Great Quality Speaker Wire

Very cool looking design, heavy duty speaker wire, great for audiophile quality . The plastic tubing makes it neat to sore excess wire.

This wiring didn't quite seem like 12 gauge, maybe more like 14 ga. But even for 14ga its a pretty good deal. Just standard speaker wire

Great gift for others...

I bought this as a gift to my parents and had it shipped directly to them so I have not seen the Viewer myself. I have spoken with them on several ocassions since and they are very pleased with it. They have hundreds of slides from many vacations and trail hikes that they would love to share with the family and say that the process of transfering them to digital has brought back many long forgotten memories. They are having a ball doing it and are very thankful that the item was made available to them. I don't think they have tried hooking it up to the TV directly yet, only used it to digitize the slide photos. A wonderful gift for others.... long forgotten memories revived....

True 12 Gauge

What can I say, I needed 12 Gauge wire. Was worried that I was gonna get 16 gauge but got exactly as advertised. I highly recommend this and will buy it again.

Great wire for the price!

Ok, I have read a few bad reviews and do not understand them. Forgive me in advance because I am no expert on wire but can criticize fake or under-performing products. The only critics are audiophiles that claim it is "not true 16ga." and take it as far to quote a company representative. He too, is probably an audiophile and has measured and found a manufacturer's flaw in the diameter and I am not debating that . All I am saying is that this is pretty thick speaker wire. Sucks it is made in China though, being an American but if 100% copper and O2 free, there is nothing at all to complain about. I guess only 20+ years of use will tell ;)

Good stuff

I have several kinds of high quality speaker wire, mostly 10 and 12 ga. There is an audible improvement with this wire ... on most, but not all, of five speaker systems I've tried it on. How much difference seems to depend on the speakers and the amplifier it's connected to. But there is a difference. Thanks

Good Sturdy

Good, sturdy, non cheap speaker wire - very sturdy, loved it.

I purchased the 12 awg OFC speaker wire.

I purchased the OFC wire because in my opinion it performs better than other wires in this price range. I cut equal lengths of wire and am using a high end Sony ES receiver and some really old Energy 22's. I could not be happier with this purchase. I highly recommend the wire, Bill.

Good Wire

This wire was cheap but is pretty good. I was worried that maybe it just had a lot of insulation or something like that like you always here about with cheaper stuff. But this is priced like it should be, not like that monster stuff.

Best cheap sub i found for the cash

I had doubt`s about a sub this cheap. I bought 4 of them and put them in a ported box and all i can say is wow they sound awesome for the price and get pretty loud but they do have limits. I have them hooked to a hifonics brutus bxi1610d in a 2 Ohm load and if turned up to loud you can smell them but for the price there not bad but if you want ground pounding bass look to other subs but if your on a budget & just looking for something to get by with there worth the cash....

Pretty Good - Run them at 200 rms and they are fine.

I purchased one of these speakers at a liquidation, which cost me more.
I built my own box to my specs because i like bass around 20 to 35 hertz.
My box is 3.92 cubic ft with a 4 inch port, tuned it to 25 hertz. with this speaker it really pounds some those low low bass songs.

Great Value

I own 2 of these, with a sony 1600 watt mono amp. They are a great buy for anybody wanting good sound with a low budget.

Works fine

Have this driving 12" jackhammers. two of them, each one is powered by a 760W pioneer amp turned almost all of the way up. All in all it works fine and its cheap.

i hooked 2 of these up and ran them at 300 watts rms each and the second day of playing them they started to bottom out on a few songs and they almost blew :/ but on low volume these really compliment the music but if your looking for low and loud bass these wont do the job as well as others

greatt sub veryy satisfiedd!

This is a great deal for the price I got two hooked up to a 800 watt kenwood amp giving 230 rms to each sub and its beating up my trunk like you wouldnt believe people even been askin me if they were two 15"s!! I think there loud and meet most peoples expectations, imo great buy you wont be disappointed..planning on buying two more in the future and a bigger amp but for now im defenetly loud with these

Fine for me

Theres a lot more expensive wire out there but this does the job for me. Hooking a pioneer gm-5400t and a pioneer shallow mount 12 together. doesn't get hot when running pretty loud with my amp, 380 rms and 760 max.

Cheap for a reason

This speaker wire is not really 12-gauge. I just recently purchased another brand of speaker wire from a different store (more reputable brand, I'd say)...the new wire I bought was listed as 16-gauge. This wire was listed as 12-gauge. They seemed to be the exact same size. This 12-gauge wire happens to have an abnormal amount of rubber coating on it, so it's seems light a bigger gauge than it is. Don't get me wrong, the wire seems to be tough and gets the job done. The specs are just misleading.

Best Bang For Your Buck!!

For the price, I dont feel you can beat this speaker.
It is crisp, clear, and best of all, HITS HARD IN A PORTED BOX.
I built the box to Hifonics specs with the proper volume and port size, and I am very happy with its performance. I have delt with many high end, high dollar woofers and Im just amazed at this little cheap guy.
I am giving it roughly 600watts RMS and 1000Watts peak with no distortion, just clean hard bass. I was unsure about giving it this much power, but it handles it very well. Its all about the box and amp. Dont skimp on a box, get the proper volume and port size and this sub will impress you. Bass, I love You plays amazing and this woofer can MOVE SOME AIR. Thats all I have to say.

These subs far exceeded my expectations for how much I paid for them. I have these in a fat ported box in my Civic with a Boss GT1500D. All it does is rattle everything and make everyone laugh. Unfortunately, the frequency response isn't quite up there with Kicker or other top brands. They quiver a bit in hi-bass, the mid-bass in these are great, but they kinda bottom out when it comes to low-bass. Surely, they earthquake on low-bass but its just not quite up there with other subs. But all in all, they are still a definite GO for how much they cost. So buy em =]

Decent wire

I ran this 12 gauge to my 4 speakers in my Camry and it's not too bad. When you strip the wire it seems like quite a few of the strands want to break off, no matter how careful you are. The outer layer is pretty flexible but I've seen better. Not too bad for the price.

Great speaker wire.

What can i say. It does what it is supposed to. I ran this after swapping amps and needing heavier guage wire. Probably would have worked with the 16 guage i had but a lot of people convinced me it would save my amp and possibly my car. System sounds a little louder and crisper too.

I called Sonic Electronix and their representative told me himself that they know it is not truly 12 gauge. I don't know who wrote the review saying that this wire was the proper thickness but they are absolutley wrong. I would say its much closer to 16 guage. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WIRE. OR ANY WIRE BY THIS BRAND

this wire has i extra thick JACKET is equavlent to like 15 ga. lets break it down good 12 ga speaker wire in town runs between .75-1.00 pr foot. 50 feet of this for ten dollars is a good deal if you want to know if this wire will work for your application go to streetwires and look at the wire size to current diagram its really between 14 and 16 when stripping this wire i would reccomend having a quality set of strippers which sonic sells

Sony WX-GT77UI

For the most part this is an awesome head unit. It fits very nicely into my 2007 Ford Fusion. The added remote is a bonus and the display is very retro looking. The only downside is that some of the buttons are difficult to push at times.

First of all the photo of the wire needs to be updated. Its not A bad thing the wire is even better then before. Its very flexible and slick makes installing in tight areas easy. One side full blue the other dark brown makes it easy to tell positive to negative. I replaced 12 gauge monster cable with this wire do to monster was stiff and hard to work with. And to my surprise I was shocked on the sound I was getting from this wire much louder and crisp clean sound better then the monster cable at over half the cost. This is the only wire I use now.

