and everyone..

Great Product

Kenwood does it again, I purchased these to replace my boston G5s to get rid of a little weight in the trunk. Let me tell you my system sounds so much better with kenwoods, I have them running off a KAC-9104D. You cant go wrong with these subs when the SQ is so much better then the boston acoustic G5, you do the math.

Not true 8awg

If you only have to power a 200 watt amp or so then its okay but if you have a 500 watt amp i would not recommend this kit... True power ratings not your "peak" ratings either.

Great package

An all inclusive package of what you need to install a subwoofer/amplifier system to your car/ truck.

Main power cord was almost not long enough for my car. I ran the cables from the driver's side in the engine bay, then through the firewall on the passenger side back through the side floor panels to back behind my seats on the drivers side. (I couldn't run the cable through the driver's side firewall due to the fact that I didn't want to drill it to run the cable).

I recommend you find the path you are going to run the cables and make sure it's going to be long enough before you buy your cables.

Great deal

Comes with just about everything you need. BUT, if you are running a 4-channel amp to 4 seperate speakers you will most likely need more speaker wire. Other than that its good and gets the job done with no overheating wires or anything.

Great Sound

i bought these a while back from sonic. These pound and sound great. make my car rattle. i have to dynamat or whatever the use to sound deadning stuff. but its a great buy. i would recommend to anyone

This package has everything you need, very high quality, and very organized, comes with plenty or components, and I still have some left over.

Decent kit

I am not sure if this is a true 8 gauge kit, but it is not far off. I upgraded to a beefier kit, but this came with lots of speaker and power/ground wire and decent connectors. For the price it is a good kit,and will get you bumping but if you have a lot of money invested in a nice setup just stick with the more expensive wiring.

I would recommend it, I bought two for my friend and he could only use one cuz that's all he had the boxes for, I heard him from Hal a block away, then he threw his jacket on it, thank goodness he had a second one...still pounded, I'm using it now and it's amazing sound quality

I would not ever buy these again there a waste of money bought a set with a 1800 watt kenwood amp and after 30 days I had to have them replaced. the rubber surround keeps ripping. good speaker if you really dont want to bump

Kenwood KFC-W3012

Bought one of these, have it bridged at around 400 watts RMS @ 4 ohms. It sounds so sick. It hits hard, and it hits the notes very crisply with little to no distortion at higher volumes! Would recommend to anybody!!! I was very blown away at the quality of this sub!

BUY IT!

all i can say is that this subwoofer can pound, and for the price it is very much well worth it. i questioned it at first but when they were hooked up, it was like heaven for your ears, they have the perfect sound.

i bought the 2 sub amp combo i put them in the back of my 95 jeep cherokee and they hit hard and loud ive had buddys who spend way more on there subs then i did and theses sound much better, for a very good price theses r the way to go...i used the crap out of these subs commuting 4 hrs a day to and from work and they r durable to all music haven't had a single problem with them

I have one of this subwoofer's with a pioneer amplifier bridged to 360 rms in a ported box , on 2003 gmc yukon (factory stereo w/bose ) sounds really good , 2 or 3 BLOCKS away, nice and clear. I RECOMMEND THIS SUBWOOFER FOR ALL PEOPLE .

Good all around subs

Bought these to match with a Pyle 2K watt amp. They work well and have a good range for the price. No problems after 1+ years of use and still hitting hard.

decent subs!

i did tons of searching all over the internet n i came up with about 5-6 different pairs i could have gotten. all the other ones were less watts for more money

but dude, these subs BEAT! i can turn them up as loud as i want to and they never shut down. all you gotta have is the right sized wire/fuse. i highly recommend these subs. absolutely fabulous for the price.

Great subs, I have a pair of them with the Kenwood KAC-7203 and they get busy. I've tried to match up everything Kenwood, they've cam a long way.

Decent Box

Overall this is a decent box. It's pretty sturdy and the sealing is alright. The only complaints I would have is the carpeting job is pretty poor, lots of lines. Also, the metal clips inside the box for the wire are a little flimsy and an odd size. But in the end not a bad bang for your buck.

Cheap materials

I got this with a sub amp package from sonic and i didnt really think much about the wiring kit. its just wires right? NO. the installer refused to use these wires because they were so cheap. theres not plastic surrounding the copper than copper wire itself. its dangerous and could catch your car on fire if used. DO NOT BUY.

Solid Box, Solid Price

Box is exactly what I needed. Great size for my subwoofer specs. Best price I could find. Could use quick connects on back, but it's not a big deal.

i have 2 of these subs with an 1800 watt kenwood amp and i have one of the best systems in my area. im only 18 and obviously i know how to tune systems to sound good and obviously some people arent very smart. u cant just have one 1200 watt 400 rms sub. to an 1800 watt amp.

Works great

Cheap and does what it's supposed to. True 8 guage wire. The little zippered case it comes in is great for storing all my leftover install stuff and fuses in.

i have 2 12" of this boys they are decent. if you looking for something decent this is it. but im actually thinking of purchasing 2 more so i would have the sound i want on my truck. oh by the way it have a good kick.

Awesome sub for the price!

This sub is of superb quality for how cheap they are selling it. I own two of these, two Kicker Comps, and two MTX Thunder 5500 and this sub pounds! It is very loud and accurate.

These subs are definitely worth the investment if you are looking for something cheap. These have the quality of my MTX's for half the price! Definitely a MUST BUY!
