Alpine Type S
Its a good sub, i own 2 10s in my 2002 dodge ram. They sit under the back seat and they hit hard, I owned the JL w3 and honestly think that JL sounds better but they are more expensive

Great Sub
I am using this sub in my 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT8. I didnt want to loose any space in the back that I use for my dogs So I used the MTX Audio Thunderform enclosure. It worked out great but took some tinkering to make it seal perfectly with that enclosure. But once it was done I have some nice hitting bass. The interesting thing is that I can be inside the car and heave my ears hurting from the pressure from the sub, but on the outside of the car you can barely tell there is a sub pounding. I dont know if its just my car or the setup in the back? Either way at least I dont have to be worried about a cop stopping me for a noise issue.

beast of a woofer!
I got two of these and they're breaking in nicely after about a week or 2. I have these babies in a shared chamber sealed box that I built roughly 1.12 cubes so right at what alpine calls for. They're running 500rms each powered by my kicker dx1000.1. They will hit as low as my 15's and keep wanting more. not so much loud as rumbling and super clean sounding. Love them and recommend so hard.

Awesome!
For the price you can't get anything better. Build quality is really good. I hooked mine up to a pioneer 400w rms amp and it hits way harder than most 12's. I am really impressed with this sub. Alpine makes good stuff. If you are looking for a good sub buy this one you won't regret it.

Rockin my Impreza TS
I hooked this sub up to the Kenwood KAC-8105D amp. I only have it wired to 4 ohms, which gives it 300w rms, and I can only imagine what it would sound like with the whole 500w rms. This thing beats hard and clean! Sounds great and shakes the mirrors. I like this sub so much, I might even get a dual box and another one of these subs!

good
this sub sounds very clean and it gets very loud in a sealed box at 400 rms. it also looks very nice and is the best woofer for the price!

Good buy
I haven't installed the speaker yet, but seems to be high quality. Doing business with Sonicelectronix was smooth. I'm pleased with my purchase so far.

Very good subs
I got this alpine subs on Black Friday for $80 a piece and all I can say is you can't buy a better sub for $80. They are good, crisp, clear, and loud subs. I have them in a sealed enclosure with .54 cubic feet of air space and they sound beautiful

One of the best
Alpine makes great audio, but their subwoofers are amazing. It hits hard, can take the power, even more than it is rated. The bass is clean, smooth when in a sealed box. Love it. I think you will too.

Love it
Love my Type-S 10". I was so skeptical before I bought it because it doesn't have the street cred that the Type R has so I was hemming and hawing, would it handle what I wanted to put it through? I bought one and I am so happy. It pounds! I have it pushed by a Soundstream Rub 1.700 pushing 400 watts @ 4 Ohms stable. Being an older guy, I don't want to lose any more of my hearing as my wife can attest to. Got it set up nice in a Ground Shaker single bandpass box. Looks nice and sounds badass. Thank you Sonic and Alpine. Great job on all counts!

They bang hard
I received these as a christmas present for my truck and I have to say wow. I am absolutely in love with these. Be warned however, these subs were designed to be placed in bigger sealed or ported boxes and have a rather large magnet. I had to buy spacers for my truck box, which was luckily outward facing and i could afford the room. For downward facing however may not have been so lucky. They have plenty of power and bang hard, and the magnet size is all I have sort of had a problem with. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

Alpine SWS 10D2 in a tapped horn
Google lilmikes PICOWRECKER; free build plans on avsforum
a Tapped horn worthy to build
Alpine subs work great in TH applications.
If you build one of these the applications are only limited by size. With 600rms one picowrecker 10" sws can put out over 120db over a range of 20-80hz; I'm measuring 126db at the mouth of the horn.
A plate amp that works great for it is partsexpress yung 500D w/ 6db boost @30hz.
There's also lilmikes lilwrecker(alpine sws 15") and the housewrecker (kicker CVX)
bass you've never heard in your life from a single 10" sub