Works Great

Installed this unit in a 2008 Frontier during the last snowstorm. Wiring harness and Antenna adapter made hookup very easy but dash kit required trim modifications to make it fit. Also got Sony XT-100HD tuner and the required wires in back of the head unit made for a difficult fit in the dash (needed to bend a support tab on dash). Unit looks great, sounds great, and is very easy to navigate. One of the best units out there for the price in a double DIN style. With HD tuner and sub amp, unit recognized both and the whole package works perfect. Very happy I upgraded my stock radio. Although I wish the unit came with Built-in HD, lot of extra wires. Also, orange would be a nice third color option since my Nissan uses that color for back lighting.

wire works great the only down part is it's not actually 12gauge more like 16gauge wrapped in extra thick plastic. It was good for me I think the extra insulation on the wire cut down on some distortion.

Not a quality product

I purchased this last summer and I have not been thrilled with its performance. The connection to the iPod works but the control of the iPod from the stereo is primitive - it will only play things in album order, and who buys complete albums these days? Then the radio went out after three months - no AM and very weak FM. Spent $33 sending it back to Sony for warranty repair. After they fixed it the first time, the unit came back with no AM or FM! Sent it back again, and it still does not work. Very disappointing.

good , but need improvement

Good stereo, good radio reception, reading mp3 easily, display may be more informative and less blind on sun light . Recognized my iPhone 3GS but never played music from it. Never tried to connect iPod may be those connection will work. Connected only with regular flash drives , but with 4 different and device worked correctly with all of them. Sound also is very good with my front standart and back 3 way JBL speakers. Over all good for the buck

Great Unit for a Great Price

I needed a replacement radio for my 2002 Escape and this Sony unit really caught my eye. It is a double din head unit which required a little dash opening modification but everything worked out well. When I called Sonic customer service they were very helpful guiding me through the wiring harness connections. The Sony unit has larger buttons and the iPod wire connection is a real plus. Thank You Sonic for a great product at a great price !!!

Awesome!

This is the best head unit! I finally installed it in 1989 Nissan 240 SX SE and with some subs in the trunk and it really bumps! The remote commander makes the unit easier to use and all I do is connect my USB Flash drive to the USB plug built in on the unit and it reads it easily. I always get compliments on how nice the radio looks installed in the dash and the installation was easy! I would recommend this to anyone!

Great bang for the buck

I wanted a double-din receiver to replace the crappy factory unit in my '04 Trailblazer. I was amazed at what this unit was able to bring out of the factory speakers! They still have their limits, but this receiver does a great job - I have been REALLY happy with it. Navigating the iPod is a little clunky, but it works fine. Some other reviews said the buttons were hard to push, but I disagree. The buttons are designed to pivot from the inside edge of the button, out to the beveled edge on the outside. If you push the outside of the button it works with normal effort. I can see how some people might be confused by the design, but if you think about how the button moves it makes sense.

great unit, awesome price.

This HU is worth the money. I usually go with pioneer for head units but my stereo system was recently stolen and had to get something more affordable. For the price you cant beat this HU, works great, ipod/iphone functionality is great. I have used my ipod nano, iphone (original) and wife's iphone 3G and they all work seamlessly. The unit looks great and actually sounds really good for not having my speakers on an amp. I have two complaints about this unit, the screen class is very reflective and on sunny days it is hard to read. The display is not able to display two items at the same time, such as the name of the song and the time. it can only do one at a time. These are very minor issues. Overall I'm extremely happy that I purchased this unit, i was worried that for the price I was going to get crap but it is very well designed and works great. The ipod/iphone search feature also works well, very easy to search by album/artist/track etc.

I have 6 of these in a ford explorer in a 15 cube ported box tuned to a 30 hertz note. they are fed by a nappy precision power 2000 watt amp. People ask me what i have, i tell them hifonics, they kind of shrug and walk away but when i rip the volume knob they coming running to hear them. IMO for the money there an excellent sub for any use. Till then keep bumping my friends.

first of all this is a great over all subwoofer.heavy rubber surround,thick cone,a MASSIVE spider,sewn tinsle leads,and push down terminal conections overall a wonderfull buy for the price. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this subwoofer for anyone looking for a deep bass,hard hitting,awsome subwoofer.

This has been a nice replacement of the stock radio in my Toyota van. The price point was great and I have the ability to exapnd on it as needed. The seek function is a little cumbersome, but with the remote it is fine (the buttons on the faceplate are tucked behind the main nob...argh).

Awesome Head Unit

I really like this HU overall. There are a huge amount of features that you will never find in a stock stereo. The backlights on the buttons change between blue and green so it should fit in with most cars. The only thing I don't like is that the time doesn't display at the same time you have the track time on display, but this isn't a deal breaker...I just don't see why they couldn't have all the information there at once since the screen is plenty big enough. It sounds great, though, and I haven't had any problems with it.

i got 2 of these and there decent, i've heard way better and i'm 13 years old but that doesn't matter if your on a super tight budget and u have to get Wal-Mart quality this is 10 times better and it's worth the buy

Great Radio

This radio is really good. It connects to your iPhone or iPod and you can control it through the radio. Set up is not too difficult and once you set it up the way you want, it's pretty good. Plenty of power for small speakers. And separate contols for a Subwoofer. Great radio for the price.

Ok so I was very unsure of buying these subs, I got 2 of em for $50.. and that alone should make anyone unsure lol, but I blew my old subs and needed something quick and cheap so I got these.. I WASNT an idiot and hooked them up to max rms and try to slam them to max the second day I got them.. I know you have to break subs in, so for about 5weeks I kept these at roughly the same low to medium volume. i have them hooked up to a Rockford P500.2 which is 250w RMS @ 2ohms x2.. I kept my bass knob at a little less than 1/4 of the way up.. and after the breaking in period I could notice a huge difference SERIOUSLY.. I can turn these to a high volume with bass boost almost 1/2 the way up and it is thunderous! I just suggest read the specs and tune your amp accordingly and these things are amazing! 2 thumbs way up

good bang for buck

I have two in a 4.0 cube ft box tuned to 34hz running on a usamps b100.For the price great buy lacks some on low end but for price wow.

It was all I asks for and more. I installed it in my motor home and have been very pleased with the reception, sound, and quality. Even in remote locations, it got great reception! I also like the front plugs for my tape or other plug-ins.

good with existing car or low lvl systems

I bought this sub in July 10' and I put it in my Mazda P5 its perfect for this car this sub was made for small cars I think cuz I have 1 running exact RMS stated from a little 400 watt amp and its really clean and hits hard!! I was in my school shop which is really loud and some one heard it inside two rooms away

I love this head unit! I had it in the car 2 weeks and it was stolen! It was the most user friendly unit ever! Sonic gave me an awesome price. I miss it dearly, but my insurance company was good to me too!

Price does NOT equal quality

I have one of these subs being run by a DEI 600 D Class Amp in my truck. The sub puts out very clear and clean sound without raising the gain past 75%. I am planning this same combo in my car, as well as a DEI 1200 amp running two of these in the truck.

The design was a lot more sturdy than I expected for the price. They hit very hard, clean, and crystal clear (with the right EQ setting). They are also very pleaseing to the eye, set in all black with a chrome rim. These subs alone have pointed me towards Hifonics products in general.

I highly recommend these product for a person on a budget, or one that does not need a main stream name to impress.

perfect replacement

I bought this unit for the price, I had no idea I could listen to and charge my Iphone at the same time. It also works well with other MP3 players I've tried. the only thing that I feel need improvement is the sensitivity of the volume knob, it's too sensitive, if your adjusting the volume and hit a bump in the road you can easily find yourself adjusting sounds or balance.

