The wiring has done me right so far but the only thing I don't like is the speaker wires. You have to carefully split it so the wire doesn't show. Other than that minor thing everything was great and a great value!

the price is right for this setup. the ground wire and the power wire are to big for my amp but i made them fit. better to have to much than not enough so if i upgrade to a larger amp it will be fine.

I run 2 12inch audiobahn exursions on this amp and it pushes them very well. The size is perfect not to big and fits right unerneath the seat or small space. The best part is it stays pretty cool even after running most the day.

I like the wire kit I got with my amp it seems to be holding up goo it handles the power of the amp I got but I would of gave it 5 stars all the way around but I wold of like the ground at less 2 more feet for good use but over all its a nice kit

Solid Box

this box is pretty solid. i have had it for around 2 months now and its workikng great with my two alpine type s. it feels well bilt and looks nice with the shiny front part.

Great Subwoofer

Hi all,

I bought a used older model of the P3 but instead was sent the brand new Punch P3D212! So anyways, I have this in a 2.2-2.3 net cubic foot box tuned to about 30 hz and this thing slams in the 35-40hz range. It just goes bananas and sounds great as long as the amp you are using is clean. If this is one of your choices for a subwoofer, you will not be disappointed, however I know this isn't the best subwoofer ever.

The ONLY thing I would look for is that the glue connecting the spider to the cone began to crack, causing a rattle in the subwoofer, but I put some CA glue as well as GOOP around that area and all is well now.

My friends all have two twelves in their car, but i just have one of these in a ported box and they dont even compAre to mine.

P3s are Loud!

These subs are loud for only having 500 watts rms slamming into them. I have these in a 1.85 cf box with a slotted port tuned to 35hz. I can get any drink any size that's in my cup holder to dance around quite nicely.

Not even a couple days after bumping two gto jbl in it the carpet started to split... But overall I like the bezel- but only because I paid close attention to diameters and measurements of subs I bought compared to this box's measurements. Would be better if they made it to where you could wire in a series the correct way.

Pounds hard

Using with a power acoustic rz1-1500 and it pounds. Only running at 4 ohms and it's pounds harddd! Will be looking for another one for my truck soon.

I had already had two 12's JBL in my car with a weak MTX amp and it was okay when i put my music all the day up. But these bad boys, they are so different, i have two 12's P3D2 and running on a rockford amp punch 1000bx1d something like that and everyone can hear it. I have to put it at -30 bass just to so my rear mirror wouldnt move. But overall great! I would check if the sub fits the box if you are trying to put it in an older box.

Okay i have 4 d2 p3 12's in a 4.0 cubic ft seal box tune at 35hz and they are hook up to the t1500.1bdcp.and i got i got them at 1ohm and they are getting 1950 rms on a 1500 amp thats crazy so any one thats thinking of getting these babies get them and a cea amp so it do what it says and trust me u wont be disappointed

Ok. not the best kit.

The eyelet connectors are flimsy and the speaker wire is hard to separate. When it does it exposes some of the copper. Otherwise the kit is ok.

Nice box

Nice box but once I put the speakers in it the front fence of the speaker box wouldn’t fit over the speakers the holes were to small so I had to pay to get the face trimmed

Good product , but not enough speaker wire to wire two front door speakers in a scion xb. I guess it would have been enough if I had run one of them with the power wire instead of running on the other side of car, but everybody knows that's a bad idea due to engine noise. You would think they would take that into consideration. Also not a big fan of the square and round speaker wire very hard to separate and strip without exposing bare wire.

Bought this kit for my 650 watt rms amp. Not true awg 4 guage, but close.jacket is pretty thick.all wires flexible. Reached under the back seat of my 2008 silverado crew cab. But not a whole lot of slack if your going to a trunk. Fuse is ok... ive seen better and worse. Bottom line, if your on a budget and running 800 rms or under, this will work fine.

Most Bang for the Buck!

I've been installing systems in my cars since I was 16 years old. I'm 41 now, and my sound preferences have changed. I always had multiple subs with lots of boom, but now I just have a single P3. The sound output from this sub absolutely blows my mind. If you are lookin for hard hitting, punchy loud bass, your gonna want P3s in your ride. For the price you just can't beat them.

