Awesome subwoofer

Sturdy basket, really stiff suspension, thick surround, nice size motor structure, very rigid cone, hit the lows and highs very very well

STUPID LOUD

Bought 1 of these and am powering with a Precision Power p1000 (725rms@2ohm but saw a video where it dyno's around 930). Amp is absolutely DINKY!!! But very, very capable!I I built a custom 4 cu. ft ported box that uses a 6" flared precision port fully extended, which tunes to around 29-30 hz. Stinger pure copper wiring kit and cheapo Kenwood x399 (4v preamp outs and 22rmsx4 for $105!!). Car is Dodge Nitro, btw. Box fills almost the entire cargo area.

It is 2 in the morning, i just finished installing all of this stuff, and went out to walmart parking lot to let it rip, so my wife wouldn't divorce me. Gain set to about a quarter, a little dash of boost, LPF around 120, subsonic off.... and i turned on some bass boosted songs i got off of youtube. Particularly Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb. Turned volume to about 65-70%... and waited for the bass drop.

The bass hit so low, loud, and intense i thought i was going to get a nosebleed. I felt like bass was being farted down my throat. It rivaled my Kove Armageddon 15 I had back in high school. I'm back in the game 12 years later and couldn't be happier. I will continue to purchase American Bass subs in the future. Ridiculous bass, I discovered!!!

Amazing Subwoofer

Had one of these moving a little bit of hair in a T line box off a Power Acoustik 1500D.

Sonic doesn't state the airspace but I sent an email and have been told by the company it is 3.5 for a ported box, in case somebody wanted to know. I plan on getting another one day.

Magnificent subwoofers

Hate I’m doing this review after so many years after these have been discontinued. But these subwoofers HIT. I had a professional installer do my audio for me and his tuning had me falling in love with these subwoofers. These subs have been the best so far just wish they didn’t discontinue them I’d like to get me another pair.
