bangin' BOSS
Great amp, got two jl15's and they slam. I have its little brother the AR2500 powering two jl12's that pump hard. BOSS knows how to make quality budget products, looks good too. Total confidence in this brand and anything from Sonic Electronics is a safe bet. I plan on doubling what i have, strapping the AR.4000 to get the 8000watts and get another 2 15's then just getting another AR2500 for 2 more 12's. and maybe some 8's or 10's depending what deals sonic electronics has on ;)
PS Every amp gets hot, just make sure it gets good air flow and you have a really good ground, and you wont have problems because of it over heating.

Great deal
The Boss amp works great. It arrived on time no delays. All reps where very helpful, I would always use Sonic Electronix for all of my electronic needs.

Great amp but doesn't put out rated power
Sounds great, remote gain control works great, has a good HPF and subsonic filter, and the gain was easy to set to match the output from my bass processor. I'm getting about 700 watts rms output at 2 ohms and about 1050 watts rms at 1 ohm (measured with true RMS meters and factoring in group delay, impedence rise, etc.). This is with true 4 AWG pure copper power/ground cable and big 3 upgrade running on the stock alternator and battery (in 8th Gen Honda Accord). It appears to be 1 ohm stable although it's specified only down to 2 ohms. I ran it at 2 ohms for several months and am current running it at 1 ohm for past couple months. It went into protect mode (overheated) once early on before I upgraded the subwoofer speaker wire from 14 to 10 gauge and performed the big 3 upgrade.

Best Amp I've Had
I just bought one of these today and it makes my 2 alpine type e 10" subs bang hard without even breaking a sweat. You will need wiring bigger than 8 gauge cuz that's what I currently have in there and it's starving for power at points but it wouldn't be once I put my 2 gauge in very happy

Boss Is Hitting Low Notes!
Man I hear individuals hate on and bash Boss Audio but I'm here to tell u they either don't know how to install or hook up sound system equipment are just trying to get you to get jipped like they buddy or relative or even themselves by buying Upper class High end Name Brands. Iv'e had a couple of Boss class D amps and my uncle use to work in Audio shops fsince the mid 90's so he's 4-5 star experienced in hooking everythang up properly he tuned my amp set my radio spl settings and let me tell you Hard hitting Bass remote button is only on bout 4 to 5 it goes to 18, amp gain almost halfway everythang on my head unit is -negative man it is Rumble in The Trunk! I would say easy 725 watts @ 4 OHMS. Great for under $120 buks. As long as you don't have Competition woofers that require major wattage like 1000 watts eachRMS each speaker Boss will push reasonable DVC woofers that don't require monster watts. Install properly, Tune amp thoroughly, Set Head unit, WARNING The Amps Remote Control is not to be used as a volume button. Follow these steps thru and thru and you should be kosher. BASS=BOSS #I'm a Fan!

WHAT?!!? So confused
First I gotta say...I'm running 0 gauge ofc wire for power and ground, optima yellow top, 120amp alternator, 2 x Alpine 5th gen type R 12" at 1 ohm.
Was running a soundstream tx1.2000d amplifier that I bought new for $450. BLEW it within 50 minutes of run time playing Drake - Over.
Hooked this BOSS AR4000D...and let me tell you that I have had it for just over a month running exact same gear, and I cannot get it into protection mode haha!
Can't believe how good this amp is! And only paid $110!
Will definitely get another own and strap them together, it literally surprises me everyday how it handles!
GET THEM! stop listening to people that say these amps are the worst around...because it's definitely showing up my soundstream amp!

Overall great starter amp.
Great amp for anyone who is just starting up. Wattage and RSM is over rated no way near to what it says maybe it 25% of what the manufacturer states.

This amp is listed at 4000 watts and is not but for the price I got a great amp that adds plenty of thump to my system. Definitely recommend.

