Great value!

I recently ordered a pair of these for my ext cab sierra. I made a custom ported box for under the back seat of .69 cu/ft per chamber tuned to 32hz. They are powered by an Alpine PDX 1.1000. All I can say is WOW!!! Greatly exceeded my expectations! They sound great to all types of music. Before these I had 2 alpine type r 10's in a sealed box under the seat, and the DC's blow the alpines out of the water! And they are 8's compared to 10's. The DC's are way better built too. You can see, feel, and hear the quality. I haven't heard the jl audio w7 8's... But I can't imagine you would get much more sound, and especially considering they are over double the price. I am now a HUGE DC AUDIO fan! They are the real deal!!!!

Dc Audio M3-8D2

The quality and craftsmanship is amazing, I hated to put them in a box. The sound quality is better than my old Alpine type R 15" and they don't take up 6 cubic feet of space.

Amazing Product!

I have had 2 different sets of 8s now, I had old rockford p2 punches, now this DC audio 8s. They sound amazing with deep bass but not as great on the higher bass. Don't get me wrong they sound amazing, I've had them for maybe a month now and they already make my windows, windshield, and roof flex on my 2014 Frontier. They hit and sound better than most 12s 10s and even 15s that I've heard. I highly recommend this for anyone that wants something that sounds great for deep bass. Once they're fully broken in they'll sound amazing with the higher bass too!

Mind blowing

I had a a punch BD 1000.1. Which is my favorite amp. I bought a single cab ford ranger and wanted to keep the 1000 well sonic electronics help me to pick a speaker that would fit both the amp and the vehicle I had never heard of a DC audio but I know I want an 8 inch. Woofer. So I purchased one brand-new and on that BD it handles all of it and it's every tone everyone note as a 10 or a 12 hour by them until I stop having music this

Great price when bought.

This sub does the job in the trunk of a mini Cooper. Sound quality is great and if I want harder lows, it can handle it. But, no need to turn heads as it's just for my enjoyment.

SUPER BAD SUBWOOFER

Great subwoofer, had a 12" 1000 watts VCW subwoofer and this mini woofers plays almost as loud. Have it in a 1.1 CF box tune to 36hz. I have only had it for about 2months so far very good! :)

Lil guys slam!

I bought 4 of these, bout to buy 2 more, I have them on a Brutus 2100 at 14.5 volts, built my own box. These bad boys are clean and mash on some lows, definitely recommend.

THIS THANG'S A BEAST!

I never knew that 8's could handle this much power. It's great if you want power, but want to conserve trunk space.

Pros: lots of hard hitting bass. handles lows really good for such a small speaker. with so many watts, u can feel the bass even if the volume is not turned all the way up.

Cons: the frequency range (which for some reason is not stated) is limited. i can understand because of the small size, but when higher bass frequencies start to play, it's not as powerful then.

I'm powering this sub with a Kicker amp pushing 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms so it's getting the right amount of power. I would recommend this speaker, but if you want a wider frequency range, then 12's are always great. This speaker works for me since I'm conserving trunk space, and I really like lows.

Best sounding 8

I didn't purchase my sub from sonic but I have ordered a ton of stuff from them. Sonic is the best.
Anyway I own the M3-8 and in my opinion its the best sounding sub I have owned. Its only an 8 but sounds like a 12 in the ported box I built for it. I have it running off a Rockford Fosgate P1000X5 which is putting out 600W @ 1 ohm on the sub channel. I wish I could throw more power at it as I know it could take it. If I ever replace this sub it will definitely be a DC subwoofer.

Holy cow!!!

Previous to purchasing this DC Audio M3 8 D2 I have never owned an 8" sub and to be honest I had never really considered this size sub either. I received it on 5/3/2018 and placed it in an Atrend 8SQV, also purchased from Sonic Electronix. I put it in my car on 5/4 and hooked it up to an amp that is actually coming out of my car soon, Rockford Fosgate R500X1D. I am drawing a 2 ohm load from the amp for 500 watts RMS. Yes, it is under-powered by 100 watts at the moment but this is temporary and I wanted to hear it bang. It not only hits like a larger sub but it played anything I threw at it. Yes, this is a mirror rattling little monster! Buy it folks. You will not regret it.

DC for the win

Slapped 3 of these in a 2-1 4th order in a Jeep Wrangler. Have to say they impress anyone who hears them. Loud and super clean bass.