Stereo sounds great. isn't lit up until it's cut on so the on switch is hard to find after dark but still a great buy. I have had mine for a few months now with no problems.

Not Too Shabby

I bought this sub for my girlfriend's station wagon, and put it in a large custom ported box. didn't have enough power running to it for its full performance but was loud and caught the lows a lot better than I expected.
There were some downfalls to it though mostly having to do with the Look/Design of this woofer. First: the cone is a little flimsy and rattles quite a bit when its hitting some of the higher bass notes, but i wouldn't throw it out for that. I just wouldn't recommend having the sub in the passenger compartment where you can hear the cone so much (preferably install in a trunk in a nice sealed box). Second: the ring that you put the screws through in order to mount the the sub isn't just a flat piece nor is it solid, so if you reef on the screws to make sure its tightly sealed, it flattens out and could hurt the surround if flattened too much. And Third: the chrome polished basket looks good, but the ABS plastic magnet cover has the capability to rattle some too, it just feels as though its a useless part that they put on to beautify the back and didn't put much energy into making it serve more of a purpose.
All in all it does what its supposed to do, and was worth every penny.

i recently had a soundstream t5 10" wired to 1 ohm but it broke i got one of these and wired it to 2 ohms and it hits harder then the soundstream t5. definitely a good buy

good bass for a cheap sub

I was very pleased at first with the sub until i beat on it every day with about 410 watts rms and i recently found out my amp was pushing 850 watts at peaks to it woops only supposed to be 600 peak to the sub i am going to buy 2 with a ported box and throw the amp back on them at a 4 ohm mono load pushing their 300 rms to them and 600 at peaks should last a little longer at 410 rms it lasted about 2 months . i would recommend to some one looking for mirror rattling bass just dont push to much power to it

Great Value!

I bought this sub not expecting alot but i was surprise it plays very good, for the price I installed it in a 07 civic and i'm running it off the stock head unit and it performs very good bass line run clean and there is no or distortion! so far it worth the investment.

Great price for subs.

The RMS rating is only at 300 but for 40 dollars a sub. You can't beat that!

Good overall sub

I was skeptical but it exceeded my expectations based on the price. As long as you don't over power the sub it sounds great. I have one in my civic hatch back with 200w power it and it really does slam when I want it to without the fear of it exploding. It's more than worth the small price you pay for it.

i just got 1 a couple of days ago and i gots to say is it pounds!! i got it hooked up to a 600 MA amp (great amp). it hits alot better than my crappy other sub. im gettin anthor one soon!! get it you will love it for the price

not too bad

These subs are not too bad. They have their pros and cons. They hit pretty good for a 30 dollar sub. But the prob with them is that they smell. I have a 1000 watt hifonics amp running two of these subs and each sub is getting about 250 watt rms. they are an alright sub....but idk if i would buy any more of them again

Its an ok product handles the power to a certain extent, cover is this cheap plastic with a stamped out basket that can cut most objects. I have six of these hooked up to a mojo 2000d, they hit just not enough. Defiantly needs more excursion. But if your a beginner buying these for some bump, their ok.

Easy Install, sounds GREAT!

Got this for my girlfriend's 1995 Honda Accord. Installation was simple and easy. It sounds great...much louder than the factory stereo. And it makes the Sony 3-way 6x9s I put in the rear deck sound even better than what the factory stereo was putting out! I definitely recommend this stereo to anyone with a Double-DIN radio!

Nice Subwoofer

His Sub is well worth it for its money. i would recommend it.i have never purchased a sub for such low cost that outperformed the higher brands. i am really satisfied with this product and would recommend anyone to look no further for a sub.

this sub sounds great, took a couple days to break it in and it bumps loud! i only have one right now because i am waiting for my other, it is being powered by 600 watt amp and sounds so good. cant wait for my other!

At first i didnt expect that much from this subs but when i put this bad boys in a ported enclosure and hooked it up to my hifonics bxi 1206d at 4 ohms oh my lord!!! these are deep loud and they have alot of clarity really good subs for the price i recommend this to anyone that wants big loud bass for the cheap price there offering right here at sonicelectronix...

i have been installing and buying systems for the past three years so i know i good sub when i see one. this here is an awesome sub for the price. if your looking to build a budget system start with this. i used to own memphis 12's that costed around 100 a piece and did not hit as hard as these. just make sure you pair them with a decent amp at least 500 watts each sub. so yeah its an awesome sub

True power

I have 8 12s and these two are the loudest and hit the deepest. They hit louder than some 800watt subs I have. I recommend this because its a cheap price and you get a very nice product. the baskets are nice and shiny if you want to invert also. So many people have looked at these go wow they must have cost like $120. This shook the whole 2nd floor with 75watts A+++++

Know your wire

Ok I'm always tryin to perfect my system I wanted to know what was the difference between this for 15 dollars for a hundred feet and other wire for a dolla a ft. First your gonna pay for 10% all the way to 100% oxygen free wire pays to get it.copper gets that green corrosive that grows on it . The music signal moves along the out side of the wire.oxgen free keeps it clean.second windeing look at this wire if you can see the strands they are almost straight so it is true 100 pct 100 ft. Now the better the wire they"what ever company" are gonna twist the wire so now when they take 100 ft and twist it will go down to 80 70 50 how ever much they want to twist the better the more twist per ft that will give better conducttivty.hay I used it at first but as ur perfecting your system get the best wire you can get and you will hear the difference. Now I want to make my own rcas all of these are shit compared to the ones I want with all 12 gauge good luck

I have had this product for about a year now, and I can tell you that I have not had any issues with it. It has proven to be a great investment, especially if your looking for a quality built deck that produces some pretty damn sounds out of it. Also, it just looks plain awesome. Overall, great product.

Perfect upgrade.

I replaced the crappy AM/FM/CD unit in my RV with this unit. I ran some speaker wires outside so we can have music while relaxing by the fire. The IPOD functions work just fine and we love listening to hours and hours of music with no annoying DJs or commercials. It more that met my expectations. Sound is great. With the added power output of this unit there was no need to replace the speakers. It brought them to life.

Good Unit for the $$$

I was looking for a replacement radio for my 08' Civic w/ iPod connection, you will need the purchase the separate iPod cable or that feature will not work for you. Install was simple no modifications needed to dash kit. Radios features are very basic but didn't expect it to be more than what I was paying for. The appearance looks nice installed if that matters to you. It definitely has the power. All in all it's a good buy for the money so if your on a budget I'd say go for it.

This is a great sub for the price but people should know that you haft to the right box if it bottoms out the box is to big if it pops loudly the box is to small, ported boxes move alot of air so you can make any sub bottom out, Hifonics is cea certified for true power so you can bash a company that has over 25 years of experience, plz build the box to there specs usually a 1.2 to 1.5 cuft box will do

alright sub

Thought it sounded pretty good as it beeing my first sub, but as the weeks went by i became a little less satisfied.. the plastic backing cover thing rattles as the bass hits..highly annoying.. other than that, i would recommend buying this sub as a starter and its cheap price,as they say..you get what you pay for.. i will be up grading soon.

