it is ok

The following review is for a previous version (P1400.4).

Does put out some power. But i'm doubtful that its 80 watts RMS per channel. I had 80 watt RMS audiobahns in the front and panasonic 35 watts RMS with pioneer tweeters. The audiobahns blew... The panasonics are still working along with the pioneers tweeters and still sound amazing. (Audiobahn speakers aren't great) Had this set up for about 6 months and then I noticed a noise. Checked everything, it was the amp. If I bumped it with my fist, the noise went away. Did that for about a week then I decided to bridge the rear terminals for an 8 inch sub. The amp popped after 20 minutes. The bass boost was at 0dB and gain 1/3 the way up on the rear channels.
And apparently Crunch has a different definition of 4 gauge terminals...I had to trim some 8 gauge just to fit them in there...
I recommend this amp for some descent 6x9's and it'll last if you don't abuse it. Don't bridge it. It'll get too hot.
If you like it loud and you are hard on your equipment like I am, look elsewhere and spend the Bill on something else. I replaced this amp with a Jensen (believe it or not) power 760 and it is amazing. I am achieving the same volume with the same amp settings that i had on the crunch and the jensen is half the price.... seriously.

Great cheap amp! Puts out a good amount of power. Doesnt draw to much amperage. Its not the clearest amp on the market, but worth the money.

Eh

The following review is for a previous version (P1400.4).

Well I bought the amp to run eminence on 2 channels and Subs on the other, for the first month it was pretty good until I found out the real rms of it. Then the tune nobs on the side stopped working so they got stuck on just all highs. And sonic says it needs a 4 gauge power and ground when 8 guage barely fits in.

excellent amp for the price, i have it hooked up to 2- 1200 watt pioneer subs (bridged at 700 rms each) and they work perfectly. never had a problem with overheating, and its never failed me yet!

Its Loud!!!!

The following review is for a previous version (PZT1400.4).

I got it running @ 2 ohms on 2 channels on 4 250 watt rms Pops 6x9s and its at 1/4 gain. And on the remaining 2 channels I have 2 35 watt rms Pioneer 6 1/2s, 2 35 watt rms 4x6s and 2 sets of 100 watt rms tweets wired down to 4 ohms all running from a 2V output Pioneer deck and it all sounds clean!

Great amp

The following review is for a previous version (P1400.4).

I am only using half of what this amp puts out and it is load. I am pushing music to tower speaker sets on my boat and at 80' with the boat running at speed, I can hear the music crystal clear. I can't wait to find some place to put the rest of what this amp has to offer.

Great Product

Amp looks good and does the job. Sleek red LEDs make it even more amazing. Only con is it does get a little toasty, but overall, I would by this amp again.

Decent amp

Bought this because its made by Maxxonics. Did lots of research and found them to be a great brand. Crunch is just the budget end of Maxx. The amp its self was bigger than i was expecting. Had a very good weight to it. did not feel light and ceasy. One big CON is that the power inputs are the same size as the speaker out puts. meaning its impossible to install 6ga wire. i had to cut away half of the strands in order to clamp down on the positive and ground leads. But over all for the price i cant complain. installed in in a boat vertically with inputs on top and outputs on bottom. im driving a pair of Kenwood KFC-6994PS and a pair of Kenwood KFC-415C. together they sound fantastic. cant complain. this amp makes em' sing. from the bumpy lows to the crisp highs. (this amp was able to make the voltage drop on our boat which has a 50 amp alternator when we cruising down the lake. no distortion at all!!)

Nice, affordable amp.

I bought this amp to push a couple 10" subs. Hook up is pretty straight forward.
