VTl-425 If you buy you will be sorry

This P.O.S. looked and felt okay out of the box but the video was marginally okay from the start and went "foggy" to the point of useless in about 3 weeks. It clearly (pun intended) is not weather sealed well enough. Unless you live in a dry hot environment like a desert then say goodby to your money.

Works As Advertised!

Installed this backup camera with the Pioneer AVIC-X920BT in my 2004 Ford Expedition. Camera was easy to wire up (although running the wires from the back to the front of the Expedition was a pain). Provides a good view behind the Exped and is a good complement to the rear parking sensors since now you can see what's setting the sensors off.

Was planning to purchase the Pioneer brand, but it was out of stock and would have required more mods to install. This one just bolts into the license plate.

Works Well - but DO NOT LIKE the VIEW

I bought this in July 2015 and have waited all this time to write a review. My main reason for buying the BOYO was its slim design that fits on top of the license plate. I live in NH and we cannot cover wording nor did I want to cover up the word Veteran on top of my plate which frame type cameras do. It works, and I haven't had any function problems with it, but without grid lines I cannot adequately judge the distance behind me. No matter how much I use it, I cannot figure out how close I am to an object. This is a real frustration. As soon as I can find a similar low profile camera with grid lines, I intend on replacing it. I have used rental cars with distance grid lines and they are accurate and effective. This camera and the odd birds eye view is very annoying.