I knew it that this stereo gonna be good because i had many stereo system from sony before and they alwaye been good,i even worked with sony coorporation in 2000 as a salesman for 3 years and in this period i bougth from them around 6 items many of thems still working to today,sony espesialty in sound are the best this stereo unit fit my dash very nice blue light is good sound is good i have 2002 honda accord total of speakers is 9 including 4 tweeter and 1 12'' sub (i got the kenwood tube sub with kenwood amp pakage) sound is like in night club clear and powerful,if you have double din place for stereo and your unit be the best without dvd buy this unit it is gooood,before this sony unit i had chinese dvd with 7'' touch screen it was sounding good but not like sony and i changed because the screen turn to blue in hot weather summer got is for $200 and sold it for $150 then i got the sony because i didn't use the dvd player, i like listen to clear and powerful music in my car

simply amazing

Bought 2 of these almost a year ago and they still sound the same as they did when I installed them. loud, low and clean in the proper enclosure. I custom built my enclosure at 1.8 cubes and 35Hz slot ported and they sound amazing. I highly recommend these for a beginner and the medium daily driver.

i had 2 of these hifonics hooked up on both voice coils in a ported box with about 250 rms on each sub n they suprised me and my friend who had 2 kenwood kfc subs and even he thaought they were louder than his kenwoods n i paid only 60 for both brand new on another website n he was pissed so if ur looking for sum cheap subs that sound good and will fill ur car with bass get these. i dont get where people say these subs r crappy they must not of hooked um up right . I also recomend the 10 INCH RE SRI10D2 they r really good quality and sound subs

Great iPhone Receiver for $!

I've owned this receiver for about 6 months and it's been a great product. It's a great value for the money, by far the cheapest double-din receiver I could find that worked well with the iPhone, scrolls text, and looks solid.

- USB extension works great for keeping iPhone in cup holder and not needing to drill or run a wire through the front dash

Great budget bass!

I got my hands on these and decided to give them a go. Ive always rocked old school Orion subs, and love them.

I wired 2 of these down to 2 ohms, custom sealed enclosures, I'm doing hair tricks in my 87 Ranger, giving them 200ish RMS a piece and they pound so hard.

Im impressed no doubt the best bang for your buck.

My next major overhaul will be a complete Maxxsonics build.

Can't beat the price. Had two of them hooked in my grand marquis running 200 watts rms through both of them and still hit hard and low. Will be getting these for my new car!

They sound good, had two in a ported box. I kept them under 200 watts RMS a piece for 2 weeks (by DMM). put in a new amp and set them to about 350 RMS and blew them in about 2 minutes with my H/U just under 1/2 volume.

Sony got it right

I bought this radio about 4 months ago it is nothing short of AWESOME. I am not even sure I need an amp anymore to push my 4 infinity 6032 full range speakers. If you are in the market for a Double Din do yourself a favor and get it.

Works Great, Easy Install

This unit wasn't available in Canada, and I didn't want to spend hundreds on a touchscreen receiver, so I decided to order from Sonic. Installation in a 2003 Grand Am was easy with the mounting kit, harness, and antenna adapter from Sonic. Only some basic soldering required.

Unit sounds great with stock monsoon speakers, ipod integration is seamless, and I'm picking up radio stations I never received clearly before. Only downside to this order was $65 additional charges from UPS.

I have had a lot of experience with different subs and the way they sound. When I first hooked them up I wasn't very impressed, but after a couple of days of breaking them in and getting them to loosen up some they are real loud. I have them in a 3.3 cu. ft. sealed box. Hifonics recommends a ported box since they are there lower end subs. They said that a 5.78 cu. ft. ported box was what they recommended for 2 subs; with the port being .77 cu. ft. of that space. A+++++++++ product and website.

I like this stereo for that is different and subtle at the same time and has 2 choices for color back lighting. All and all i have had no problem with it and really like it.

Had them for a good amount of time now. In my opinion they look great.

Great Sound, Lots of tone options! Noticed a Huge difference from my factory Head Unit to this one! My aftermarket speakers sound much more richer and fuller than before!

Pros: Has an (orange) dimmer cable. USB control.
Sub Woofer control. Illumination options (blue) or (green).

Cons: Not really a deal breaker, but the front buttons seem a little stiff.
Perhaps because it is new. Installed it just yesterday.

Overall very thrilled to have this in my '05 Camry!
Also is working fine with Axxess ASWC steering wheel control system.

I just installed this Sony into my wife's 1999 Camry because the stock CD player quit working. Installation was a breeze with the connector kit. The brackets from the stock stereo bolted right to the Sony and the unit bolted right back into the stock spot. It sounds great with the factory speakers and the IPod functioned first try. It will take some time to learn how to operate but she has the book. Overall, I recommend buying this. I wish my other vehicles had 2Din size stereos because I would buy two more.

not a good choice

I had these subs for bout 4 months in a ported box. i hated them. I got some Kicker CVRs now, and I'm pleased, but I'm still not happy. But the Hifonics wasn't even good for surround sound subs for me. If u dont need a lot of bass, get these. If your dad wants a lil bass because the stock speakers aren't good enough, get these. If u wanna make the car shake, and make sure u can hear it with all the windows down, don't get it. The motor was louder then the subs. So if you don't need a lot of bass. This is it. but dont forget, u get what u pay for.

These subs give you the bang for your buck. I had 2 of these in a ported box (4cf) hooked up to Planet Audio amp..I had 300 watts going to each and they hit harddd. my friend took my advice and put 4 in his at like 9cf and they flexed the windshield, its all about the cubic feet, if you don't have the right amount then their not gonna hit, but if you do then these will surprise the $*** out of you.

Awesome Stereo

I bought this to go into my 2003 Suzuki Aerio sedan. I love it. It was easy to install and sounds great. Way more powerful than my stock radio and too many features to list in one review. The main advantage is the ipod control. I have my ipod in the glove box and that is all I listen to. It charges any time the car is on so the only reason to take it out is to update the songs if I buy some new ones. The controls are quick and easy to use. You can switch songs, artists, albums, playlists without any trouble at all. If you are looking for a less expensive radio with fully integrated ipod controls I highly recommend this Sony!

Purchased this sub because I was on a budget and read some good reviews about it here. I was very surprised to hear how good this sub sounds. Powered with a 250 watt RMS mono amp in a sealed enclosure in the back of my Explorer and this thing pounds!!

well to start off the sound quality was decent! but the plastic caps over the magnets vibrate pretty bad. i have 2 of these and for the money none is better!

i have 3 of these in a sealed box each chamber is 1.75 cu.ins and i have down to 2ohm on a boss 1100 watt mono block amp and i have the gain on 50% and the bass all the way up on the amp and this straight hits hard i was shock when i heard these i thought it was cheap for a beginner system. and let me tell u this aint no beginner system it has amazing lowness deep bass and i hit 158.3 on a db spl meter....i highly recommend this product

Great bang for the buck!

I have previously owned 2 of these subs, and you really cannot beat them for the cost! i have had a set of Kicker cvr's and they weren't as loud as these! I would say that there only weak point is the large ported enclosure size for a 12, None the less, I am currently about to checkout with 6 of them in my cart.

I have one with 8ohms @ 200 watts. All I can say is it sounds as good as my JL 12. And this 12 was only $40.00 I would buy again in a heart beat. You will not be sorry. Also mine is in a hatchback. Very nice sound.

Great product! I would recommended this to anyone looking for a new head unit. Its worth the money, you pay a little but you get a lot of features. I guess there's only one thing about it that in cold weather the screen is a bit slow but I guess this is something normal to all electronics in severe cold weather. I've had it for like 6 months now and it has no issues its working great. Its easy to install you can do it yourself.
Overall I'm satisfied with the product.