This sub pounded

I bought this sub a while back and it was really loud for a single 12. It was on 600 watts rms and in a sustom box it my car. Ive never had a problem with it. The oversized cutout that Rockford Fosgate has may result in you needing a custom box just for the baffle.

Great wires!!

After reading reviews and most importantly watching the video Sonic posted with this product, I decided to give it a shot for my Cerwin Vega VPAS-12. The wires are exactly as described, true 4 gauge, not all insulation like the other brands. The fuse block is solid and easy to set up. I was worried it may not fit the VPAS connectors since they mention 8 gauge, but it works and it is holding in no problem.

The only thing I did change was the actual battery and ground terminals, they seemed weak, so i chose something stronger and all is well.

Great Musical Sub

This sub is terrific. If you want some good sound quality to go with your deafening bass, this is the one for you. I blew one of my Alpine Type R subwoofers and decided to replace it with one of these.

While the Alpine type R might play a micron lower, the RF has more detail to it. (its $30 less, too !) Maybe its the aluminum cone. I wish I had two of these, If I ever blow the Alpine, I am running out and buying another RF.

Loud sub low price

Extremely surprised at how loud & boomy this sub is for the price I paid for it. Had a ported box built to specs & this sucker gets loud. Pretty big magnet so expect to build custom box. Only downfall, with ported box it often can exaggerate some bass notes but who's mad at having extra bass

12" dual 2 p's are amazing

I have these 2 subs in a sealed box because I'm limited to space in the trunk of my 2012 Malibu. I got the box from Sonic also. they sound amazing. I have them being drove by the t1000-1bd and the 2 are a almost perfect match. The only reason I say almost perfect is I'm scared to turn the bass gain up until I break the subs in. I was at bat between buy 2 of these subs or 2 alpine type r's and I'm not disappointed with my choice by no means but I can't speak for the type r's. I can tell you that you will not be disappointed by these subs than sound amazing...

Im runnin 2 of these subs in a sealed box on a hifonics zeus 3000 watt amp and it will get dumb loud. Iv never had the first problem out of these subs except they cracked my box. I run them every day and they don't get hot and never miss a beat they hit high bass good and the lows are incredible they made a big crack in my windshield. I love these subs ans don't plan to replace them unitl they go out with 2 t2d212s.

I had the subs for about 4 months. In that time I put them through 3 different boxes until I found the 1 that worked the best with them. I had them wired to a usamps md1d Merlin mono block 1200w rms/ 2400w peak competition amp. Ran them in competition and hit a solid 138db without even trying. Great sub for the price, would recommend to anyone who wants a decent sub for a great price.

These subwoofers are so amazing when compared to the previous models. I have a single 12" in a 4.0 cu.ft. custom box that is tuned to 35Hz. As a result of the large port area, the sub gives an extremely low, deep, clean bass! It absolutely bumps even when underpowered. So as far as spl goes, well. You figure it out.

Just hooked it up today to my old school Power1000bd @ 4 ohms. I got roughly 520W RMS going to it (when amp is all the way up). It's halfway and this thing hitsss. It surprised the hell outta me. Upgraded from hx2's big difference recommended to everyone who loves clean tight bass.

Great bang for the buck

I bought 3 P3's and a hifonics zrx3000.1D from this site couple months ago..Great sub for the money..I have it in a probox Turbo 3. 12 box...These subs are loud and do hit hard..cracked my windshield within 1 month..maybe I'm just a bass head, but they don't really hit the lows like I want..Cant wait to up grade next year to the T2D2..thats gonna be slammin...Still awsome subs (P3's) for the price

Great but

I love the p3 line from rockford but the pvc boot is not a good add on, yea it looks good if u invert the sub but it also can cause more heat build up. Other than that i think it solid but I don't know if these are as good/reliable as tje 500 rms older models (light grey cone) those could take some power for long periods.

Good sound but no durability

I have owned two of these now, as an upgrade from my old cheap subs. The first one blew after about a month. After some research into the box, it appeared that, due to some moisture in the box, it was possible that was the cause. So we bought another, made a custom box (what was recommended by RF, by the way) and made sure everything was sealed properly so this wouldn't happen again. I owned the sub for about 2 months. No issues. I noticed it would heat up rather quickly, but nothing too major. One day, on the way home, I was running the sub around 75% or so and it managed to melt a coil. It was broken in quite well.