Fact Not Fiction
The Boss AR4000-D Amp Let me be 100% Truthful I read alot of reviews about Boss amps mostly bad reviews, But I know the reason why they leave bad reviews,They come from people who are not knowledgable about audio equipment and what factors need to be considered when purchasing amps, wiring kits, and head units etc.. Class d Boss amps will push any subwoofers that can handle 600 watts RMS as a pair meaning 300 RMS each sub, so if you got woofers that equal 2000 watts as a pair meaning 1000 RMS each sub and you put a Boss 3000 or 4000 class D 1 amp on them what do you expect read the specs in the amp guide info it tells the performance. And make sure you have the right size box set your head unit right and tune your amp according to your sub frequency and use true to size gauge amp wiring kits and use the remote gain control that comes with your Boss amp & hook up your equipment the right way and I promise you Boss won't dissappoint. Boss amps do overate their numbers in wattage though i'll admit that but its simple this amp puts out nowhere near 4000 watts but i scoped it and i can assure you it puts out 1600 @1ohm,1200 @2ohms,& 800@4ohms. If you ask me cheap price for this amount of wattage. And i have always been the type of person that test an item before i go off of other people's opinion all reviews aren't facts just other people's opinions most of the time. With all this said when i tweaked my settings on my head unit tweaked the amp settings to match my sub's frequency and adjusted my Remote control gain for the amp and by the way my amp is about at 2:00 pm that's like 12 -13 decibels it goes to 18 decibels thats all the way up so i have it turned up 2-3 notches past half way and my remote control gain isn't even half way and my whole car vibrates no flex zone.My head unit goes to 42 and on just 19-21 it's way to loud and make sure the head unit volts are 5 and up that's a important factor also. So when you follow these simple rules i promise you nothing but excellent results. Boss AR4000D is a great amp i will buy another one with no Problem. Another great Boss amp to buy to would be The Boss 3400D Riot Amp I owned it also had it for 8 months and great performance no cons at all sold it to my co-worker still going strong and hard til this day. I rock wit Boss they have great tweeters also i have owned like 5 sets and they all are still kicking loud and clear.

This amp is amazing for what I payed for it I owned boss amplifiers in the past never has failed me
For the price, it delivers a sound you will be looking for. I had an existing amplifier that was rated 1100 watts peak and RMS 330. I could tell the difference real quick. I truly believe you will like this product once you give it a try. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Sonic

Great value
The price was incredible. And it pushes the 2 mofo 12s nicely. However I can only run amp half the power. If I turn bass knob past half way amp cuts out.

Nice amp!
I have one of these powering a Planet Audio Big Bang 1200watt DVC 4ohm sub. Because this is a one channel amp and using a DVC sub I have them running at 2ohms. So that's supposed to be 3000watts Max power. No specified rms at 2ohms. But it has plenty of power for my 600watt rms 1200watt max sub. This amp does not over power my sub and subwoofer sounds great! **note to buyers this amp used in a sub application uses Alot of power so I'd also recommend a power capacitor at least 3 farads.

Very good amp for the price!
I bought this amp to push 4xNVX VSW124v2 in my 2019 Charger. This amp pushes all 4 subs with ease. It looks good, it performs good. I've had this amp for a couple of months and it's yet to overheat (I do have good ventilation for the amp). This particular model from BOSS is really well made. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to add an amp without going broke in the process.

Size/measurements are misleading
Purchased the amp primarily for the small size. Product says it is 5”. Pulled the amp from the box to start fitting it behind my Jack cover and the TRUE Measurement is 6 1/2”. Very misleading.

Almost 1500 RMS @ 1ohm!!
It's been tested guys with a SMD Dyno on BdWiz channel it did almost 1500 rms @ 1 ohm..wow!! and this price you can't beat that!!
also Boss Audio shall name this amp (AR-1500.1D) not "AR4000"
Warning: don't try to put it @ 0.5 or 0.8 ohms don't like it this amp it goes..PROTECT!!

Running this amp on 2 bb12's in a 4cu. Ft. Aero ported box and it is a trooper!!! I slam to and back from work which is 100 miles round trip and has never overheated or gave me any problems! Wouldn't say it's pushing the power it's rated at but is close! Recommend this budget amp any day!

BOSS AR4000d
The BOSS AR 4000d is well under rated!! I've hooked it up to my 15"L7 @ 2ohms and was literally blown away!! I know stereo equipment better than a lot of car stereo dealers, I've been hookin up my own systems since I was 15 yrs old and I'm 36 yrs old today!! And still doing it but the Boss AR 4000d and the price shoulda been around in my younger days LOL!!! This Amp in my opinion is well recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 thanks to SONIC ELECTRONICS for the hook up!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