Great product

I have owned several Sony head units and this unit is a great choice if you want a unit that has plenty of options. You can hook a iPod or other mp3 player directly into the unit via USB port. It also has a separate sub volume control. It sounds great in my Chevy Colorado and has worked flawlessly, which I have come to expect from Sony. I just wish they would have used the extra space since it's a double din unit, for something like a 6 disk changer instead of just a metal cage with nothing in it.

I received this for Christmas,got to install it today in my ford ranger. It came with the harness and mounting brackets,and it was a breeze to put in. You will have to cut the lip off the top and bottom of the dash panel opening after you pull the old radio out, but that was it, it slid right in after . i used a dremel tool with a universal bit. I will get to the new speakers this week, but let me say i have listened to it on the old factory speakers and it sounds excellent, Cranks pretty good!! can't wait to hear it on the new pioneer's, You can't go wrong with this unit @ this price.i can't really add about durability,as I'm still on day one.

Outstanding product!

Installation was easy and we are very pleased with the unit. We especially like the large display and buttons, as well as the remote, which make it safe, quick, and easy to operate while driving. The USB and front panel inputs add important options for peripherals. It has way more features than I need, but leaning to use the basic functions was straight forward and intuitive.

Superior Functionability

I have recently purchased and received this Sony WX-GT77UI deck. I must comment that the waiting period for the international shipping of this product was satisfactory (2 1/2 weeks). Firstly, the appearance of the item is very impressive and attractive coupled with clear, powerful bass. Compared to the JVC KD-LH300 model previously installed in my vehicle, this item produces bass sounds at a lower volume at which the former could not perform. Installation was a bit problematic as I was not able to achieve the flush look I was gunning for but this point is moot. However, the functions of the apparatus were easy to use after a few attempts. Since I have only just received this deck my only suggestion is that the display could be made to itemize mp3 files into visible list format for easier navigation. Overall, great value for my money!

Very stylish system that looks like it should be standard in my f-150 chrome edition. Controls are a little hard to get used to but all in all a great addition to my sound system. Awesome deal on top of it all

Sweet looking, good value, double din

I bought this rather than a video double din and i'm glad I did. I probably never would have watched video in my car and i saved a few hundred bucks. The ipod support is perfect and reads without any delay jumping between tracks. It is a little slower loading from a habit mass storage mode. It did surprise me and read past all the other files on my Droid X to find the music though so that's sweet.
It was easy to hookup for a double din and doesn't do anything worse than any other stereo i've had.
I am running it through some 3way Sony 6x9s and it is crisp and responsive.

Very Respectable

I was a little worried about purchasing a entry level sub from Hifonics. I mean $35 with free shipping? What do I expect? WOW was I surprised! I have this sub is slot port box 1.35 cubes tuned at 40 hz and it thumbs great. I would not say you will shake the neighborhood but you will be jammin in the cabin. If this sub is in your budget, don't hesitate. My only gripe is that the spring terminals are for high gauge wire. In other words, skinny. Peace.

Entry subs

Great cheap subs. No crap from w*****t ty! I have 2 of these currently and they do pretty good. Great just to add some bass to ur everyday music. They can shake everything in and out of the car. I have them hooked to a little Nitro 1k watt amp wired down to 2 ohm. For the price you cant go wrong. They are not Fi or Dc Audio's but for now they will do lol. After a few days of breaking them in they did get louder but I cant max my amp on them or they just distort to all h**l. I would say grab a set if you dont wanna spend a ton of $$$$. Great bass for the buck.

Best bang for buck hands down!

I have two of these with 500 rms going to each and they hit hard. They sucessfully removed my rearview from my windshield! There is a little clipping when turned up, but thats because they are 30 somethin bucks! If you want audiophile or competition quality dont get theses. If you want awsome bass for almost no money GET THESE!

I have used the older Hifonics hf12d4 which are basically the same as these and they lasted a good while. I was powering 2 of them with a Memphis pr1.1000 with about 500w RMS. I got them from my step bro which he had for a few months before me. When I started using them they lasted for about 7 months and thats usually turning up the gain half way and riding home in the country with the bass all the way up to just see how loud it would get.What happened was the voice coil burnt out and the other one still works. My step bro tested them and they hit about 130db. Which is really good subs for such a cheap price. The sound quality was about average. I sold my Memphis 1.1000, 1f efx cap, and my one Hifonic sub to my step bro. My next system is going to be the $60 pioneer subs, boss cap 2f, and a phoenix gold v8001 for $180. Its all costing me $330 because of the lowest price guarantee which makes me shop at SonicElectronix.com that much more.
--For this sub I highly recommend powering it with about 300w RMS but not too much gain.

Cool Sleeper

At first glance, people look at my 03 Subaru Outback and think that the stereo is straight from the factory because the black double din fits so well. Which is great when it comes to theft. Once they realize it's a Sony and not a factory stereo, then I tell them that the music they are listening to came off of my windows media player files downloaded to my thumb drive. I don't have to carry CD's around and fiddle with folders while I'm trying to drive, I just click the search button and I can listen to as many different songs as I can fit on the thumb drive which is neatly hidden away in my console (not sticking out of the head unit and in my way) thanks to the USB wire from the back of the unit! It's Freakin' Great!

Not super advanced, but good designed and greate sounding Working Horse. I mainly use it with flash drive and LOVE IT! Hovever other features like radio and CD player work very well and so far reliable too.
I bought it just about half year ago. And thanks to Sonic Electronix that also supplied all needed part, I installed that very easily. Now I just enjoy it.

This head unit blows my mind and has restored my faith in Sony after many years of Pioneer. Awesome retro-futuristic looks. Easy to program and use. My 16-year old had no problems installing this in my 2006 Silverado Crew Cab. The required wire harness retained all of my factory chimes and features I like about the truck. Fits nicely in the factory double din slot. The oly thing that would make this better is if it had a built-in HD Tuner. Oher than that, no complaints.

I have had this Sony head unit in my truck for about 6 months and so far it has been great. The buttons are a bit hard to push in and is slightly annoying but I don't think it should keep a person away. The first thing you should do is deactivate the "demo" mode because that had me frustrated for a good month until I looked back at the book and shut it off. Other then that is has worked well and soon I will be hooking a sub up with some new speakers to really make the system better.

excellent car stereo for the money. I needed a double din to go in my
'02 explorer bc a single din just looks ridiculous in that big slot. I was shocked to find a sony so cheap. after reading some reviews i decided to buy it and im glad i did. it doesn't have video or blue tooth like some of the newer (and more expensive) models, but i didn't care about either. it is hd radio and satellite radio ready, it has a usb port and is ipod ready, and it has an aux port on the front. basic controls are great, however it is a little confusing getting use to more detailed controls such as bass, balance, dim control, etc. The usb port is a cable that comes out of the back of the stereo and you have to find a place to hide it which i don't like. I would rather have a port on the front to plug into. However, all in all I'm very happy. It's a lot of stereo for the money. I don't care for some flashy unit that jumps out at you when you open the door. I wanted something that sort of "blends in" and goes away. This unit does that perfectly with its simple look and a feature that allows you to set the backlight to blue or green to match your vehicle. No skips with the cd player, and the tuner picks up great. Good stereo for someone wanting simple and inexpensive.

Good performance; Hard to read display in daylight

Great ipod interface, we listen to books and music on my wife's ipod , my mp3, and sometimes cds. Our late nineties gran marquis rides are great on interstate and now has latest music interfaces.
Equalizer settings has 'vocal' setting which really helps my old ears with understanding the lyrics. Another electronic store installed mine for $50, They don't carry this model. Well worth the price to have it installed...lots of wiring connections
Need passenger to change ipod settings during daylight while driving; VERY difficult to read display in bright daylight driving conditions.