At this point, although I was impressed with the sound/price ratio, I will not be buying another sub from them. Melting a coil like that should not happen once, much less twice.

Dissapointing!!

I've only had this sub for 3-4 weeks and I have blown it. My local audio shop checked everything and they have no clue why it would have blown.

This is a great product. Looks good and sounds even better. I bought two of these and I am using the t1500-bdcp amp to run these. Bangs so hard but is nice and clear. Provides great bass and would recommend to anyone.

Very Loud

I have 2 RF's in a sealed box and they sound like anything else equivalent in a ported box. I have actually had to turn the amp and the deck bass down just to be able to hear the words in some songs. Definitely recommend.

rockford fosgate p3d2-12

Man, I had the older versions before, and they burnt out on me. So, Sonic gave me credit and a discount on these, and man they hit stupid hard. I just need a better amp than the Boss amp I have, 'cause I know they have more potential. I am straight with these 12"s. Oh yeah, make sure you have a strong box, 'cause they will break your woofer box apart. That's how hard they hit in a 2003 nissan max.

GREAT BOX

Great box. It arrived almost an entire week early to my APO box (pretty impressed) and in perfect condition. My Sundown Audio SA 12's fit perfectly in the cutouts. This box slams with the SA's running at 1500w RMS. No port noise and plenty of punch in the lower frequencies. I would definitely recommend this box to anyone running a medium sized setup like mine. I did have a little issue getting it in the trunk of my E39 BMW but nothing to complain about.

RF P3D2-12

The RF P3 is second only to the JL W3 in it's class. The W3 has better SQ (slightly) but as you might expect the P3 offers more brute power-. more than enough for a daily driver and it is tougher built and a much better value. To me the RF P3 offers more of what having a sub is all about.

Kicks ass

I have two of these in a bass pro box and have ran them from 4-.5 ohms on 1200watts and 400/800/1200 RMS (on a Memphis 1200.1) and they hit hard and have just an all around satisfying sound and can take abuse (.5 ohm pushing 1200rms.. Blew a fuse before they even got hot) have had them for almost 2 years now still going strong going to hook them up to a brx1100, only thing I don't really like is the lower RMS rating makes it a little more difficult to find an amp to match ratings with but they can handle 800rms all day long as you're not abusing them on full bore constantly

So the 16 year old off spring has these in the parent pisser offer. My goodness! The bass is so loud. It massages the heart muscles. The lows are low and just keeps going. I am a 43 year old bass head. Matched up with the Rockford 1200, you can't go wrong. Like I said, your innards will feel the BASS! My kid tries to tear them up and can't. Love it sounds great. Have only one in my cab of my 03 quad cab ram 1500 and ppl ask what I have and how many. Just one P3 at 1 ohm 800 rms. Rear view mirror is point less so get used to not looking out it. If your looking for sound and limited to space just one will do you but I'm getting a second one, space is over rated. I want to shack the car next to me more.

Deep bass

I replaced two p2 12s with the p3s and they sound similar to the p2s only a little better low-frequency response and more punch with the foot bass can't wait to break them in. I'm running them with the same amp I used for the p2s, for now, that is only 800rms but sounds amazing In telling I upgrade the amp I will break them in with my old one.

Definitely a step up

I just installed a set of P3D2-12's in my 2017 Ram 1500 crew cab. They replaced a set of Infinity Kappa 120.9W's. While the Kappas sounded good, the fosgates are definitely a step up. The magnet is almost 2x as large as the kappas, and the deep bass response is greatly enhanced.
Also, the mounting system/grille cover system is well thought out, and gives a professional install look. Sonic delivered a competitive price, fast 3 day delivery, and everything in one box. I will continue to purchase my audio equipment from Sonic.

Pretty good for the money

This sub is pretty nice and I would recommend it although I haven't had it for very long. It seems well made and hits hard for a single 12 and the price isn't bad. I'm running this off my rockford 750.1d @ 1 ohm. Although it sounds very good and is most definitely loud, I have decided to get the T1D212 sub instead to keep up with my door speakers and tweeters. My component door and tweeter speakers get 100 RMS watts each so that's 400 total and they absolutely SCREAM. Subs need more power than mid speakers and tweeters so I would double the total RMS of whatever speakers you have to get a sub or subs that can keep up so I'm going with the 800 watt T1. If you are running less than 85 watts per channel for speakers this sub will absolutely hang with it.