Only reason I bought this thing is because of the location of aux for my hands-free mic + aux cable. Interesting design but all in all good product

sony wx-gt77ui --- good buy

I bought the sony wx-gt77ui, because it was not to flashy as the touch screen units, plus it had all the features I was looking for. It has been an excellent stereo. My only complaint has to be with the ipod feature, it is difficult to navigate your ipod using the head unit through the usb port, I wish you could just change songs or listen to podcast by just navigating threw the ipod interface. The Sony is difficult to the point you just want to plug it into the aux port or just let it play where it is. Everything else has been perfect.

Great Radio for the Money

I was hunting for a radio that I could play music from my flash drive. I stumbled on this. It was a nice looking double din with all the features I wanted at a great price (great brand too). I have had it for six months and no complaints. It has enough power that I think I blew one of my factory speakers - great sound. I really really like not having all my CD's with me. I have about 30 cd's on my flash drive and play songs from there more then I listen to the radio. I couldn't be happier with this purchase - got all I wanted and didn't break the bank. (installed on a 07' classic silverado)

Great double DIN deck gives a nice OEM look. iPod control is awesome works with all MP3 players. Changes colors, beautiful controls. The only thing i regret is i bought for a girl who ended up being very scandalous, wish I kept it for myself.

Best HU for the money

Ive spent a lot of time and money on multiple cars installing audio systems. For my 07 civic, i didn't want a navi as it would attract too much attention, but I wanted something that would fit nicely in the DD opening. This HU has a LOT of nice features. For one, it comes with an equalizer with presets and a custom option. It also reads USB's and CDs VERY FAST. With CDs, its almost as fast as the factory unit, something NO alpine head unit has EVER done. Its very responsive, and hasnt had ANYTHING fail yet. Paired with a polk amp and polk speakers (alpine sub amp and powerbass sub for now) this system rocks you. With the windows up, they can barely tell I have a sub (unless I am in a garage... guess it echos nicely). With the windows down I am blowing peoples ears away, and with NO DISTORTION!!!!
FM reception is a little eh, but thats something with every aftermarket HU ive ever owned. Get this for the USB!!! Well worth it!

Looks good, plays great and, makes sounds incredibly crisp. For the value nothing is going to beat it. Very easy to use, you want the USB in the back not the front. If you put a USB stick in the front of a receiver it is going to get broken at some point.

Easy to install also, I have this in a 2006 VW Passat and it makes the sound system just perfect.

Good Value

I just installed this Sony into my wife's 1999 Camry because the stock CD player quit working. Installation was a breeze with the connector kit. The brackets from the stock stereo bolted right to the Sony and the unit bolted right back into the stock spot. It sounds great with the factory speakers and the IPod functioned first try. It will take some time to learn how to operate but she has the book. Overall, I recommend buying this. I wish my other vehicles had 2Din size stereos because I would buy two more.

Good entry level sub

this is a good entry level sub for people who like bass. just put it in a nice 2-2.5 cuft ported box and it will do fine.

Fits my 1995 Miata

Sounds great, fit in my 1995 Mazda Miata, which uses a non-standard radio size. There is a small gap around the top and bottom, which I plan on filling with a small strip of black foam. The built-in amp is nice and loud, stock speakers sound even better, including the headrest speakers. I plan on putting a set of polk db6501 in later, and some Boston Acoustics 3.5" in the headrests to further make use of this awesome radio! Looks cool, I'm glad I didn't get the touch screen pioneer I was looking at because the 5sp gear shift would block the display. Not so with the sony, it works great, installed in less than an hour.

This head unit truly is awesome. It may not play pictures or video but has a classy look and futuristic style that almost looks stock but cooler. I have it hooked up to a phoenix gold 12" Sd sub along w a power acoustic stax, and polk audio speakers. The thing pounds hard & looks great and with a name like Sony how can you go wrong?

From a technical standpoint!

This is well worth the money. With a quick tune (using mp3s designed for tuning from a USB drive) I got this thing up and running with a Polk and Alpine amp (4 channel and sub)
AMAZING! best sounding head unit I have EVER owned. I'm quite surprised. I leave it with ALL EQ OFF. The eq works good, but it just sounds better with it off!
Downfall? Blue lights are blinding at night while driving. But hey, its a tradeoff in my eyes. Buy this if you need a head unit. If you can fit it, and don't want navi, this is the next best budget headunit! Sony actually built a GREAT product this time!
Despite it having a small volume knob, its easy to use. The USB reader is great for any size thumb drive.
The CD player is LOUD and crisp. (120db S/N!)
while only 2V RMS preamps, they do the trick.

Sony Head unit

I got this to replace the stock unit and the LOC (line output converter) I had installed in my Yaris. Installed seamlessly and quickly. Typically I do not go for Sony stereos, but this one compliments the interior style of my car as well as has great i/o capabilities.

Pros:
I can forget my iPod since i have 4Gb thumbdrive full of my music.
Very simple interface
Great design
Remote has excellent distance
Features are very easy to configure
EQ comes with decent presets
Outputs for All of my amps (not that daisy chaining them was a bad thing :) )

Cons:
Sometimes function buttons are tricky to push, not that they stick but more like they just won't budge.

I like this unit because of all the feature it has like the usb port and all the level adjustment. I have a 10 disk Sony changer hooked up to this unit and it plays great. I would by this Sony unit again.

Still a little Weary about this Stereo

Shortly after receiving the stereo I purchased I started having slight problems with it malfunctioning. Sometimes when I would turn my car on there would be a fuzzy sound in the speakers but no actual volume. I would switch sources from radio to cd to usb (mp3 player) but the fuzziness would still remain. After turning off the stereo and the car and turning them back on again the stereo would function perfectly. Also there is a surround sound function that is accessed by pushing in on the volume knob. Sometimes when I go to turn up the volume the surround sound is activated instead and then I have to go through all of the audio presets to get back to the volume. The stereo has great sound quality and many great functions....especially for how affordable it was but I wouldn't say that I'm absolutely thrilled with it.

Good for when you're on a budget.

I would recommend for low-powered systems as it's really just 8awg wire.

Good Value, Decent Performance

I installed this unit in an '02 EX Accord sedan. The install was very easy - there is a lot of room in this dash. I even had room for my crossovers under the radio. The Sonic Electronix kit was perfect. For perspective, I'm powering a pair of Infinity Kappa components with the head unit (up front) and some 6x9's in back. I'm also running lines to a subwoofer amplifier in the trunk. I'm more into SQL (on a budget) than SPL.

Overall, I'm pleased with the unit. While I've clearly had better units, they also cost 2 to 3x the cost of this one.

PRO's:
Decent bass management (high/low pass filters)
Equalization isn't bad (3 channel)
Gain on the Aux input is nice
It plays AND CHARGES my iPhone 4
If you're running factory speakers, the MP3 enhncement feature works well (but it gets overwhelming with better speakers)
The controls became intuitive relatively quickly.
Remote control was well thought out - I use it a lot (I don't miss my steering wheel controls).

CON's:
It has audible distortion at 1/2 volume and up (an external 4 channel amp would likely solve this).
It won't play Pandora over the USB connection (must use Aux).
The AUX input distorts beyond a certain point - and I am constantly up against this point (at 85 or so dB) and lowering the gain doesn't help.
Display is hard to see in direct sunlight.

Have had this for a week so far, sounds great, ipod controls are great, easy to install with included hardware from Sonic electronics. I like it very much but some things that bothered me a little, only 2 line display, will not show station and time at the same time or Ipod info and time at the same time but thats really no big deal. Overall I think this is a very good deal, sounds great and looks pretty cool in my dash. Ipod sounds ten times better that my factory Aux. Input I originally had.

Great Kit

The kit came with everything I needed to install my amp. Easy to use and everything looked great after it was installed. Looked at many other kits, but this one was by far the best value.

Crunch amp rocks!!!

I purchased this 5 channel crunch amp to replace an aging system in my ski boat. It was easy to install with 2 speakers in front, 2 speakers in the rear and a 12" subwoofer. All wiring and adjustments for sound were very easy. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and levels of adjustment. The remote sub adjustment knob is a great plus. This system sounds so good that I often listen to the stereo as the boat sits in my garage. For the price, it can't be beat. I'm thinking about adding a similar set-up in my personal truck. The service from Sonic Electronics was great too.

Great Product! At a Great Price!

This product does exactly what you need it to do. Its easy to you use and has all the connections you need to hook up your amp. Only thing that i would buy that doesn't come with this kit that you might need is a wire crimp and small connections for your speakers.

Actually seems to be about 6 gauge wiring, but honestly the power and ground seem really nice, and also are easy to bend and work with especially considering it's cheaper than almost any 8 gauge kit. Fuse holder was also up to par. The RCAs however are junk. They are not anything similar to the ones in the picture and I'm going to have to replace them because even running them down the opposite side of the car from the pwr/ground/turn-on they are still picking up a large amount of noise. That's actually the reason I picked this kit was for the included 4-channel RCAs. Live and learn I guess. Also the turn-on lead was extremely thin, be careful with it.

Perfect for a P2

Bought this box for a Rockford 12" P2 and it works perfect. I didn't want anything too boomy or muddy, so I went with a sealed box rather than a ported one. For the price, you cant' build one or buy one elsewhere.

Owned this amp for two weeks. I was worried about buying an amp that cost so little. but I am very happy so far. I have a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT head unit. 2 jl audio c2 component in front doors. 2 jl audio speakers in rear deck, and a Sonic Sub Box: 1H12-0.7 with a
Rockford Fosgate R2D4-12. the sub was out of control until I removed it and add a little sound dampening material inside box now it is well worth the money I spent.

Pure Junk.

Amplifier worked fine for about 11 months, then it started conking out randomly even when not being stressed. The sound coming out of it was pretty garbage too, I forgot how much better music sounded with better quality electronics. I replaced this unit with two separate JBL amps, a 4 channel and a class D, INSTANTLY the sound was better, clearer. As if there were 15 new instruments being played in the music suddenly. Do yourself a favor, do NOT waste money on this unit, save the extra few bucks and buy a decent brand.

Not too bad, but not what was advertised

The power wire has 583 strands that are 0.006" thick, which makes it 7.0 gage. The speaker wire has 50 strands that are 0.006" thick, which works out to 17.6 gauge. Both the power wires and speaker wires are copper clad aluminum, not 100% oxygen free copper.

I'm still going to use it, but am sad that the wire is not all copper.

Great Amplifier Wiring Kit

This is a great product for wiring 4 channel amplifiers. I used it to wire the amplifier in my 2007 Mustang, and it works fine. The quality is good, and the price is very competitive. I recommend this kit.

Great amp for the $.

I bought this to save space in my Jeep since i didnt want many amps laying around. I'm a long time car audio kind of guy. MANY subs. MANY speakers. I know whats good, and whats bad.

Pros:
Good power output.
Clean Signal

Cons:
-Kind of bulky, but thats to be expected with a low priced 5 channel amp pushing this kind of power.

-Had this powering 4 kicker 75rms speakers 4 ohms. and (1) 10" 150rms 4 ohm rockford fosgate sub. I sold this system so i could get more bass when i have top and doors off on jeep. If you get this amp, i recommend good speakers (dont cheap out on them and only get 4ohm speakers) and a 2ohm sub to get that much more bass out of it. When the jeep had top and doors on, i was VERY happy with this. i just wanted more bass in the end.

Could have this amp blaring for hours on end and NEVER had an overheat problem. Even when i had it mounted in a tight, poor air circulated spot. HIGHLY recommend if you want to save space and still sound good.

Awsome sound

Great amp, works well for my setup. Very easy to install and wire. Back-lit logo looks good at night. No problem at all when tuned correct with your head unit, this amp makes good bass for the price.
SETUP: Planet Audio 4" Two way in front, 6" three way in rear. Pioneer Premier TS-W1008D4 for sub in custom aero port box. Makes spectacular 42-40 mhz notes. all in toyota supra MK3.

Great value!

This inexpensive amp puts out excellent sounding audio for the price. I have this unit connected to four 6.5" Rockford Fosgate T1658 door speakers and a single sealed 12" Kicker CVR. Believe it or not, it is completely compatible with Kicker bass adjustment knobs, I didn't have to replace the knob that I have previously installed.

The sound quality is amazing for the price. And the wattage partitioned to sub bass is more than sufficient to shake your vehicle. My single sealed CVR wired at 2 ohms is getting more than enough juice to get it moving. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Great value and quality construction

While there are certainly more expensive "big name" brand RCA's on the market, I haven't found one that was a better value than the Tsunami's. Great looks, great reliability and great performance for the money. Maybe there are people out there that can hear the difference between these and a set that cost $100 more, but I'm not that guy....

Not worth it.

This is a terrible kit. The 4-Gauge power wire is way too thick and stiff, so it can't be easily routed. I ended up using an 8-gauge wire instead. Unfortunately I can't return this now since I cut up the wires while trying to install it.

Personally I found this kit to be suitable. The rubber coating had a good quality feel to me and all the other parts in the kit performed as I expected. Overall a good value.

Its a box

Very nice box and at a good angle, only con i have for it was when i drilled holes for the screws the drill bit grabbed the foam and tore it all out.

crunch 500.1 amp

Great value for the price. BUT, disappointed in the sub power output. If you have a closed trunk you'll never hear/feel it. Semi-acceptable for hatchback/station wagon. Moral of the story, if you really want THUMP buy a dedicated mono amp. One downside. It is a little large.

Real good amp for the price :)

I bought this amp for my 95 Pontiac Firebird. I wanted more bass at my doors and more highs in the rear 4" speakers, also the bass channel helped alot for the Earthquake 6.5 subwoofers I have there. I will admit I didn't get the bass I wanted from my doors like my 2 channel sony amp gave me but it does power every single speaker in my car and if you count tweeters as speakers I have 8 speakers in my car. 2 twts 2 mid woofers in the doors, 6.5" subwoofers, and 4" coxial in the rear.

Good quality

Good quality wiring. I recommend using a gold battery terminal, seems to work much better for me. Wiring is ample, but be sure to run from the front to the back or you may end up short like I did.

Perfect amplifier for a great deal.

I use this amplifier to power all of my MB Quart speakers in my 2000 Audi S4. It works like a charm. The main reason I wanted the 5-channels was to plug a subwoofer (two 1000 Watt 12" MTX Magnums) into it because of the bass gain control, but it didn't seem to produce enough power for all of my speakers and the subwoofer.
I just hooked up a second amplifier to the subs. The amplifier works great for the speakers in my car though!

4ga Wire Problems

This kit looks very nice until you receive it. The 4ga power wire is not sufficently thick enough. I would say the actual wire strand thickness is comparable to 10ga. The RCA's are very good quality as well as the rest of the kit.