Rockford Fosgate Punch P3D2-12

Recently purchased this subwoofer and installed in a sealed box built to the manufacturers specs. Right out of the box I was impressed with the build quality, it really just feels solid and beefy, really stiff suspension, good construction of all the seals. It has amazing sound quality too, very tight and accurate bass for the music I listen to like rock, metal, occasional industrial and techno. This is from being installed in the trunk of a sedan, facing forward into the back seats. I plan to purchase a second one as well just cause I like this one so much, they’ll make a great pair. I definitely do recommend this sub if you’re looking for something that delivers better than the basic entry level subs.

Too strong!!

After purchasing it i was looking for some deep bass, but never have I imagined that it would be this loud and this strong. I still have it in the break in period, but when i listen to hip hop i turned the volume 40/60 on my head unit and it is incredible how loud this thing is... I played a several songs, but then the next day, my ears were all fuzzy and feeling bottom line uncomfortable... if you purchase this sub, with a proper amp, you must be careful. it is full of power... now when i look back, i should've gone with a 10" or maybe even with the prime series... btw, i have it in trunk of my hatch...

Sounds like two 12s from a small enclosure..
No subsonic on amp but does sound clean.
This sub could handle more wattage.. I think it can easily go to 800rms with no issue!!

Solid construction and looks great

On initial glance look like a good box. Once I dug deeper I could see the construction was very solid. It definitely has some good weight to it. The speaker rings fit the subs perfectly. Great value for the price. I can't find any complaint.

Bout this box to house two of the new Alpine Type R 12’s. The cut outs on face plate of the box is a little too small for the subs to fit (if you keep the rubber ring surround on the subs). So mounting was difficult. After fighting with it for a while they worked out. Sounds great.

I would definitely recommend these to anyone that is wanting a great high quality speaker and a very good price. I have 4 of these in my toyota and they are even better than i had expected.

Rockford Fosgate P3D2-12

These subwoofers are definitely a cut above. I have them installed in a custom cabinet that fits under the rear seat of my 2017 Ram 1500 crew cab. Even with only 1 CFT of airspace each, the base is tight, and I really can't turn them up to their max level. SQ is great, and the metal grills definitely give a finished look. I regret they were not the first pair of subs I purchased.

Best Box for the Price

This box is such an amazing value. It looks amazing and is constructed very well. The only complaint is that I had to resize the cut out for my subwoofers to fit. But overall it is an amazing value and I would definitelt recommend to a friend.

Man this thing is awesome. I had a 12” skar before in a ported box tuned for 30 hz and didn’t like the sound. But I bought this thing in a sealed box on an 1200w 2 channel amp and it hits. Everyone thinks I have dual 8s in the back but then they see a single 12 it insane. Thank you fosgate you still make great products

Love Me Some Rockford Fosgate!!!

I bought this P3 12" to replace a P2 12" in my Camry and it does make up for the almost $50+ difference in sound output. I won't settle for less again.

Edit: this make for my third P3 12" now. That's how much I'm in love with this series/model.

Everything I Needed

Used this kit to run an amp to the trunk of a 2015 Kia Optima. Ended up trimming about 1½ft of excess to help clean up the install. Everything seems to be good quality. Ran the power wire down the driver's side and RCA & amp signal wire down the passenger side to avoid any interference. Plenty of length of everything for a full size sedan.

Solid box

Solid box and it's well built however Rockford Fosgate p1 p2 or p3 subwoofers will not fit the trim around the hole is too small. I had to take off the glossy black faceplate to install the Rockford and it sounds amazing only getting A 4 star do to the faceplate I'm planning on trimming the hole bigger on the faceplate later on.

Great upgrade from a Skar 12"

I got this to upgrade my skar 12" subwoofer and oh my gosh it sounds so much nicer. The base is more accurate and even though it's only listed at 600w RMS and the skar was listed at 800w RMS I feel like they take the exact same because I didn't change The gain on my amp that much and it pounds just as loud as the skar sdr. Great subwoofer especially if you can get it open box like I did.