Great amp at a great price

Wow, running my whole system thru this amp (5 1/4 conponents, 6x9's, and two 8" subs. The amp isn't turned up half way and it's already too much for me. Listen to music for hours at a time and she has barely gotten warm. Lots of adjustments for fine tuning your sub output. Be warned the footprint is much bigger than I had thought it would be so don't go thinking it will hide under a bucket seat. Otherwise a perfect amp for the money....

True AWG 4G Kit

I bought this kit to hook up my Hifonics ZXi40.4 Amp. It is only 320 Watts RMS so I know I over did it with the wire, but hey I into sound quality. That is exactly what you get with this kit. I believe it is Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) Wire power and ground. Also it is true AWG 4G wire. That being said, it is surprisingly very flexible. I ran it down the driver side door sill, fit perfect. The RCA's are perfect, very good sound quality. Obviously not Monster Cable RCA's, but for sure do the job. Remote wire is your basic 18 gauge wire. The speaker wire was infact true AWG 16G wire and sounds good compared to my Rocket Fish Speaker Wire. I have 4 door speakers in my truck so I had to get extra wire, but that was expected. A plus in this kit is it is for 4 channels so I didn't have to buy extra RCA's. Also the fuse is not cheap, it is very durable and in a hard ABS Plastic casing. The black split loom makes my install look like a proffesional did it. Not trying to brag, but I know my way around car audio so it does look quite nice anyways. Overall this is an awesome kit for the price. I paid more at the time, but like I said it was well worth it. I love Raptor products, they have never let me down.

No wonder its so cheap it almost caught on fire under my seat, I manage to fit it perfectly under the seat of my 2003 Dodge Ram pickup and at first try the amp smoked so I triple checked the connections and started smoking again but this time it almost caught on fire.

Beautiful, well made enclosure!

This is my second Absolute box and it surely will not be my last. Although they have some tacky boxes, their clean models are the cleanest. The fit and finish, build quality, and look of these boxes cannot be beat. I had to wrestle my ALUM12N into this beast but that tight fit makes for some great sound. My only complaint about this box are the inside speaker terminals, they are quite thin and feel cheap, that's something that can be upgraded pretty easily though if desired. Overall a great product.

Great amp

Installed amp 6 months ago with 2 pioneer 10's, 2 pairs of Infinity seperates + two more tweeters in an 08 F150 Super Crew, using reccomended power supply cables. No problems. Amp keeps up nicely. Friends comment on the accuracy and clairity of the sound and how LOUD it can get. I like the amp for those exact reasons also. For the price/performance/parent company, the amp is a great value. Built well.

Not bad for the money! Does a great job for a smaller car....

All in all, not a bad deal. One warning, the amp power wire is barely long enough for my install in a Suzuki SX4 (so if you have a larger or longer rather, vehicle, buy more wire). The head unit is great, couldn't be happier with this purchase overall. The sub is better then what I thought a $40 sub would be, but it hits pretty well. The idea behind my kit was not to make anyone go deaf but rather to push the seats with enough bass for a variety of songs....this does the trick and then some. The amp is by far the best part this combo.....took me awhile to get the settings right but this was a great deal....

Did the job cheaply but not impressive by any means

I ordered the 4 gauge kit actual wire was that of 8 gauge and a lot of insulation. Luckily, I was just getting 4 gauge for overkill being that there was not much wire for power to flow through. Excellent for a single amp that only needs 8 gauge. A large amp. Buy something else!

Decent for the price

It hooked up my 4 channel 360w amp. The wire looks like 4guage until you cut into it. Then it appears to be smaller when you actually see the copper. Its not 8ga small but it definitely has less copper wire than other kits I have used. All the accessories were decent. I used my own RCA's as they are higher quality. Cant beat the price but you could probably pay a little more and get better quality!

I installed in a '97 Chevy Cavalier. I have 4 6-1/2" Polk and 1 12" Blaupunkt Sub and this amp hits hard. Clean power. No issues. Best buy for your buck. Owned since June 2011 and no issues. Clean, super clean power. My speakers sound like they are suppose to. Thought my Polks were bad. They are now alive. Sweet!!!

INSANE VALUE, fuse holder isnt best

The kit in all is an INSANELY great deal. Wires are all excellent quality. Only problem i have with it is that the fuse holder does not hold the fuse very tightly, i had to put a small piece of foil about 1/2"x1/2" folded twice on each side to get the desired fit.

PROS; This amp is a great value for what you get. Well built. All the needed controls for various speaker setups. Fed with 1/0 gauge power and ground, with 10 gauge speaker connects will keep damping factor of the amp in very good control of rears and sub. I saddled mine with Infinity Kappa 62.9i front, 692.9i rear and Infinity Reference 860 sub in properly tuned ported enclosure in the trunk which gives superb sound all the way down to a very solid 28Hz bottom end. Properly adjusted and installed, this is the best bargain one can find in a class AB² SEPP amp. Obviously the amp has a large footprint, but realize 5 channels have to be adequately cooled, since the class of amp it is, and the heat generated by it. I would buy this amp again if I had to once again choose, and would recommend this highly to anyone looking for a very solid built, well designed AB class amplifier.

CONS; There are very few for what you pay for and get in this amp. The only thing I would have done at the design level, which would obviously raise it's price in doing so, I would have used the LM6172 (audiophile quality 3000V/µs slew rate) op-amp rather than the noisy and dirty and very slow JRC 4558D (1V/µs slew rate) in the front end of the amp. Obviously we are talking about raising this amps performance level to audiophile quality by replacing them, and I may do this when summer gets here and repost the results.

good little amp

I put this amp into a boom box for my daughters softball team. It is pushing 4 6-1/2" RF speakers and a 10" RF sub all in sealed boxes inside a large cabinet. Even at the parks in open air it carries a good kick.

I used this with my 1000 watt Hifonics amp for a little while until I upgraded to Kicker wiring. There was definitely a big difference between the two. but for $25 compared to $115? This wire is amazing for the price. I wouldn't use this wire for more than a 600 watt setup, even though it says up to 1500 watts. And another thing, I'm using the 2 RCA's for my 4-channel amp and they seem to be doing pretty good. Would buy this again... if my setup was 600 watts or less..

Great Amp, but lacks some bass

Have a Polk MM6501 in the front, and Polk db501 in the back, and they sound really great. the problem is bass, you have to turn the bass pretty much up to get serious bass, but it then sounds like the amp is missing some watt to "control" the sub. so i have desided to get a monoblock to power my sub. the sub is a 12" Polk GNX12DVC 175W RMS 400W Peak. so i guess smaller and less power hungry sub will do fine on this amp.

I cannot believe how crappy this stuff is I swear if you dropped the power wire it would shatter! all this kit is absolute garbage... pay more and get a better kit! seriously. cause now I have to purchase another kit and throw this all away... sad story but live and learn I guess

Gets the job done

Basic average quality kit. Used it to wire a 4ch Ppi amplifier. Had it for just over six months with no complaints.

Probally best amp value on the market

I can't believe how good this amp is at the price. You get all that power in 4 channels and then almost 500 peak watts in the sub. Should be enough power for the whole vehicle when powering 1 maybe 2 10" subs (You may need a separate more powerful mono amp if you really want to rock those subs). This is also Class A/B so it will sound much more warmer than traditional amps. Crunch even throws in a free Bass remote line adjuster! I heard this at the store and thought it sounded better than my alpine and its was less than half the price.
